Wanted to support a family business during the chaos of the pandemic. I've been driving around for months with speakers bought on Crutchfield, a light kit for floorboards, and new headlight bulbs. I've got a road trip coming up and it was time to pull the trigger. I've taken my last two cars to Fidelity on Lankershim, and I'm sooo happy that I instead called Extreme Audio this time. I'm never going back! They didn't try to up sell me like Fidelity always does. They didn't mind at all that I brought my own equipment to install. Fidelity hates this. Extreme Audio is an Amazon approved installer, btw. They did such a great job and all in 2.5 hours at a really good price. Martina was very friendly and explained anything I was curious about. They also pointed out that the high end Soundproofing I had put in all four doors wasn't the brand I paid for at Fidelity. $150 a door for no name cheap stuff that was only installed in the interior panel and not the whole door as told. So I needed to replace one of my HID lights and was told by the guy at auto zone this was a decent place. I was able to replace my headlight. I start driving home nice and happy that I wot be pulled over for a fix it ticket. Well pretty soon I started noticing the headlight jumping around. So the next day I stroll back up to the shop and mention the issue with the light. Turns out the guy Jerry-rigged the bulb into the spot and then used electrical tape to hold it in place. The "owner" back peddled and said he had an extra bulb he was hoping would work... glad he told me that when I was there originally. So now they tell me they have to send someone to pick up the right bulb in and try have to go get it. Plus I have to buy a set. Then the guy who walks around looking at what is going in so I assume he is the owner or manager or something tells me that they are going to run and get the new bulb. To sit around for 20 minutes till the "other guy" gets back. 2 hours later the guy arrives with the right bulb. The funny thing is if they would have told me last night they didn't have the bulb but could get it for today I would have come back to get the correct one installed. However it seemed more like they were interested in my money then fixing the issue. Prople can run their business the way they want to but if they would have fixed it right the first time i might have come back again. The positive thing out of all of this is that I will have an extra bulb and the knowledge never to come back here again. If they can't take care of a small thing correctly then I would fear coming here for something big. read more

The company's warranty states lifetime replacement, I asked them for replacement, they are asking $300 to install a new one they said because of COVID. I was understanding enough to consider the situation so I was told that they can just remove the film for free. Couple of months later when I am ready to bring the car for film removal, they are charging $100 removal fee. Company is unreliable and hard to deal with. read more

This shop is very good. I had them put HID BLUE Headlights and fog lights in my 2010 Honda Accord. I went to the dealer to get some upkeep done on it and the dealer asked if the other dealer I go to did the install. The dealer told me they look very professionally installed. The dealer said the install looks like it came with those headlights. I was pleased to hear that. Now I'm having them tint all my windows on my 2nd car. CALL FIRST!! CALL FIRST!! ASK IF THEY HAVE THE EXACT MODELS/PARTS/SERVICES YOU WANT BEFORE GOING!! Found on amazon for installation of rear-view mirror that functions are as a dual dash cam. They offer services through amazon but you can call them directly, which is probably easier to schedule. I called first and found out they do not carry the particular model I have so thank goodness I did not go there randomly to visit first. I had an informative conversation and was able to carry on forward though!! They charged $140, as advertised on amazon. Quick easy scheduling and drove up there same day once I got my parts via Amazon online. But they were so busy and popular they did not have same day availability week prior (but it did not matter....I did not have my parts) so calling to make an appointment is advised! Management is kind, they said it would be cheaper and easier to just buy the parts through amazon myself and have them install. They can obtain what you need but it would take longer and cost more time. For the specific purpose of installing a camera, this will depend on you. In general, car cameras are somewhat easy to install but if you prefer no hassle, no wires showing, and know absolutely nothing about hooking up the rear-view camera to the reverse-positive electrode reverse light (sounds much more complicated than it truly is...but google it and anyone can do it) then you may want to consider this service. FYI: buy the hardware installation kit also, but they have that for an additional $15-20 if you do not have it, same price as you would find online. Based on this, if I ever wanted to tint my windows or have sound systems installed, I would definitely go to them. Parking is easy but just hard to find. GO AROUND TO THE REAR OF THE MOVIE THEATER. I met them using the Amazon installation services. They were friendly and quickly installed my system. We had a problem with one of the parts that was needed that I forgot to order in advance, and they looked all over their shop to see if they could find a replacement part. They were not able to find one, but I located the part on Amazon. They told me to get the part and bring back the car to complete the installation. Well, I'm glad I came to this shop. Martina was really cool and honest and gave me a couple of options. I was ready to purchase a new set of lights she offered but upon inspection, the tech found out that my lights were actually good, just not installed correctly. I hate to write negative reviews. But this one I have to. I came around around 11:30 AM. I had to tint one window because tint pilled off, the rest of the windows were alright. As I got parked nobody was there to talk. The guy working on other car inside the shop looked at me couple times as I'm not leaving finally had spoken. He estimated me that it will cost $40 to redo the damaged ting and stated that it will not match the rest of old tint what's so ever. Then he said I will be able to do it one hour and a half later. I sad: "alright do you want me to leave car or come back next few hours?" He answered just come back around 1:30. Two hours later. I came back, parked the car. And the same guys was working on same car gets his face out of car says:" I'm not able to do this today bro!" Speechless I got back into my car i drove away. To business owner: If you are not actually open and don't have people to serve walk ins - shot the door down and don't waste other people's time. They instantly told me, let's take out the kicker system we installed and replace it all with infinity system. They did with no questions of my likes or dislikes. Came here one day to buy a headunit and get it installed. I called over the phone to confirm that they had to the headunit and went over to get everything done. Once I got there I confirmed the headunit I was buying/getting installed and their installer got to work. I waited over an hour for the job to done and for the installer to tell me that the headunit that was installed was different than the one I asked for. They didn't have the one I asked for in stock either, I asked for him to uninstall it and he tried convincing me to keep it. Been meaning to get an Auxiliary input for my car, and happened to drive by this place. Called them up to see what their pricing was, and for $200, they were $150 cheaper than Al & Ed's and Best Buy. Decided to go for it, and dropped off the car around 2:30-3pm, and was told it'd be about 1.5-2 hours. And here's where they lost a star: the car wasn't ready til about 6-6:30 pm. They installed a iSimple iPod/Aux input for me (a $50 part + an antenna adapter which I'm not sure on cost), so works out to about $150 in service. Guess that's alright, since I'm not really sure how much service should cost with my only point of reference being the ridiculously overpriced Al & Ed's. As for the part, it works pretty well. Haven't really had any problems with the auxiliary input, but have noticed some noise on the iPod line. That, and it won't charge a iPhone 4 for some reason (works fine with an iPod). All in all, that's alright though since the Aux input is more accessible anyway. Oh, and the guy that helped us, Jay, was super nice and helpful, so bonus points there. read more
