This review is long overdue (because they deserve it!) so here it goes. Cathy and the team helped us orchestrate our wedding back in June. Every wedding day is full of anxiety and stress along with a lot of happiness of course! Advice you get from people is usually along the lines of, "expect something to go wrong, nothing will be perfect but it will be fine." I am happy to say we had a near flawless wedding and in no small part to exquisite NY and the team. Unless you are blessed with a wedding planner, you have to rely on your vendors to really help you manage your wedding. Cathy did an excellent job of MCing the night for us and moving things along. All of our guests commented all night and the days and weeks after about how much fun they had and how well run it was. Cathy also added a few touches to our slight Star Wars themed wedding which was a welcome surprise and shows how much Cathy and the team cares about their client's special day. Everything from the ceremony, DJ and photo booth was managed "exquisitely" by Cathy and the team. One of our favorite moments was a 5 minute video clip of our old pictures growing up and then pictures of us together while we were dating. My fiance and I got married on August 5th, 2017 and engaged with ExquisiteNY for MC/DJ Services. We went with Billy as the DJ, and Titus as the MC. Based on all the amazing reviews and feedback (and videos) we had seen on Facebook and Yelp, we did what any prospective engaged couple would have done. We met the ExquisiteNY team in person and were sold on their promises of an amazing Wedding Day. We did do our research and meet with other prospective MC/DJs but decidedly went with ExquisiteNY. Unfortunately... it looks like my fiance and I were the ones that were misled. Our experience and level of service leading up to, and delivered, on our big day was far from exceptional. We can say that they did show up and did do the bare minimum. Communication: Our in person meeting with the team led us to believe we would be able to reach ExquisiteNY for any questions around schedule planning and missing items we need to send over. We were also told we would have another in person meeting in the weeks leading up to our Wedding Day, but this definitely was not the case. Giving them the benefit of the doubt for e-mail response times (we assumed the team would be busy with other couples), we would wait multiple weeks to months for any responses. But as we got closer to our big day, the ExquisiteNY Team did respond much more frequently (every 3 - 5 days). What we did not realize was that many of our original e-mails slipped through the cracks and the team was largely unprepared. We did not have a final in-person meeting to finalize any of our documents, and since no questions were ever brought back when we asked, we assumed they were prepared. Very poor communication and very difficult to get a hold of anyone on the team. (Their # goes back to a Google Voice Number) Wedding Program: My fiance and I actually ended up drafting our own schedule because we weren't able to get any direction or guidance from ExquisiteNY. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps we are the ones who should be making the draft and sending it to them for review? We did just that and sent them a copy for review a month in advance. But that is where the trail ended, they did not give us any replies or adjustments... until THE DAY BEFORE our Wedding Day. This is definitely not something we would wish on any couple getting married, to have only a 1st draft of the wedding program a day before the wedding. Wedding Day: Not quite sure where to start... We've heard from all of our married friends that nothing goes exactly according to plan on the Big Day, but we did not expect the type of pitfalls we experienced from ExquisiteNY. For one example, as my fiance and I were taking photos with our photographer, Titus pulled me away to review Family Names (parents, uncles, aunts, etc) for formal announcements. This may have been a quick run-through, but Titus did not have the updated documents we had sent 2-3 months prior. Assuming this may have slipped through the cracks again, I went through my emails to send him the updated copy. Reviewing all of the names as well as the Grand Entrance sequence again, my fiance and I missed out on photography time with our Wedding Cake and the Main Ballroom. These names were then reviewed again with both of our parents as we lined up for the Grand Entrance. After the Grand Entrance, there was another major slip up with the above Family Name formal announcements. My mothers entire side of the family was skipped, and a few names from the brides side of the family were forgotten. We did speak with Titus shortly after this for him to stop the music and announce the family members missed, but this left a horrible impression on both our families and guests. In our first initial meeting, we had also spoke around games to be played for our guests (or even ourselves), but this ended up not happening at all. Our family, friends, guests, and ourselves were never engaged in any events other than the usual Bouquet and Garter Tosses. Summary: It does look like we are the odd ones out, and we hope no couple ever experiences what we experienced on our Wedding Day with ExquisiteNY. We're not sure if it's because we gave them the benefit of the doubt so many times, or if it is because they took advantage of us, but our family, friends, guests, and ourselves were very disappointed with ExquisiteNY. We did reach out to their team after our wedding to see if we could figure out what went wrong, but ultimately we were told it came down to 'factors beyond our control'. For the money requested and services rendered, we had hoped for at least a little more collaboration, communication, and delivery. But as per our contract agreement with ExquisiteNY, my fiance and I paid all expenses in full. We wish the best for any future couples looking for a bilingual MC/DJ, but please be wary. read more

We chose Exquisite NY for our wedding in October 8th. We loved the experience! They offered different types of entertainment, sound packages, and any add-ons you can think of. We went with the Elegant Experience package, which included DJ/MC, ceremony officiant, a customizable wedding slideshow, a HUGE sound system with lighting, and awesome social-media-capable photo booth. The Process: Exquisite NY made wedding-planning so easy. Everything could be done via email and phone so we didn't have to take time off our hectic schedule. They plan every detail ahead of time with basically an interview and questionnaire. DJ: Our guests raved about the music. They created the perfect playlist of our favorites, just off of a sample of 25 songs! At the end of the night, our guests didn't want to stop dancing! Photo booth: The photo booth was so fun and easy to use. And social-media capable! Guests were uploading shots right after they took it! Awesome quality photos and topical props (superhero masks, emoji's, speech bubbles, etc.) Great for children, elders, anyone in between. MC: We were lucky to work with Cathy. A bit of an overdue review as we got married on November 2019, but I have to say the Exquisite team really pulled through for us! We originally found them through our friends referral on our search for bilingual MC services. When we first met Cathy, we knew we found our match! She was so easygoing and you can tell she has a lot of experience as an MC. At the time we also did not have an officiant and to our delight, Cathy was also a tenured officiant. We found Exquisite through a friend's recommendation. We are both Chinese and would have a lot of Chinese guests who wouldn't speak English so we wanted an emcee / DJ who were familiar with and could work with that population. We loved the feel of Exquisite because they are bilingual and catered to both our English and Chinese speaking guests without being too traditionally Chinese (since my husband and I aren't really that traditional). Our emcee was Cathy and she was wonderful. From planning to the actual night of, she was friendly, flexible, and so easy to work with. My husband had planned a surprise change of songs during the first dance and Cathy and Carlos (the dj) were more than happy to accommodate and give advice. On the evening of, Cathy was very patient with our last minute changes in schedule. She very enthusiastically tried to get our guests excited and involved without being forceful. My wife was referred to ExquisiteNY from a friend of hers that used them for their wedding. We planned our wedding virtually from CA but Cathy was great to work with even from 3,000 miles away. She was really organized and put together a detailed itinerary which put us at ease (our wedding was VERY busy with multiple things going on). During our first phone meeting, Cathy stated that we're not just hiring an emcee, that we were also hiring a coordinator. My contact was Billy, he did my cousin's wedding and everything was great so my husband and I decided to book Billy and Titus for our wedding for March 2017. Everything went smooth, Billy was easy going and responded to my inquiries very fast. The slideshow was wonderful! I wanted to make small changes on the slideshow before the wedding and they had no complaints about that and made the changes for me. Our guests loved the photo booth and halo booth! The quality of the pictures were high. Guests were surprised with the halo because many have never used one before, so it was a fresh experience! The Halo does animated gifs and boomerang shots. If you book, you should definitely get both the photo and halo booth. The music was great all night. Billy easily attended to song requests. Titus did an amazing job at our wedding, over seeing the ceremony and reception in a timely manner. Her sweet personality, upbeat spirit and attention to detail of the planning process was by far one of the most pleasant encounters throughout the entire course of my wedding planning. When other parts of my wedding planning was starting to get stressful and the nerves were starting to get to me, she patiently spent over 2 hours on the phone with me to run down the schedule. Cathy surpassed the role of the MC and offered so much support and guidance on the other little wedding details I would've otherwise overlooked. She was amazing throughout the reception, brought the crowd their feet in both English and Cantonese, with the perfect balance of entertaining both the young friends/coworkers as well as the older generation chinese families. The photo slideshow was a really nice touch that showcased her work and responsiveness to requests.
