I understand getting a late fee that I understand but to throw my stuff in the auction and charge me $120 when my storage rent for the month is $120 is ridiculous after 30 days of being late and being a customer there for three years this is what they do to me not only charge me $20 late fee but put my stuff up for auction over $120 plus it's gonna cost me $120 to get it out of their little auction. So basically I'm getting charged $140 for being late on $120 is that make any sense to anybody I hope their business fails big-time bankruptcy gone under fail when I spoke to someone on the phone two days ago they should've told me that price was going to be $140 more on Monday not after Monday because when I spoke to someone they said I had two days to pay it and then the price will go up that was on Saturday I would've paid the damn thing Sunday if someone would've told me the right way or the right time that it was going up poor communication skills big time read more

I would never recommend this business. I received a phone call one day stating that my lock was not on my storage. When my son arrived, he was told that they reviewed video and that someone had unlocked my storage, looked confused and then closed it. What's interesting was that I realized a $500 check was written fraudulently and my checks were in my storage. After emptying the full contents of my storage, so much stuff was missing. All my winter clothes and the majority of my shoes were missing, my bedroom area rug, art supplies, cake decorating supplies, and much more. But those things are the most expensive to replace. It would appear to be staff had something to do with it, otherwise why would they say someone opened the lock with their key and then closed it. I call BS. I have made a report to the Sheriff's department. read more

Damion was awesome!! Very professional and courteous from the moment I stepped inside the office to rent a storage. I had rented a storage space thinking I would need it for things I was planning on bringing from my mother's apartment in Hollywood after her recent passing but ended up getting rid of a lot of things and the stuff I did hold on to I had space in my garage at home to store. I called the customer service # to cancel and get a refund, they were helpful letting me know that it wouldn't be a problem since I had not moved any stuff in but said I had to remove the lock first then they would prorate. I went down to remove the lock and spoke with Damion about my situation and talked to him about how my mother passed away 2 days after Christmas and I could use the money to help cover the funeral expenses. He was very sympathetic and felt my pain of losing my mother over the holidays that he decided to give me a full refund. Damion exceeded my expectations! If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Goes to show there is still good hearted people out there. God bless you. read more

The worse customer service I've ever experienced. It's sad really. All because I called them out on their lease agreement. It says the arbitration clause is optional on their website. See the attached pic. They also say the unit is $172 a month. After all their fees it came out to $230. They have a banner that says one month free.....guess again that's a scam as well. If you get the free month they say the rental fee goes up an extra $55 a month. Just lie after lie. They still haven't refunded me since I didn't agree with their lease agreement but I'm glad I paid with my discover card. They're great for scam places like this. read more

Completely unprofessional. The worst customer service from the 800 number to the office manager. Don't you dare get upset about a $70 rate increase within the first 3 months and then question it. I got refused to make a payment with no notification and asked when I will have my stuff out. Then locked out because of not paying and not one person cared. And apparently I don't have a right to be upset that they have my stuff when I tried to pay it before it was due and REFUSED payment. I requested a district manager to call me twice with no response. read more

Be careful when u purchase an auction unit if you don't pick up your deposit in 48hrs they keep it even if you turn in your unit clean they don't call u to let u know your deposit has not been picked up they just keep it. The worker named José is a pretty crappy worker was rude and just said well a went to default and a was deposit to the xtra space account what guarantees me they didn't pocket the money. So I am moving out of my storage and with covid and all the gates shut a 10pm I am there at 4pm and I leave my car Inside by my unit. I take a large set of tools in.a friends truck and I do not make it back before 10pm so I figure I will just get my car in the morning. At mid night they call me and say we are with the sheriffs dept and you need to come get your car I said ok. Takes an hour to get there when I arrive I find my car on a tow truck leaving the facility. What the hell why did you call if you were going to town it anyway a hole. Anyway being a civil servant I get the tow truck driver to tell me he splits all cash tows with this shady low life employee so I show him my badge I get my car off the rig and now I have the criminals get down so stay away from this shady establishment they raise the space rent about bi monthly so not a good place. read more

Use Extra Space storage at your own risk! Our storage unit, along with others, was broken into well over a year ago, and we lost approximately $2000. Despite having insurance through Extra Space storage for the storage unit, filing a police report, calling the local office, the national operations center, and even requesting assistance through the Extra Space storage Facebook page, all requests for assistance in resolving this matter have been ignored!!!! Over a year after the crime, and we still have not received any insurance money! If I could give negative 5 stars as a rating, I would! read more

Security at this facility could not be worse. They my as well leave the gate open. They have cameras, however they are too cheap to spend the money to have additional cameras half way down the row, so unless you have a unit not to far from one youre screwed. Secondly they have multiple cameras that are aimed at the sky, what good it that???? Thirdly, what is the point of having an extra space green label on your lock when a thief cuts your lock off and puts on his own with no sticker and the break in is still not discovered???? Fourth, this facility is pretty busy and yet no one ever sees anything and is unable to catch any breakins on camera???? Sounds Fishy I have had storage all over town and this is by far the worse facility. I am pretty sure that its an inside job. There are just to many break ins and nobody knows whats going on and nobody does anything about it. Nobody seems to care that its going on at all. In all fairness there is one girl named Crystal who works in the office that is the only one who knows anything and is willing to help. Extra Space is HQ in Utah, they need to break loose with some of that money and buy some cameras and more lighting or alarm the units themselves. As of now youve lost business forever. read more

This place is the best. I've had my storage unit here for a few years now. It's rarely crowded. It's always clean and easy to drive through. Very accessible & noticeable off the street. It's a huge facility. Staff keep to themselves unless needed. Prices are okay. read more

My last trip to this storage. Relocating my storage back to SD. More costly, much more convenient. Staff here are like the coolest, I guess they actually share and design your experience. Clearly 5 stars for there customer service. Krystal and Jessica have bn with me the entire experience.
