The Yelp reviews closely mirror my experience. I initially spoke with Lloyd, who came to my home to assess the items. I pointed out several fragile pieces, and he assured me that his team would wrap them, including a jewelry stand, vases, and pictures. He provided a quote for $702.50, and we scheduled the move for August 14 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. At 10:24 a.m., I texted to ask for an updated arrival time and received a response of ten minutes. The movers arrived at 10:55 a.m. Once they began, the process appeared to be going smoothly. While they were packing the truck, I was transporting boxes in my car to the destination. After they completed the move and began unloading, I returned to my home and discovered that several items had been left behind. When I notified them, they stated they could not take the vases and pictures because they were not packed. I reminded them of my conversation with Lloyd, and I also pointed out a bench that had been left in the dining room. They then agreed to return for the remaining items. While unloading, I witnessed one mover attempt to place my dining table on a dolly without wrapping it. The table rolled off, and the leaf fell out. I took photos. When I addressed this with the lead mover, he suggested repairing it with wood glue, which was unacceptable. At the end of the job, I was charged $897.00 and informed that they accept only cash, Cash App, or Zelle, which prevents any credit card dispute. I contacted Lloyd regarding the damaged table, the items left behind, and the lack of proper wrapping. He stated he was not aware of the damage and later claimed he had fired the movers because they were using his business to start their own. When I inspected my storage unit, I found the items packed in an unsafe and poorly organized manner, with heavy items stacked on top of unstable pieces. My mattress and bedframe were placed at the front, and other items were at risk of tipping over. Lloyd agreed the unit was poorly packed and came with his daughter to help me get to some boxes that were stacked very high. also showed him the condition of my sofa and bedframe, which were only partially wrapped, resulting in dirt on the sofa. When I sent photos of the damage, Lloyd did not mention filing a claim. Instead, he offered to pay out of pocket but said he could not do so immediately due to family issues. After giving him thirty days, he sent $200 through Zelle and stated that no further reimbursement would be provided. Although Lloyd was polite, he consistently avoided accountability and offered multiple excuses. Based on my experience, I do not recommend AMEN Movers. The lack of care, inconsistency, and overall inconvenience outweighed any benefit of supporting a local business. Of course you see a one star because I had to but definitely Zero stars. I moved from Ballantyne, NC, to South Park, NC. They didn't complete the move until the next day. They had to return to the residence because they lost the hardware from one bed. Also, they left items without wrapping. The next day, when they came back, once they had installed it, one of the guys asked for pay, and my card was declined because of my change in the zip code. There were three workers here, and there was no supervisor. Ok. So, when my card was declined, I called my husband, and he tried to give them a credit card number over the phone. They could not take that, and they became hostile. The guy insisted that he wanted the card physically. So, they said my husband needed to come here and give them the card. He was at a job site and could not leave. So, the guy started yelling at me and threatened to take my stuff. He walked room by room, looking at what he could take. They were three guys against two women. I said to the guy to leave my house. He refused to leave because he wanted to take my stuff, so I ran to the door to stop him from taking my belongings. My cousin called my husband, crying and looking at the situation. The guy was trying to intimidate me, so I called the police, and he decided to leave, but I stopped him because he had taken my stuff and was waiting for the police. The guy was out of control. My husband talked to the owner, and he told him to leave. We paid the bill for the move on Saturday morning, which was over $5000. I feel now traumatized by the situation. I feel like I was assaulted in my own house. You know how much stress it is to move from one place to another and care about your belongings. That's because we hired a service that says it is " professional." That was a big mistake; they are not what they say. For this horrible experience, I never recommend this company. And, too be honest I was going with a two, but going to average my previous 5 star review hence the 3 stars. Scheduling went well, boxes were delivered for me to pack, but the day of the delivery is inexcusable. Three gentlemen showed up, one lead man, and when I walked him to my 1 bedroom apartment and showed them what I was moving, including the boxes "I" packed, not them, dining room table, couch, one chair, bed and dresser and a chair. Pretty simple. The lead laughed and said "I love when they give me two guys for a simple job". From there, they took their sweet time, almost 3 hours or more. Crazy! We continued to ask what was taking so long and nothing, in turn I reached out to the Owner, who somewhat listened, but was not in the apartment to know how long things were taking. Needless to say they were not too happy that I called the boss and things went downhill from there. When we arrived at my new home, they damaged walls, floor, broke a mirror and had slashed two of my boxes with a knife, all over. Not acceptable. And, they had the audacity to say the box was like that. Ah, no it wasn't because I packed the boxes. Hopefully I won't be moving anytime soon, but if so, it is time to find another company.

They would have charged me more - but since there was damage to my home they decided to forgo. However, they did not repair the damage THEY caused. In addition, the crew was estimate to have 2 trips. We needed 3. (My furniture was less than in the walkthrough with my estimator.) I still have items they did not bring over from the trips! I do not recommend this "moving" company. They do not know how to estimate (and if they are wrong they will add to the final bill - if they don't damage your home.)
