I am so glad I found this company, after many attempts with other locksmiths. I had an older smartlock that started chewing up batteries, so I needed to replace it. I sent requests to several locksmiths, including a link to the lock I currently had, and asked what would be the best replacement lock, and the price for the lock and installation. Extra Locksith were the only ones who actually replied with information (instead of trying to make an appointment and charge an unknown amount once they get to your house). They recommended a lock for me (sent me the link) so I was able to see it and verify that it met our needs. When I asked the cost for the lock and installation, they said I could just buy the lock myself (because it costs them the same) and it would be a flat $150 for installation. Horrible lack of service. Some technician tells me he's finishing up a job then he's on his way to me. Gives me an attitude when I call him back to ask about an ETA. None given, not even the slightest attempt to be courteous to your customer. so he tells me I should get another company to help me out. I have an old 1990 Ford car that I needed to get a replacement key for. The key I had to copy was very worn, and also starting to break at the base. They sent over a tech named Eli - from start to finish he was extremely professional and well versed on the best lock options for my home. I think he could tell that I was shaken up, vulnerable even...and instead of trying to force an up-sell he was comforting and helpful. We ended up purchasing two new locks for our home, but Eli went the extra mile and fix the locks we did not replace to ensure they were sound. I watched him stand outside in 27 degree weather for an hour repurposing the literal CRAP job my jerk of a landlord had done before. Eli didn't have to do that...but he did!
