I called first to inquire about walk ins and the lady on the phone was very nice. When I got there, I was greeted with a smile and told someone would be with me shortly. I love this place. Everyone is so nice and I feel like they're actually genuinely friendly - unlike other places that seem colder. They get me in and out quickly. They're very sweet to the kids who come in here. Every time I come, there is at least one child getting her toes done with mom. I've been to other nail salons where children don't really seem welcome. I'd like to come in every two weeks but I don't always have time for that. Even at 3 weeks, my toes still haven't chipped. Really bad pedicure. Clipping of nails is crooked, the middle toe, he totally missed. Numerous complaints I could post. The extra $$ I paid for paraffin, massage, hot towel?! Where was the paraffin and a "hot towel" does not mean wiping your feet with a hot towel for a whole "Hot Second"!!! I asked for straight, short nails with attention to ingrown edges....the gentleman did neither. Will never go back.....big disappointment for my Spring Pedicure. Best nail spa! I have been going here for years. I love the massage chairs and big tv. They always keep the channel on something interesting. The staff and owner are always kind and attentive. They have alot of regular clients that I notice when I'm getting my service, they seem to be pleased as well. I don't live in STL but am here frequently for work. So I needed to find a reliable nail salon to go to when I couldn't go to my regular girl at home. I love this salon! Tony (the owner) usually does my manicures, but I've also had Wanda. I started with gel and now have moved to the powder dip nails. Seem to be a little bit better for my nails. My nails always look fabulous when I leave! They also excel at pedicures. I've had Nina, Nancy, and Mi (not sure of the spelling but pronounced "Mee"). I am terribly ticklish and have never particularly enjoyed pedis. But these gals are always sensitive to my ticklishness and take care of me! The massaging pedi chairs are also a plus. I followed Ann here because she is AMAZING at what she does. She is always gentle and keeps my nails looking fresh. So talented and up to date with the latest and greatest techniques and designs. I wish it were closer to my house, but it's well worth the drive! My polish never lasts anywhere else/ Although I've only personally seen Ann, my mom goes to Nancy and raves about her as well! Leaving work in need of a pedicure decided to try a place close by and found Exquisite Nails. The place was nice and clean and there were an assortment of colors to choose from. I quickly picked out a color and was seated. A few minutes later a younger woman came and started working on my pedi. I didn't think much about anything cause it was a long day at work and I just wanted to relax. I turned the chair massage on and attempted to simply rest and enjoy the pedicure. That was quickly cut short when it to the lady FOREVER to cut my toes. I told her I wanted them short but sadly she cut them so short 1. They were crooked and 2. There was no room to file. This was a disaster but I wanted to give her some grace although I already know that this experience was going to be bad. She was a nice girl but unfortunately unskilled. I've had pedicures for YEARS and you know when your dealing with a person of experience versus someone that is not. I will not come here again. I would probably give 0 stars if that was possible. So I used a tech others recommended on yelp, Nina. She was nice enough and my very first time she did a great job, had manicure. The second time I went for pedicure and manicure. I had to wait 20 mins, I had appointment. Then she came over with same instruments from previous client. She went to the kitchen so I thought when she came back maybe she would grab new instruments, but obviously no because before she starts she used some kind of spray on them and wiped them off. Shame on me for not stopping her but when I asked if they are sterile the condescending tone implied I was stupid for asking this question. Then when she cut my toe nails she went deep down on the side at such an angle it hurt, she said it makes for a better looking manicure. I had a sore toe for a few days but thankfully no infection. After I moved for my manicure. She used a rough buffer on my nails, I am guessing they were out of the old ones because I asked her and she said oh it is only light buff I am not pressing hard, well I now have a lot of deep scratches on my nails thanks to her! Finally, if all of that was not bad enough, I went over to dryer and there was a dead cockroach by the wall. I know they are sandwiched next to a restaurant but according to the reviews this place was clean. Not to mention all the dust and tumbleweed size dust bunnies behind the chair. Beware ladies of this one, save your time, money and possible infection!!!! I will be filing a complaint on this shop. read more

I happened to stumble upon this place while out running errands in Kirkwood. I have not experienced such a friendly staff at a nail salon. I was immediately greeted and placed right in a chair. I got a gel manicure and the exquisite pedicure, I had two technicians which was great and made my visit quick! Wonderful massage with my pedicure. After going there for my Pedi's on & off for 3 years, I experienced my worst Pedicure from a man at their shop on Friday 8/1 (NOT Tony - he's great!). I received No foot or leg massage as I watched the two ladies next to me get pampered! My heels are still rough! My Polish looks very unprofessional, not even extended to the end of my toenails! I have to say I am disappointed!! Next time I'm calling to get Nina or Wanda!! I learned my lesson!! read more

I really enjoy this place a lot they have a large extensive selection of Gel Polish colors. Everyone here is good , friendly, and has their own specialty. There are times where it does get busy but that's why I make an appointment. They do carry OPI, ESSIE, CND, Gelish and more! There isn't ever a bad experience here and I after you're done you can grab lunch at St. Louis Bread Co. Its a good runaway from the kids when they're off to play sports or other activities. I have never had an issue with the wait, but if there is a concern for time it is always easy to make an appointment. This was my first visit to Exquisite Nails. I was impressed by the good reviews online. I had a terrible experience. I wasn't asked to pick a color until after I had cotton balls and foil on my nails to remove my previous polish. Having the foil and cotton balls made it hard to look through the swatches so my technician offered to help me. She picked a color that I didn't like and seemed annoyed that I didn't like it. While doing my nails, she took a large chunk out of skin out of my cuticle to the point where it bled with the electronic grinder. She kept going over that spot until I finally pulled my hand back and told her that it hurt. Also while doing my nails, she layered dip powder and gel polish which is extremely unusual. The result was thick and chunky. It was also very messy and ended up all over my fingers. I was not at all impressed with my experience. I plan to return to my normal place to have these nails removed as soon as possible. read more

I usually get dip powder manicures and there are tons of color selections. He's great at pedicures too, even though I'm super ticklish. My friend and I walked in and we were greeted the ladies that did our pedis were nice, the only reason I gave 1 star. Upon completing our pedicures they received a phone call, 6 ladies would be coming in at 6 to get manicures. As a customer I didn't think anything of it, I was getting acrylic soaked off. My friend was being serviced as the group of 6 ladies entered the salon, well instead of me being next, they serviced the 6 ladies ahead of me. My friend asked her tech who would be doing my nails, she replied me. My facial expressions tell my mood and I wasn't trying to argue. As my friend washed her hands the same nail tech approached me and said she was sorry for the wait I replied "it's very unfortunate for your business" she finished my friend. I sat in her chair and again she was apologetic however she said " we had appointments for 6" I told her that wasn't true the 6 ladies had just called and said they needed to be served together, she said "yes but their father just died" so I just ok. So my experience is of this; my time nor my money wasn't valuable, they don't know what personal issue my myself or my friend were having. It was very inconsiderate on their end to accept any more walk-ins if they really had large group scheduled at 6p.m. We arrived at 4:45 and they were NOT busy, had they said to us upon our arrival we definitely wouldn't have stayed! My money is green just like the next customer, we should've been treated and serviced like the next customer. Of course we were talked about right in our faces for not tipping, they cater to a certain type and I will NEVER patronize this business again! read more

Went yesterday for a manicure before a big event today. The place was nice and not as strong-smelling as some, but it was a nice day and the doors were open, so YMMV. Got it quickly and although the nail tech was nice, I wasn't overly wowed by the results. Now, less than 24 hours later, I write this on my way to the event, after just discovering that TWO of my nails already have major peeling. Like the ends of the French manicure peeled off. I haven't cleaned, worked outside- haven't done much more than shower since my manicure. So disappointed, and my nails look terrible. They would have looked better unpainted. Alot of customers when I got there which made me feel good. Unfortunately the polish didn't last. Got the mani pedi on Saturday and by Tuesday it was already peeling and chipping. Very disappointed!
