Place so far has been ok. The main problem was that we needed an additional unit. After being there for three months, we were happy with the location. Our remodel is taking some delays so we needed an additional storage space. They told me that a second unit would cost $100 more dollars per month than what we are paying currently. We were not looking for a deal, or felt entitled to one. However, paying 40% more just sounded insane. Both were roughly the same size. There are plenty of storage places in Santee, so we just went to another one. Losing additional revenue from a current customer sounds like bad business practices. I started rent on a 10x15 unit the end of December 2022. Rent was $223. They have raised my rent twice in less than a year and rent is now $396.20. Moving items from one location to another is so difficult and they know it. I've had a storage space there sense 2006,never had any problems.Stopped by to get a few item's on 9-29. Had a problem with my lock,key wouldn't turn.Got a hold of Zach the manager, he helped me out with the lock.The place has changed hand's,they sent out a notice about a rent increase some month's back.It was a large increase.I talked to him about it,i told him i wasn't happy about the large increase.He told me he would talk to his boss about it,i got an e mail back about 2 hour's latter telling me about a nice decrease, it would get starting this month.Zach went above and beyond,nowday's it's hard to get customer service like that anymore.Thank's again Zach. Bait and switch. Gave us a deal and after 3 months they raised the price 60%. Looking for a new spot.

I tried to revise my original review from a year ago but couldn't figure it out so I decided to write a new one. My original review was outstanding but my experience drastically changed about six weeks after moving my stuff in. They raised my rate 20%! They know once you move your stuff in you're not going to move it out again so quickly. Now a year later they raised it again, and not just a little bit. In one years time I'm paying over $100 more than when I moved my stuff in. I guess they figure they can price gouge a single woman because we don't have the means to just haul everything out again. If you decide to go with extra space storage I suggest locking in a rate for a certain amount of time or they will do it to you too. read more

This place is under new management and the manager is very rude and this whole time was the worst experience I have ever had with any storage facility. He told me I only could be here 30 min with a huge truck full of things to move in and he told me that he could not do anything so I had to leave with half of my things and come back the next day. If you want to rent at extra space go to the one on east main st in El cajon tony is the absolute best manager I've ever had at a facility. The one here just got the management position and he has a total power trip so with that said untill they change the management here I would look else where.
