Brittany at Santee, CA location was awful to deal with. I simply asked for a unit that was secure. The unit assigned to me was 5622 and had 2 walls that didn't fully meet, so anyone could reach in or pests could enter or belongings could be easily damaged, etc. Instead of just offering another unit B decided I wasn't a good fit (lol) and said she'd give me a refund. She complained of being hungry more than once and that she was heading into a corporate meeting while also claiming she was corporate. Laughable. I signed with another facility a mile away and am now paying less than half for same size unit than what I was set to pay at Price. No do not rent from here, if there's an issue, B will be offended and argue instead of finding easy resolution. Very poor service. read more

Legit Issues were - rent prices constantly going up so by the end I was paying $230 a month! - someone tried to break into my unit & they didn't try to even give me a discount or anything just changed the door thing & I kept my shitty scratched up lock - they only have cameras outside not inside so they didn't know who tried to break into my unit - their auto pay never ever works! You go in person & give them your card & next month it doesn't work. You go online to put in your same card & it doesn't work... they wait until you're going to get charged a late fee to call & tell you about it so then you're paying a late fee... - they have a dumpster but charge you $25 to use it - I had to pull a "Karen" to get my rent prorated when I left because they didn't take down my verbal 2 week notice & were about to charge me full month rent plus a late fee bc of course auto pay didn't work. Seriously there's other storage units in Santee that are cheaper & have better security. Response to Bob: Annie the manager called the regional manager when I was in the office when I went to complain about the attempted break in. The unit looked as though it wasn't broken in to because they replaced the latch that the key goes in because it was nearly ripped off with my key also being damaged by them trying to break in. The regional manager said they would call me on a specific date not meet me in person because I do not live in California & specified that. They did not call me on that day. I called a week later & spoke with Annie & asked if I was going to get a discount or something & she said no. Your "security" is not that great because every time I've been there at least 1 alarm goes off & is turned off right away by the staff. There's also no cameras where the indoor units are so how would they know if the wrong person was entering the unit if the alarm does go off? So your "security" is extremely lacking! I have one unit that doubled in price in one year. That monthly rate keeps fluctuating month-to-month. I never know what I will be charged. Price Self Storage in Santee was a breeze to contact, get set up and get moved into my large drive-up unit. The folks there are friendly and helpful while also being professional. Our unit had a spill from the unit next door (it leaked over) and the staff on duty made sure to clean it before we moved in. We just closed out our unit (it was always supposed to be very temporary; we stayed a couple months longer than anticipated because I wasn't on top of it) and even though we have COVID lockdown it was a smooth move-out. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they raised my rent fairly considerably after only 3 months of renting. It was already a spendy unit! The largest and easiest to drive up to. Overall, I'd for sure recommend these guys, but discuss rent increases before moving in. read more

If your fees are late they tack on a $25 late fee and add on a second fee also. I was late and was charged a $50 late fee. Then if your fees are month late you have to pay two months fees and system won't let you pay just one month, you have to pay two months. What a racket. The restrooms are spic N span and store in the office has all the basic storage/shipping necessities in stock. It is well lit at night with tons of cameras providing a true sense of security for you and your belongings. On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable. I could go on..... Thought this place was going to be a good fit for my storage needs. Turns out I was wrong. First they did not give me the first month free as stated on their big sign in front of their building. Apparently if you get the last unit in that size it is considered high demand and therefore not entitled to the discount as stated in the very fine print. Then they don't trust you with their moving carts as they think you might steal them so you have to leave your driver's license with them in order to borrow an essential moving cart. On the 2nd week I arrived at 6:20 (they close at 7:00) with a truckload of stuff to unload in my storage unit. I went to the office to check out a cart but was told that I could not get a cart because the attendant was leaving at 6:30 and therefore would not be available to give me my license back. I pleaded but to no avail. I had to hand carry all my stuff due to her inflexibility. Apparently they just dont care there as they already have your money. The next day I packed and got out of there and of course they would not give any refund. I dont need this type of aggravation and their prices aren't even cheap. This place is the worst! read more

This is (still) one of the newer and cleaner storage facilities in town - and is often cheaper than many other places. They usually have some kind of move-in special and free use of a truck (for 4 hours). The facility is located in a quiet residential area, is near places to eat, and is very easy to get to from anywhere in Santee. I have chosen to store things here several times - even when there were other facilities closer to where I lived - and would be open to doing so again (depending upon their current prices, what they have available, and how far the drive is from wherever I'm coming from). read more

Not a good deal. We've had our rent raised several times so it is 50% more than when we moved in a year ago. The facility is clean and well-cared for. Staff are nice, but it feels like trickery. Once you've moved in and it is difficult to move, they take advantage of your situation. The monthly cost is now $30-$50 above other advertised rates. read more

I got a good deal on my storage, as well as a FREE (no strings attached) truck to move my stuff. Someone drives the truck to you, you load it, and they drive it straight to your storage spot. Not sure if this was a one-time deal or not, but it was a huge life-saver for me! THe manager is extremely friendly, as is Claudia, the young woman also at the front desk. (I"d actually called the wrong location but ended up using the Santee Price Storage on her friendliness and helpfulness, alone. You sold me, Claudia.) The place is extremely secure-- manager lives onsite-- full camera coverage, and the place is immaculate. IMMACULATE. Accessible, clean bathrooms are available when you're spending more time than you'd care to at your storage space. I recommend this company and this location highly. read more

Customer service is great. They are always very prompt and attentive. The units are clean. But be careful of the pricing that is advertised. They have the right to raise the monthly rent on 15 days' notice. I have had my rent raised twice now in slightly more than six months. And they require you to come into their office to personally sign a notice to terminate your contract. Terrible customer service, today on 7/9/2015 we move our furniture into one of the storage units, I and my wife had to hire movers to bring the furniture to the storage as I am disable from neck and back problems and is having surgical procedures therefore I cannot do any physical work . We used Two Men Will Move You it was priced well and they did a great job, the moving contract gave us 3 hours to move from the house to the storage unit which was only 7 miles away they got to our house by 930 am and loaded and got the storage facility by 1133 am plenty of time to unload by the allotted time on the contract but we encounter a problem when we had arrived the lock on the unit was faulty and would not unlocked it took the manager 30 minutes to try and get the lock off, this led to the mover s going over by 15 minutes which still is charge a whole hour of 56 dollars. We did not put the lock on the unit it was the manager who had done so when we had went on the 29 of July to acquire the storage unit, she offer to put the lock on for us but when I went into the office to inform her of the extra cost for the movers, she try to say that we asked her to put the lock on trying to put the liability on us. I told her that the storage facility was responsible and that they should have to pay for the extra cost or credit for the storage rent , instead I was told that I was lucky not be charge for taking the lock off she called the regional manager who first decline to refund or credit. So I told her that I would take them to small claims court, she called the regional manager again and told what I had said he offer to only pay 30 dollars I stood my ground with him when he talked to me on the phone I refused and demanded the whole amount he said that he would reimburse the 56 dollars and then said that maybe the facility wasn't right for me and I have to find another storage facility. If I hadn't had to argue for 25 minutes I would have accepted the 30 dollars even though they were clearly at fault I had planned on using the storage unit for 6 months at 150 a month that 900 I would have paid if they would have just credit me on the rent they would still have made 844 dollars. This is stupid business when I first got the unit I thought it was a great facility and told my Sister about it who needs a storage unit and my Sister in law and few more people, because they will offer a truck and driver for no extra cost needless to say none of them will be using Price Self Storage of Santee. After being told by the reigonal manager that we needed to find a different place and telling the manager on this site i would be out giving 15 days notice they tried charging to my account 14.40 which was not authorized by my wife or I for any automatic payments, we had to call the bank which put a stop payment yet when we went in to retrive the lock the person at the front desk did not say a word about the charge of 14.40 which they claimed is for uncolleted storage rent, very sneaky way to run a bussiness! They make you buy a lock which is 15 dollars then after you move out your stuck with a worthless lock, what a scam it should be included in your storage rent with as much as they charge and they still never credited the 56 dollars as they said they would do, then even after being to move out and they had 15 days noticed they tried to still charge very bad customer serivce. read more

It's really ridiculous, one would think they would want to be providing for customers who have stayed there a long time, but they'd rather drive them to competitors. No issues upon initial move in, except being told the move in special was not available due to the unit I was renting. Why advertise something if you don't honor it. The only reason I moved in was because I left for military training very shortly after and I didn't have time. I never expect special treatment but even with giving them this information I was still charged full price, while others received a first month free. Fast forward to now, I return from military training and I receive a call saying my card was denied, I explain this is because my credit card company had to issue me a new card due to a security breach. The lady told me it would be okay if I come in the next week to pay the balance and there would be NO-ZERO ill effects if paid by Tuesday. I come in on Monday, day earlier and move out because I was moving into and a new place. I moved out 31 October. I was told I will still have to pay for a full month, even though I am moved out of the unit, even after an employee specifically told me there would be NO-ZERO ill effects. I was told I will not receive a refund because I was past due, even after I was told I could wait to pay due to being out of town for military duty. There are many other storage options in the area who will honor what they advertise and won't charge you for a unit you've moved out of. Do not use price self storage in Santee. read more

This place is extremely clean and well cared for. Being a single female, it felt very safe and the employees at the office are very helpful. My storage unit was on the top floor and it never got too hot or cold. No dust either. They always had a cart available to use. There is an easy access bathroom that is always clean and well stocked so you can wash up. It's also located on a very quiet street so not much traffic to worry about when entering and exiting. One time a hallway light burned out so I reported it and the next day it was replaced! If you rent from them, they send a truck and driver to you, but you have to load and unload the truck yourself. I got a phone call from them one day because an acquaintance of mine mentioned my name when he rented a unit there. They actually called me and sent me a $50 check for referring someone to them!!
