The move dragged on until 10:30 PM, nearly a third of my belongings were left behind, and boxes that were moved were mislabeled or put in the wrong rooms. Despite leaving the job incomplete, they still handed me a bill for more than $4,000. I refused to sign because the work was not finished. The next day I had to hire another licensed mover for $3,000 just to complete the job. AJ, the owner, claimed only four hours of work remained and that his same three guys could come back Monday to finish. That was not an option, as the house needed to be cleared Sunday. In reality, it took a five man crew five hours on Sunday to finish the work. Not only did Accelerated Deliveries fail to complete the job, the part they did complete almost made things worse. Items meant for downstairs were put upstairs, belongings were left piled in the garage, and one of the crew admitted it was only his second day ever moving. I hired them because of their reviews, but after working with them it seems like they are more suited for moving college dorm rooms than a 5,000 square foot house. AJ, the owner, was cool and apologetic on the phone, but then he followed up by sending me a demand letter for payment on an incomplete job. UPDATE: I've disputed the charges with AJ the owner and he has not been responsive in a resolution. He fraudulently processed a payment on our credit card with no authorization form. He pulled the card info from our deposit and charged the card without our permission despite a very transparent dispute of the chargers and me having to hire another company that cost me $3,000+ to finish their job.

I paid a $50 deposit and agreed to a clearly outlined rate of $282/hour for 4 movers, with an estimated 8 hours of labor and 1 hour of travel time. The move was local--just 1.1 miles from one 4-bedroom home to another. A week before the move, I received a confirmation email and even called the company with a question. They answered promptly, and everything seemed in order. Then, 20 minutes before the scheduled move time on August 2nd, I got a call saying they couldn't come. Their reason? One of their two drivers quit, and they had no one to operate their non-CDL 26-ft trucks. I was told the earliest they could move me was Monday, August 4th. I made it clear that I had to be out of my house by Sunday, August 3rd, and waiting until Monday was not an option. I asked for alternatives--a late Saturday move, a Sunday move, a discount, a referral to another provider--anything. The manager told me, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do," and only offered to return my deposit. It took nearly 72 hours for a confirmation email to be sent that my deposit was refunded and that was only after I emailed the business and requested it . Because of their last-minute cancellation, my wife and I had to move every box ourselves in a Ford Edge and a Nissan Altima. It took us 8 hours in the summer heat with no help. We still had to hire last-minute movers for the following day to move the large items that we were unable to fit in our cars. Because of the last-minute timing forced on us, we had to pay $1500+ for only 4 hours of work. This was completely unprofessional, irresponsible, and left us stranded on a major life transition. We realized our kids played baseball for the same league so she kept up with me through out my grandmothers illness. My granny ended up passing away and the home was left for my sister and I to deal with. My granny was a collector of many things and it was a tremendous job to clean it out. Brooke, her assistant and her husband came to help us finish the job doing the hardest part which was emptying out a very full and very hot attic (in July). They also helped me clean out the last two rooms. They were very careful and meticulous to leave anything that could be of value out for me. The times that I couldn't be there with them they actually packed items in boxes for me. I couldn't recommend this company more. They are caring, hard working, empathetic and they did an amazing job cleaning out the rooms and attic we hired them for. What I love about this company is I felt cared for and they were comforting me as we did this very hard task right after loosing my grandmother. The service I received was unprofessional and resulted in significant damage to my property due to the negligence and lack of experience demonstrated by the three-person crew. Despite a short five-minute drive between locations, the moving truck took 30 minutes to arrive. Upon inspecting my belongings, I discovered that my items had not been properly padded or secured during transport. Specifically, the dining room table base has substantial holes on two sides. Additionally, a wood sofa table fell apart during the move. It appeared that an unsuccessful and undisclosed attempt was made to repair the table before I saw it, which I find purposefully deceitful. The crew failed to disclose any of this damage until I pointed it out myself. Furthermore, I was disappointed that the crew attempted to take the 65-inch TV box, for which I specifically paid $125.00. During this time the "lost" the dolly within minutes of showing up. In addition, they also did not wrap or protect my items which resulted in them dropping and breaking my new anthropology mirror. They also damaged my new lamps and night stands. A two hour, at most three hour move turned into 5 hours as they lost the dolly and couldn't load the 15 totes quickly. I also had very minimal items. King bed, 15 totes and smaller items. They also had to cleanup the mirror out of the parking lot which add additional time. Once they got to my new place, I also noticed one guy sitting in the truck on his phone for an hour while the other guy was doing all the work. Again, adding more time. I reached to the company out as soon as I learned of all of this information. As soon as I told them about the item(s) broken and damaged I received another invoice for another 2 hours. Of note, I paid for my whole move prior to them even showing up and starting. Once I saw this this invoice in my email (after reporting the items damaged / broke) I reached out and was told they could have charge me 3 hours but took off an hour due to the "mishaps." One hour off due to all the issues and broken items? That's sounds fair. Right? This is very disappointing and frustrating as I am being charged for their workers inability to work efficiently and not break items and lose a major tool for moving. I even asked if I could get them a dolly to help and Jordan told me no you've got 30 mins left on the move. Also, every other move they have wrapped up items to prevent any issues. This time they did not. Several emails back and forth and they finally said they would waive the invoice of $380 if I dropped the claims with them for my mirror and other items damaged. I said no to this as they are trying to charge me more money and also not pay for the items they broke/ damaged. Once they learned of the damaged items, they charged me more money in order to say we will waive it if you drop the claims. How does that even make sense or good business? How is that fair? UPDATE: They are still trying to charge my card. I cancelled the card after several additional attempts. Goes to show you how they will scam you!

First of all they called me twenty minutes earlier than arrival time to tell me they were stuck in traffic and would be ten minutes late which they barely were. The first thing they handed me was the NC moving rights which kudos, that was a brilliant trustworthy tactic. The two guys who assisted me were both polite and thorough, going over everything beforehand and after to ensure I was happy. There were no surprises with the billing and let me just say I unpacked all of my most fragile items- not a single thing scratched or broken!
