Public Storage has always had poor customer service, I rented from them once in Massachusetts and when I moved to Texas that was one storage company I avoided. This PS inherited my patronage, recently both elevators were out-of-service for a least 2 days. No one would answer the telephone, I chose to call continuously (redialed every 10 mins) to see if the elevators were working before driving back there. Unfortunately I had to drive up there to find 2 individuals working but not answering the telephone nor were they on a call, and both elevators were still out-of-service. Poor maintenance upkeep no urgency. I am a senior citizen with my unit on the 3rd floor and they told me the only option was to walk up three flight of stairs. They also took over and changed everyone's payment schedule. Most people rent based on the schedule that they secured a storage to lock in a specific date to incorporate into their monthly budget. When PS took over an email was sent to everyone advising everyone's rent would be on the 1st of the month schedule regardless of when you originally rented and they were unwilling to work with long time renters. The only thing positive about this location, is the location and the fact that it is newer than most storages in the area. I would not recommend renting any unit over the 1st floor. My overall opinion, I would not recommend this Public Storage or any Public Storage. Poor Customer Service is unacceptable!

I'm starting the process of packing up and moving. I had initially planned to purchase moving boxes…read moreat U-Haul but, after going to 5 different locations that were supposedly close to me - 2 were non-existent, 2 were closed and 1 was not identifiable as a U-Haul center (I saw someone walk out of an office and asked if this was a U-Haul shop I could buy boxes from...the guy literally said "what's it to you?"), I ended up stopping by Extra Space Storage. I was frustrated and tired, and near the end of my lunch break, when I went into the office. I didn't see any boxes and started to feel like I'd wasted my time. The woman working the front desk (my apologies, I can't remember her name) was extremely professional and kind and let me know they did have boxes available for purchase. She took the time to show me what was available and made it very easy for me to purchase the first few boxes I needed right away. The prices are tad bit higher than U-Haul, but considering the wild goose chase I went on it was worth the slight increase to be able to pick up what I needed quickly and effortlessly. Bonus - the property was extremely clean and well-maintained. If I needed a storage facility, I would have no issue renting a unit from this location.
