    We stored our stuff here for about 18 months, all of our belongings were destroyed by mold. The insurance company won't cover because it says there wasn't a "water event." What does Climate Controlled even mean? Doesn't apply to moisture? All of our stuff had to be thrown away. Even the things that didn't have visible mold, smelled so bad of mold that nothing could be salvaged.The facility won't take any responsibility, and I've been told by twitter that a District manager will call. They never call. Do not ruin your stuff at this place.

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. So when we contacted Lite Moving and Sons for a double inter-state move, we did so with a considerable amount of trepidation. Well, whatever hesitancy we had was soon allayed after Frank, Sr. arrived to give us a quote. Before long, we thought of him as "Uncle Frank". He not only explained what was involved with an inter-state move, his advice on what we could do to make our move less gut- crunching and how we could minimize its cost. His overall approach convinced us that we were in good hands. His discussion of how his family business evolved was so personable and sincere that it wasn't long before we felt we were dealing with family and any anxiety we felt before Frank arrived was entirely diminished. Frank developed his cost estimate by what turned out to be extremely accurate estimates of the weight of what was going to be moved. The price of an inter-state move is based on weight rather than elapsed hours, and Frank really nailed it. Complicating matters was that this was a double move in that our daughter was moving from her apartment was we were piggy-backing with half of our household. This involved two loads and unloads and keeping track of what belonged to whom. But with Frank and Lite, that was no problem and did not increase the cost at all. Moving day arrived and our anxiety returned. But that was until son Anthony, who actually runs now the business, arrived five minutes early with his crew of four and rang our doorbell. When we answered the door we were greeted by smiles, introductions and enthusiastic handshakes. As we pointed to the furniture and cartons that would be moved, their smiles grew larger and their enthusiasm increased. This was crazy and even crazier, we felt that this was going to be fun. Imagine, one of life's most stressful experiences was going to be fun. Well, the guys took over with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store. Mike inventoried every piece while the other guys professionally and carefully wrapped each piece. They treated our possessions with care and were enjoying what they were doing so much it made us feel comfortable and confident that we truly were in good hands. Anytime we tried to as much as lift a box to move it, we were instructed that was what they were there for and our job was to relax and tell them if there was anything special we'd like them to do. To take furniture apart and later reassemble it they carried a large array of tools. This included assembling complicated shelving and the removal and reinstallation of doors to make way for larger items. I guess what really amazed us was that their disposition never changed. No matter how hot it was and how stifling the humidity became, or how narrow doorways were, or how heavy certain pieces of furniture or cartons became as the move wore on, these difficulties only made them joke even more and utilize exceptional teamwork to overcome every challenge. Yes, this actually became fun. This was by no means an easy move, involving two households, two states and two days. Both before and during the move, the team was in constant contact with us, keeping us informed every step of the way. The incredible level of service provided by Anthony, Mike, Billy and the other guys made the move more than bearable. I hate to be trite by saying it was fun, but meeting and dealing with such professional, courteous and friendly people actually did provide enjoyment for us. We've dealt with companies known for their high level of customer service before. We've dealt with the Nordstroms, the Wegmans, the LL Beans of the world, but none of them was more focused on customer satisfaction than was Lite Moving and Sons. If you are planning a move and do not give Lite a call, you would be doing yourself a great disservice. And on top of that, you would be missing an opportunity to have met Frank, Sr.

They both provided so much information about inter state moving, how to properly box items, how they could help, insurance and more. 2) they were on time and professional. Every person on the job was friendly and very polite. They were full of smiles and good cheer at both ends of the job which was very stressful for me! 3) the estimate they provided actually came in UNDER the original price. I HIGHLY recommend this business. Lite Moving and Sons exudes professionalism and kindness. I couldn't have been happier with how everything went.

I had my date…read moreand time, I confirmed via email with Konstantin multiple times that my time frame was 8-9am, first thing in the morning. When moving from a building to a building the time is important because you need to schedule elevator time etc. The night before my move was when the misery began. At 7:30pm I get an email from Konstantin telling me the movers will arrive between 11-1pm. Expecting rain and now realizing I was not the first stop, I knew this was going to be a huge issue. We booked the morning time slot at the new building and had our whole day planned around being moved in by noon. I emailed Konstantin back and called right away. It says office hours are until 8pm but at 745pm no one was picking up. He never called me and 2 says later still hasn't after repeated requests. He emailed me back at 10pm saying he tried to rearrange the route but couldn't. Not asking me to change or of it would work or thinking about the impact on my move. I also forwarded him multiple emails as late as the day before (Monday) where he confirmed that the crew would be there first thing. NO SUCH LUCK. After asking Konstantin to call me again the morning of our move, I got emailed with lied about the crew being on their way at 9am which was not true and being told the driver would call at 10am and we didn't talk to him until 12:30 after hours of waiting and demanding a call. Our moving day was awful they showed up at 1:15pm. They moved us in and during loading, they dropped a laundry basket, which broke a mug and a scale. All 3 men denied it when asked. They made me wrote something positive on the receipt. In hindsight I realize doing this was not smart but they offered a small discount, after I bothered them about how unhappy in was, and they made it seem like in order to get it, I had to write something positive. When the cable guy arrived at 6pm, he tried to hook up my 50inch LED TV and what do you know, it was BROKEN. HUGE crack in the bottom and wouldn't turn on. The screen is black and it 100% done. I almost feel this was intentional due to the timing hostility. A crack that size doesn't happen without the person causing it knowing. They have been deceitful the up to and during the move. I have reached out to Konstantin right away. I am hoping he does the right thing and offers the customer service he should. I have asked to hear from him by 12pm. To be continued.

But my furniture was regarded as junk. Mattresses are all black and ripped underneath. And they were in perfect condition before the move. My total bill was 10k! I was totally disgusted in myself for all I packed. Everything was piled into one room in the condo! Not where I had written them. Right smack in the middle of the living and dining room. The manager kept calling wanting to know where and what these men were doing. My wi if was not set up yet to do her, manager bill on Zelle. That was an easy fix because I had it turned on by company but just had not gotten to set it up. So she was waiting to see payment on her end. I had things in their truck furniture that was too large to fit through door way. and was charged $99.00 a day! So $990.00 because they could not fit them in, the pieces were too big. So some were left in the truck for 10 days until I could clear the wall off from boxes that they were going to go right in that very spot. It cost me a chunk of money for using their truck as storage. It was such a mercy-less company! Greedy and cruel! And those big trucks just sit there on the lots dozens of them! Charged big money if you used their boxes. I was totally at their mercy and no way out! I still had things in their truck! It was the most stressful and expensive move, and I was only 5 towns away! I totally wised up the last pick up at my storage unit. Took my 2 pieces of furniture and 2 boxes and I grabbed my sewing machine. I left other things behind. If I get a chance I will empty the room out. That is only $100 a MONTH! But Tristate charging me $99.00 a day was ridiculous for 3 pieces of furniture in there! I wasn't holding a truck up, they have a whole fleet of them! The trucks are filthy inside. The whole thing was very very stressful! The manager also wanted a review. Well here it is. She didn't want them to leave without a review! Save your money people. Make sure you pack your own. I had to hurry on my end and only had one person helping me pack 2 times a week. It had to be a quick move. My seller wanted out of her condo. Then her attorney decided she needed a vacation so it upped my date even more. If there was anything that happened it happened and kept snow balling! No family help, they offered but didn't really want to do it. Never said we will be here such a such a day. Just offered and that was it. The whole thing was awful!

I have ordered from U-line in the past, but their shipping is outrageous, almost as much as the whole order. I did a little Google search and found suppliesformoving.com. At the time of the order, I had no idea they were in Brooklyn. The site is clean and all the information is readily accessible. One can guarantee that this website did not cost a lot of money, but it works. One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine. Now in 2026, I sought him out again and was happy to see his firm has grown significantly since my first experience six years ago. The pandemic years really did warp time! Even after all this time, Aron was quick to respond and connected me with Jacob. Jacob has been fast, communicative, and accommodating. I'm happy to report the firm remains just as committed to a superior moving experience. Jacob walked me through every scenario and potential challenge for our upcoming move and provided an excellent price. Moving in NYC is rarely stress-free, even with meticulous planning, but I'm feeling confident. The move is coming up soon--I will update this review then, but fingers crossed for another smooth experience! Update from move day (UES to UES) : we had to reschedule our original move date due to unforeseen circumstances. I reached out to Up and Go on the morning of the move and Luka got back to me at 6 AM. I was so relieved he gave me a new date and time (and charged me a reasonable reschedule fee) and the crew showed up on the new date and time and were exceptional. Shout out to sr. I hired them to move furniture from a storage unit in New Jersey to my apartment in Brooklyn. Before the movers started loading, I personally walked through the storage unit and pointed out everything that was supposed to be transported. Despite that, one of my largest items, a standing mirror, was left behind. What made the situation even worse was the conflicting information I received. When I asked where my mirror was, I was initially told it was in the building lobby. Later, I was told it had never been transported because it wasn't on the inventory. Those explanations contradict each other, and no one took responsibility. The move also resulted in damage to my carpet and trash can. Several of my moving boxes were crushed, and my sofa was wrapped so poorly that the protective wrap had already come apart during transport. Instead of addressing these concerns, the company responded with excuses and attempted to shift responsibility. Another thing that stood out was that payment was required before the move was fully completed. Looking back, I understand why. Once they had been paid, there seemed to be very little interest in resolving the problems. If something goes wrong during your move, don't expect accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and would never use them again.
