What I sent weighed at 6lbs, however, per "dimensional weight" I was charged at 24lbs, which is 4x the weight. Per the store owner, the dimensions of the box also goes into account of what is being sent, which doesn't make any sense because my partner sent something with larger dimensions on his box and the item weigh more than what I've sent, and he was not charged nearly as much as I was. Either way, her response was "nice nasty". I asked would it have been cheaper to have the store package it rather than us package it, in which she responded that it would have been. I said well I wish I knew that rather than being charged four times per dimensional weight. She responds "well we couldn't help with that because it's not like we know what's in the box," but you would know what was in the box if you asked me specifically what was in there in order to inform me that there's an extra charge to insurance the item that has a value past $100 should be lost or stolen, and that I was asked by the store rep what was in the box specifically as it is on my receipt. I just believe that if something was weighed at 6 pounds and the computer is giving a dimensional weight four times the weight of what's in the package that that would have been something that would've been brought up. So now, before insurance, I'm being charged $63 to ship a 6lb item. I advise if you are going to get an item shipped from this store: That you may look into them actually packaging it so you're not charged four times more than the actual weight due to "dimensional weight" That you look into pricing when it comes to sending something store to store because apparently you're supposed to know that "each store is different and you should not randomly send things without looking into it" per the store owner(as I said "nice nasty").

My experience with Keep It Moving couldn't have been worse. What should have been a simple…read morestorage-to-storage move turned into a weeks-long nightmare. I initially hired them to move my belongings from my house into a storage unit, and that move went well. Because of that, I hired them again to move everything to another storage facility closer to my home. That's when the problems started. Their office quoted the move at 4 hours and 45 minutes, and I approved the estimate a week in advance. The day before the move, they canceled and rescheduled. On moving day, I was told the crew would arrive between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Around 4:15, one of the movers called to say they had just arrived and claimed the office hadn't allowed enough time to complete the move. I was told I had to approve additional charges or they would "get what they could" and leave the rest behind. I refused to pay more for their mistake but understood some items might remain. What I did **not** expect was for them to work only about 90 minutes before marking the move "complete" and leaving--despite being contracted for nearly five hours. They ignored my calls for the rest of the evening. I ended up at the storage unit until after midnight with my 5-year-old, trying to figure out how to deal with everything they left behind before my lease expired the next day. Their failure to complete the move forced me to pay for an extra month on two storage units. After more than a week of back-and-forth, the company finally admitted they had failed to honor their own estimate and agreed to finish the job. Unfortunately, the second move wasn't any better. Once again, they missed their 2:00-4:00 p.m. arrival window and didn't show up until around 8:00 p.m. When they finally arrived, I was again told I would need to approve additional charges if I wanted them to actually finish emptying the storage unit. To make matters worse, several of my belongings were damaged during the move, the crew handled my property carelessly, and the office staff responded to my complaints by threatening legal action if I posted an honest review. Based on my experience, their estimates appear to be intentionally low to pressure customers into paying additional charges on moving day. If you refuse, don't expect them to complete the job they were hired to do. I cannot recommend this company. Save yourself the stress and hire a mover that honors its estimates, communicates honestly, and stands behind its work.

Next Nest has helped me start a new tradition of hiring movers. Justin, assisted me from beginning to end. He was able to ask all of the right questions and get me a quote. He even examined the locations to give me the game plan on what needs to be done. Justin sent invoices, responded quickly, and was very down to earth. The cost of moving is much less than people think. It felt good to do my part and the leg work be handled by someone else. I recommend hiring movers and NEXT NEST to everyone who is moving. The money spent it worth it, once you think of all the time saved. Justin and his team moved all of my items with efficiency and care. It even started raining during the process and they made sure very item stayed dry. Justin is so helpful he even assisted a neighbor who needed their doorbell installed. Overall, this is one of the best customer service experiences, especially for the New Orleans area! I recommend them to any and everyone!

I…read morework in customer service, and I know from my own personal experience that sometimes things happen and things can run late, but it's really about the recovery that you do for your customers when things go wrong, and ABBA went above and beyond for me and my husband. We had scheduled an 8 AM move, but issues with their truck caused them to run several hours late. But they kept in touch with us the whole time and communicated updates very well. And when they arrived to perform our move, they even brought extra guys to help and only charged us for the original two that they had quoted us in our quote. The team was so nice and so efficient. We moved from a bottom floor quadplex shotgun in Mid City to a 14th floor high-rise in the CBD, and we are having trouble with our key fob not working correctly, and the team was so patient as we dealt with that. They were fast, friendly, and efficient and transparent with the price, and the final price was on the low side of the range they gave us in the original quote. I would recommend this Company to anyone due to their transparency and pricing, great communication, and efficient friendly team.

I was told everything was good to go. Then on June 4, I got a text saying they needed to cancel our June 6 move and asked if we could move on June 7 instead. After much back and forth, I agreed because we were on a tight timeline and needed to move. June 7 came and went, and no one showed up. No call, no text, no email...nothing!! I had to reach out myself to find out what was going on. Even then, nobody ever arrived. I called both phone numbers listed online multiple times and never got an answer. Eventually, I received a text telling me to contact someone named Daniel. I texted him and called three times, but never got a response. Then I got a random email saying the truck broke down and they'd follow up with an ETA... 1 hr went by... complete silence. At that point, we were essentially ghosted. No apology, no explanation, and no effort to help us find a solution after leaving us without movers on the day of our move. Moving is stressful enough without having to wonder if your moving company is actually going to show up. Unfortunately, that was our experience. Based on how this was handled, I wouldn't recommend them if you need a company you can count on.

I should add that they may also go by "Fast Affordable College movers" (which is a joke in itself) because this is who billed me. This was my experience: I had already moved a majority of my furniture and boxes but I decided I wanted to cut myself some slack and hire movers and not have to bug any more friends for help. I called Geaux Movers a few times before I hired them to get an estimate and schedule a day I could hire them. During each phone call, I mentioned I really only need help moving a heavy dresser and some loveseats from upstairs. The loveseats didn't even need to go in the truck; just moved downstairs. The woman on the phone always responded with "oh no problem, two guys can take care of that." I insisted the dresser was large and heavy but every time we spoke: "nah two guys can handle it." So two scrawny kids show up the day of, look at the dresser, and immediately say they can't do it and that I'll have to hire two more people who aren't available for hours and they would cost hundreds of more dollars. They insist they couldn't bring sofas downstairs either which was funny becuase I grabbed my roommate as he was leaving the house and we got it downstairs right in front of them without a problem. Red flags are popping up. Since I'm waiting to hear back from the office about the additional movers to come, they start packing up boxes and other misc. things. Soon enough, the truck is filled with things I didn't need a moving company for. We go to my new house to unload everything and one of the movers is constantly on his phone and I'm running laps around him unloading the truck and he keeps randomly mentioning how he "has to go soon" despite me hiring them and paying them based on however many hours it takes. I come inside the house a couple times to find him kind of wandering. Fast-forward. The truck is now empty, I didn't hear anything back from the office about getting the extra men, and the two "professional movers" didn't touch the things I actually needed their help with. Just after a couple hours of having these two move boxes that I could've moved myself, I'm now out ~$600 and I'm left the with same problems I had before they arrived. I pay them and walk inside to find my credit card placed in a weird spot I've never left it. Knowing I had a card found and moved around my house, I called the Geaux Movers office and said "Look, it's probably nothing but I want it known that some funny business could've happened with my card. There's no need to punish anyone or say anything but I'll be keeping an eye on this account and let you know if anything happens." Well sure enough, charges pop up on that account the following weekend. I call the office to tell them that unfortunately I was correct in thinking someone was taking my card info. The guy I'm talking to says its above his paygrade so he'll have his boss call me back. Days go by with no call. I call them back; same story. "The boss will give you call." Days go by; nothing. I end up calling these clowns every few days for weeks. Weeks turn into months and I finally get a hold of the boss. He goes by Woody. I'm telling Woody what happened and he immediately turns extra defensive and hostile and claims there's no relation to what happened with my card and the random charges a few days later. He then changes his MO to "I don't care about the charges, the charges mean nothing to me, I don't want to hear about them. I'll talk to my guys about this and get back to you in regard to you not being satisfied with what they did." I then explain to him that because one of them is now using my card, I have to cancel it and I'm without a card for at least a week. He goes on to say it's my fault I was robbed because I had a card loose in my house while strangers are there. He says he can't vouch for the men they send out and I'm a fool for having it somewhere they could grab it. MY FAULT, HE SAYS. I'm in the middle of moving... all of my possessions are everywhere... This is the last I heard from Woody despite calling them every week for months looking for some sort of a refund because their prices aren't as advertised, they didn't actually move any furniture I needed moved (which I ended up doing successfully with another friend so I know it could've been done just fine), and one of them legitimately robbed me. Oh, I even went to their business address on Banks St hoping to talk to someone and it's just some residential house who has nothing to do with the company. Turns out they're located it Mandeville and not the address they have listed. Don't hire these people. The owner is heinous, they aren't capable, and apparently, they're criminal. I ended up renting a van and having one friend come over to do all the things they claimed were impossible. Maybe Woody will finally call back after posting this.
