Quality is fine... from what I read I need to wait a year to see how the finished product settles. My problem is that I didn't need the back window tinted just the sides. I asked him He showed me $110 on a screen inside the shop . I then asked about the small 2 windows on the side and he said we DON'T need to do it they already have tint. So he does the job and I pull off and get home and realize that the 2 front windows don't match the small window tint. I GO BACK 30 Minutes later SAME DAY and I say," Hey I don't like the fact that it doesn't match. You said it would be the same color. " He said," I don't remember you saying that." I was literally there 30 minutes ago. It's looked tacky with the lighter tint in the back side windows, but to me that's not his fault because maybe the lighting is different in the shop and it's hard to see. First he seemed unwilling to do it. "Oh we don't remove old tint." I kept asking about different things we could do because I wanted a solution and good customer service. I wanted to leave a 5 star review. So he agreed to do it. My problem is that he wanted to charge me an extra $65 to do the small windows. Then he went down to $60 then $50. Then when he finished the job he said $40. My thing is if someone can't honor a price 30 Minutes later SAME DAY what makes you think he will honor anything a year or 2 later. Nice guy and good conversation. Maybe just needs to level up on the customer service a bit like the other reviews state. read more

I was going through the reviews and saw there were some bad experiences. However, my experience was a very good one. So, I wanted to share it here to make sure credit was given. I can only speak to my experience. About a week ago I got a new car on Saturday. I had to work during the week and wanted to get tints done Sunday, because this past weekend I went away for my birthday and it was very hot where I went and wanted to have the tints for my car to stay cool there. I had never been to JJ tint before, my last 3 cars I brought elsewhere and they did a great job but were not open on Sundays. I found JJ tint and he was open Sundays so I called to speak with him and he was very nice and explained his service was first come first serve and no appointment was necessary. I told him I would be over to his shop within an hr or two. I showed up and he took my right away since no one else was there yet since it was still early. Although had there been I was ready to wait of need be since he clearly explained his policy was first come first serve. He went through on detail all my options I had to choose from and pricing for those options. He was very nice and knowledgeable and patient. After discussing with him and deciding on what I wanted I told him I was going to grab. Some lunch and said he would have the car done in 45min. Which was much faster than the place I had gone for my other cars. I went and ate and came back 45 min later and he was just finishing up my last window just as he said he would be. He was exactly on time and everything looked great. He explained how I should treat them for the first few days and that I should follow those guidelines if I wanted the tints to stay applied correctly. I followed his instructions and waited a few days before I used the windows and then by time the next weekend came around and it was ready for my trip I started to use the windows. I wanted to wait to post a review until I was done with the post applying rules he gave me and then after I had used them to see if they held up. I used them all weekend and my car was in the sun all weekend I wanted to see if they would hold up or if they would start peeling because of the heat or anything. I can say not only did they hold up but they also helped me stay cool all weekend and kept my black leather seats from getting too hot. I am extremely happy with the quality of work and would certainly come back to this shop again. He takes pride in his work here and I appreciated his no bullshit approach. I am from NY and I just want the facts not someone giving me a runaround. So this was a breath of fresh air. He gives you your options and then let's you decide what you want. Then offers to let you sit and wait or to come back when the job is done. He also is very clear about how to take care of these in the immediate days following installation. And the price is fair and exactly what he said it would be. He was fast and efficient. And answered all my questions before getting them installed and all my questions about maintaining them. He also told me if there were any issues with them to just let him know and I could bring it right back for him to fix as sometimes there can be mishaps,which set me at ease and I felt very comfortable. So far I have had no issues with the tints and they look beautiful and do their job perfectly. I will come back and update this after a couple months with an update review once I see how they hold up. But at the moment I could not be happier with the actual tints installed or the customer service I received. read more

I got here early on a Sunday morning since it's first come, first serve. JJ was so nice. He greeted me upon entry and was able to get started on my car before he opened. He showed me the various tints and helped me decide on a shade I was OK with. I got the premium tint, which is $150, for my 2010 Nissan Altima coupe. JJ made good conversation and although his shop is small, he offers many other services -- alarms, HID lights, sound. He took his time with applying the tint and was done in an hour and 15 minutes. I am very satisfied with the job he's done and plan on returning for him to install the HID lights. He's very welcoming and professional.
