When I first moved my things into this storage place I was relieved to find a clean, friendly environment to store my belongings. Management was friendly and the price was perfect for my 10x10 unit. It started at $54/month and then after a few months it went up to $64/month. No biggie. Then things started to change. Last month I found a dead mouse in my unit. The manager came and cleaned it up, but I was still quite disgusted. They did give me a discount on my next month of rent there, so that helped a little. I was initially going to post a review when I found the mouse, but I decided to be gracious. Now they have the GALL to not only increase my monthly rent, but DOUBLE it! So now instead of paying $64/month, they have gouged their price to $128/month without ANY upgrades or changes in their end. This place is an absolute rip off. As soon as you move in, they will expeditiously increase your rent and then eventually double it! Do not rent here! I can't wait to move out! Terrible ethics and terrible management! I've been a wonderful tenant and they STILL doubled their rent. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

We had items stored there for a few years. Upon our move out they recommended a preferred company to assist us. Strong Movers was hired to move us from the unit during the move an expensive item was apparently set to the side and subsequently left behind. Initially the staff at Extra Space informed us they were aware of the item when we requested they reach out to the individual to retrieve our item their story changed and the denied telling us what had actually happened. The police had to be called in and it was determined to be a civil batter which we intend to pursue. I would not use this facility nor would I use Strong Movers of Chicago. Neither honored their responsibility and refused to reimburse us under their insurance. DO NOY USE read more

A few years ago I was with extra space storage in berwyn Illinois, and it wasn't the best experience. Eventually I moved my belongings to public space storage in berwyn Illinois, and that was the worst! experience. Finally i found myself with no other options so I went back to extra space storage. but this place is way different then the rest it's clean, my unit is close by the restroom, and it isn't hot inside That doesn't make you feel like your in a sauna, and it doesn't look like the set of silent hill and wondering if triangle Guy will appear down the hall. The staff is great. in particular the store manager Adolfo Naranjo he was great since the beginning when I was setting up the date to move my things to this location, he called and made sure things were set up right. When I did come and signed the the agreement etc. he was kind, considerate, and friendly. And wanted to make sure I got the right unit. But to my dismay I made the mistake in the size I choosed and because it was after hours I sent email to him regarding my situation. The following he day called me right away, and offered another unit to help with my situation and on the same floor I wanted. I was so glad and the difference in the pay was reasonable. Finally I moved my things to the bigger unit. And it fit perfectly just like he said. Adolfo Naranjo goes about and beyond and helps with any issue you may have to figure out.
