I think there was some hesitation and they had to make some phone calls since it was more house than they expected, but they took care of everything. I think it was a lady, who's been there for years and a younger gentleman who packed everything. The people who came after them the next day and packed were efficient but after they had left, I noticed they missed a few things. They actually drove back using their personal vehicle, close to an hour, and picked up the items they missed. When we got to our destination overseas, only 1 or 2 things were probably damaged and this is probably how it was packed in the wooden crate. Like a wooden chair and a gash in a table. Yet, we were re-reimbursed by a different company and I'm not 100% sure they even handled the crating process. We were also missing our parts box. But I heard that happens with overseas moves, so we'll know for next time, to carry that on us. But, nothing high dollar value such as electronics or jewelry or purses was missing, damaged or lost. And that's all I really care about for a 7,000 mile move...

I had a recent move from Downtown KC to Overland Park and BushaBox saved so much time, hassle and…read moreplanning in the overall process. Moving is stressful as everyone knows and having boxes that you can plan ahead, expect a date for delivery and pick up with no hitches is exactly what I never knew I needed. James was more than willing to work with my busy 9-5 on site work schedule and find a time that I would be home and deliver the crates. Instead of just dropping the crates off at the front door/lobby, he wheeled all the crates up to my apartment and made sure everything was set. The crates I got are a standard commercial plastic crate with a scissor type hing that locks shut. If you need extra security, the crates can be zip tied on both sided with ties included in the overall package. Each crate holds a good number of items; for a 1BR 1Bath move I used roughly 22. For my move I hired movers to load the truck, drive and unload the truck. They mentioned using these tended to help out and make moving easier for them. The crates easily stack and 3-4 can easily be carried on a Dolly compared to boxes I have used in the past. Each crate has a whiteboard type sticker on the side which made labeling contents/room seamless. Overall, I cannot say any bad things about my experience with the order, drop off, move and pick up. I had a family member out of state that had used something similar last year and after using BushaBox, I don't know if I can go back to cardboard. At the end of the day, no trash left over, I had to return the crates so all my boxes are unpacked and I am supporting a local KC business.

Recently Starving Artists handled my move. I was moving my personal items out of a house and into a…read morestorage unit for short term storage. My bed frames, TV, and electric fireplace were all DESTROYED. I was already under an incredible amount of stress, and now we're sleeping with our mattresses on the floor and we had to replace our TV. The TV was discovered when we were moving my property out of the storage unit, to my new home. It had been leaned against the wall, but the screen had OBVIOUSLY taken an impact- So the employee who did it was obviously trying to hide it. I'll never be working with them again.

When there was a pop up shower, they did nothing to protect the furniture. When wrapping the white silk sofa, they dropped the cushions on the muddy floor. They chipped the marble on the coffee table and a concrete outdoor pedestal. They even broke a concrete urn. The movers toward the end were rude and dismissive. When I called the owner to ask how I would be compensated for the items that were damaged or destroyed he agreed to repair 3 items and gave me $50.00 for the urn. He did not repair the 3 items. WARNING: Unless you want your furniture destroyed, DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!
