Made an offer and the offer was approved, and address was given, when I showed up, I was told they did not mean to approve my offer and they did not honor the amount that I was told I could pay. I wasted my gas driving 40 minutes in traffic just to be told they made a mistake and weren't going to honor the amount. They are knowlegeable, professional and care about you and your belongings. They always assist with wrapping fragile items such as mirrors and large pictures and items that need extra care. Moses is honest and engages you at the beginning of the move to walk through the paperwork, process and qutoed costs and expenses. He came out himself covered the dent, painted my wall, painted other scratches that were not even made by him or his employees and fixed the drawers to my bedroom set! Moses, Marcos, and Marcos were nice, hard working, and most of all, VERY helpful. They went above and beyond just being typical movers. They were very fast, but considerate of all of our property. They carefully wrapped and packed everything and asked questions as needed. They never once took a long break, they just kept on moving. My wife and I were unsure of where some furniture should go in the new house and they provided helpful suggestions and moved items around as we requested without hesitation or frustration. They carefully disassembled and assembled everything we asked and then some! They accidentally stretch wrapped my daughters small desk too tight and broke the particle board on the side of it. The owner Moses apoligized and quickly agreed to replace it. He already ordered the new desk during the move and is going to assemble AND deliver it to our home next week! Once we get all settled into the new house, I'll be hiring them again to move all of our extra belongings that don't fit in the house to a storage unit. Wow, is all I can say. I have moved 4 times in the last year and haven't had good luck no matter how hard I searched until I met Moses with So Cal. Originally he was going to pick up boxes and move them to storage and because he was listening intently in conversations realized that I could benefit from his Fed EX Shipping rather than storing boxes. He also offered a service of coming to pick up six large boxes and delivery of the boxes and some of them over 100 pounds which I would not of been able to move otherwise He was just awesome and went way above and beyond the call of duty.. stayed in constant communication email text messaging and even stayed open late to make sure my boxers were shipped in time. This is what I call real customer service and he offers local moving throughout California as well as long-distance shipping of boxes with a FedEx service. Horrible experience with this company! The movers were great and worked hard BUT!! When we made the reservation with the owner MOSES! He was told we were moving a 3 bedroom into a storage and then the movers showed up they had a trailer connected to a pickup truck! Immediately the concern was expressed about how much stuff we had not fitting into that trailer. YET! The movers packed the trailer. So after the first load was loaded and they were getting ready to take the first load their pickup truck battery died and we had to give them a jump (time wasted) THEN! When they drove off the driveway we noticed how extremely heavy the trailer was and expressed maybe we should take some stuff off, they said no it would be fine. Boom! The trailer broke down on the way to the storage (time wasted) then they had to transfer the things from the trailer to a moving truck (which we Should've had in the first place. MORE TIME WASTED!!!!) long story short it took 3 trips that could've been avoided THEN ON TOP OF THAT on the last trip the storage CLOSED so we couldn't even get all our stuff in, in one day NOT OUR FAULT!!!! And the owner had the nerve to charge us OVER $600 with all of those inconveniences and said he will not deliver our stuff the next day until we pay the full OVER CHARGED AMOUNT!! you would think MOSES would've looked out for us better than that. The storage was less then 15 minutes away from the house i could see if they moved us into a house or maybe even moved us to another city BUT TO A STORAGE, with all YOUR COMPANY's inconveniences he should have discounted us way more than that. I would never refer anyone to this company!! Rip off for sure! We did like the movers but Moses should have been way more helpful as a owner you should never leave your customers feeling like they have been cheated out of service and wasted money. read more

Moses explained to me that should there be any damages that they would only cover $.40 to the dollar unless I bought extra insurance coverage! I chose to not purchase extra insurance since I assumed they would not have any problems. That was a big mistake. Most every thing I owned was broken, damaged, or just missing. All furniture was put in garage, since they were later than they expected. I paid someone else to bring in my belongings. They were nice enough to take my Stuff to the dump, without extra charges.moses said he would reimburse me for my desk. He said he ordered it and kept getting dressers and the wrong furniture. I went and bought a computer desk. Moses said he would send check. Every one knows that one Checks in the mail, I posted before and yelp removed it due to his request. So I don't think yelp is very honest. I still have photos of the damaged furniture for over a year ago, I would be glad to share. If you choose to use this company, Good Luck. read more

So cal moved us approx. 3 weeks ago from Beaumont and to another location in Beaumont and they were very prompt & professional. Garret explained to me that should there be any damages that they would only cover $.40 to the dollar unless I bought extra insurance coverage! I chose to not purchase extra insurance since I assumed they were professionals. Well my 6 mos. new refrigerator got 4 big dents & when they wrapped the refrigerator u can see where the tape wrap left its marks. Also a newly painted wall was badly tinged! I made Garrett aware of these damages & he said they were sorry, however, not responsible because "I did not purchase the extra insurance!" Shouldn't these companies carry at least a minimum of $100k liability insurance?? So the moral of this story is yes I did choose to not purchase extra insurance, but they should have at least paid for the repair of the tinged wall!! read more

We had to make last minute plans on Saturday to leave Hemet, California and they were there by 6am on a Sunday! Time was of the essence. I recently moved from Arkansas back to Riverside and needed a crew to unload my moving container into my new apartment. I found Moses' company on Craigslist and he was the most professional and easy to work with company out of all the quotes I got. My moving day ended up being a nightmare because of ABF U-Pack (there will be a review coming for them don't worry) but Donny and Garrett from So Cal Packing & Moving absolutely saved the day. They ended up waiting on-call for my container to show up for over 5 hours because ABF totally screwed up my delivery. BUT. These guys were super cool, flexible, patient, and funny. Once the damn delivery truck finally showed up, they had the entire container unpacked and my couch and bed assembled in just over an hour. I gladly paid the 2 hour minimum, and I think their prices are way more than fair for the quality of the crew both personally and professionally. They were very careful with my super heavy antique furniture as well as my crappy IKEA grade furniture. I don't plan on moving again at all the in foreseeable future, but if I do, I will absolutely use So Cal Packing & Moving and I will recommend them to all of my friends. Highly, highly recommend.
