When I placed my order, the representative told me he was viewing an aerial photograph of my property and confirmed that the 16-foot container could be placed in my backyard. I relied on that assurance and scheduled movers to fill the POD the day after my scheduled delivery. The morning of the delivery, the driver called me and told me the container could not be placed on my lawn. He canceled my delivery without notifying me! I found out via email. The email falsely stated that I had canceled the order. PODS accepted my order based on a placement they had supposedly reviewed and approved, only to reject it at the last minute--leaving me scrambling to find another container with my movers already scheduled. The driver was argumentative, and he never even came to the property. The underlying problem is that PODS assured me in advance that the requested placement was possible without properly determining whether it actually was. This caused enormous stress, wasted time, and potentially substantial additional expense. Customers should not be given assurances by sales representatives that the delivery team will not honor. Extremely poor customer service.

I couldn't believe it. On A Saturday!! When I showed up at the property I am managing where the MI- BOX had been delivered, I arrived to an angry neighbor who threatened to have the box towed due to an ocean view easement I was unaware of. The driver was also aware of the angry neighbor because he too had received a call from said neighbor. After some smoozing with the neighbor, the driver turned around, came back to the property and moved the box to appease the angry neighbor. Hands down the best and courteous customer service! My 19yr old Son, who never took a day off prior, asked for a day off to say goodbye to his terminally grandfather in Boston (my Dad) ...who was the best Dad and Papa in the world (imo). Zach Ellis told him if he took the day off, he cant work there anymore and replied to him with text messages that made my skin curl. The text exchange, which I will share at a later date, is so offfensive that it made my mom (the widow) cry. How can anyone, business owner or otherwise, have this much greed and lack of human empathy. I have friends of mine that worked for the Ellis's years ago and it was a reputable business that cared about there employees and customers. There was no damage to any of my belongings and nothing went 'missing', as had happened years ago with another moving company out of Acton. My furniture was fully wrapped with clean, quilted blankets, while other crew members moved items, , and the crew chief organized items being placed in the truck. Everyone had primary responsibilities and all crew members helped lift and carry. iIt was great witnessing such a hard working, disciplined team.
