The location is well-secured, and I was glad to see they use a 7 digit passcode, not a 4 digit one, which is much less secure. The units were sturdy and clean. Their billing was very clear and transparent, and they offered an easy auto-pay option. Their location is right off highway 599 (you can see it from the highway), which is very convenient. The manager, Jimmie, is incredibly helpful and friendly. He responded promptly to email inquiries, and we met him in person when we were cleaning out our unit. We brought us ice-cold water on a hot day, and also offered to help us move some of the larger items. I cannot recommend them highly enough, it's a very friendly, well-run local business.

Then, Samantha at 900 San Mateo went so out of her way to help me cancel my rental at her location and get me what I needed at the Rodeo Road location. There, Dee also went out of her way (and calmed me down, as this whole thing has been so whacky) to help me, explain how things worked, took me directly to the locker, and like Samantha and the gentleman at the first location, was kindness and helpfulness personified. The lock we used was one purchased from Extra Storage on San Mateo and the thieves were able to unlock it somehow. Since their cameras didn't catch anything and it's been some time since we were at the space our renter's insurance through Progressive is denying our claim since it MIGHT have happened before our coverage was started. A storage space that doesn't secure it's premises and and insurance company that doesn't cover losses.

They are Santa Fe's only certified wine storage facility for the private sector. Climate controlled units are inside, with several locker sizes to chose from. They also sell wine racks and locks and have dollys for moving your merch into its new home. There is a room which looks like it is being set up for wine tastings perhaps. This place is just what Santa Fe needed. The main selling point though was Jordan, who went out of his way to go over everything they had to offer, and did so with a smile and patience as my dad asked innumerable questions. Hey, if you're a wine connoisseur you are passionate about your bottles, and it was great that the gentlemen there understood this and was just as enthusiastic to help answer all of his questions and concerns.

Leaving you with several blocks of units to choose from. Greg Solano is the property manager, and a right helpful guy, who assisted us in getting moved from one unit into a bigger one as our needs grew. He was also very helpful in deciphering the unit numbers and locations code. Each unit number assigned is four digits, but only the last two are on the actual locker, and the first two designate the block the unit is on in order of the facility being purchased. Yeah, I know. Super confusing. When renting a unit just ask him to point you to the specific block you need to be on. The facility isn't new, and the surrounding fences could use some work, but the prices are right and the location is convenient if you are in North Santa Fe.

We rented a large storage space for 6 months for close to $300/month which we knew was on the high side, but we felt the convenient location and friendly staff was worth it. We signed up for the automatic billing option, which charged our card on the 18th of each month. Yesterday, on Sunday the 24th, we vacated the storage space, so I called Robert today to let him know, and asked him to give us a prorated refund for the 24 days left in the month we wouldn't be using, and which they could rent out immediately. He flat out refused, claiming that the contract we signed stated we would not get a refund for moving out early if we prepaid for the month using the automatic payment option. He said if we had notified them prior to the 18th, we could have just paid for the 7 days we used, but not now after we had paid the full amount for the month. Although, he claims he explained this to me when we signed the agreement, I specifically remember otherwise. I think it's absolutely outrageous for Extra Space to take our money for services they are not providing, and extremely short-sighted. We would have done business with them again, and highly recommended them. I told Robert this, but he just toed the company line. Not a snowball's chance of that now. read more

The manager Alex helped us get settled and showed us the easiest path to my friends unit which made the move in process SOOOO much easier.
