DO NOT HIRE! MISSING ITEMS FROM JOB SITE! It's very unfortunate I have to right this review. I really thought they were good people. The job they did wasn't bad. In fact we like the floors even though they were almost 2x more expensive then other quotes, we figured they seemed the most professional. Unfortunately after the job was all done I noticed 4 items missing from the job site. We are currently working on the house so it's mostly tools there. 3 tools and a blue tooth speaker are no where to be found. I called and asked them about it but naturally they said they didn't see anything. They were the ONLY ones to have access to the job site and ALL 4 items were present the 1st day they showed up. There is no signs of break-ins, vandalism or anything else and the large tools (which are harder to hide) are still there. I don't think I have much recourse in the matter, so my loss is your gain. From the firm & reasonable quote (which didn't change), to the booking / work date (again, showed up first thing on day scheduled), to photos of every step of the process emailed (dozens of every section of floors of 3 rooms total), to completion (said maybe 3 days, took 2), to payment (50% upon start, balance upon completion), to QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP (best ever! My husband and I recently purchased an older home with original hardwood floors and hired extreme floor care to refinish them. Megan was great with all of her communication throughout the whole process. Our floors came out beautifully and exactly how we wanted! My ONLY gripe is the 6 giant bags of garbage left outside of my house. Bulk pick up will not pick them up in Northfield and I requested Extreme Floor Care to please get rid of them or reimburse me if I have to pay to dispose of them. Fantastic job refinishing the hardwood floors in our 90 year old house. There was some severe water stains in a few spots and Joe was able to order new wood to fix the areas. The finish is beautiful and feels very strong. Megan was great to deal with- excellent communication and explained/educated us on the whole process. They showed up on time, were very clean and in the end the price was even a little cheaper then the estimate because less material was needed for repairs. Megan will guide you through the whole process...from giving you recommendations, developing the contract and answering all your questions in a very timely manner (I didn't realize how many questions I would have until we got started). Megan gave me a recommendation for the stain to use and it was absolutely perfect. She saw my style and listened to me and I would have never even known that this beautiful stain was available! I HAD beautiful hardwood floors in my home. We had water damage and needed to get floors redone in 2 rooms, but since the hardwood all ran together we decided to have them do all of the floors...dining room, kitchen hallway, living room and powder room. What a BIG mistake. If we sweep the dirt causes scratch marks in it. Nothing is sealed and if you drop any little thing on the floor it makes a dent. We called and the rude woman that came out, the same one that gave the estimate, told me I was crazy. That there was nothing wrong. she said I needed to put protectors on all my counter stools that already had protectors on them. Any speck of dirt that is on the floor will scratch it if I tried to wipe it up. I wanted the owner to come out, but you cannot get in touch with him. This was over a year ago, but it still irks me everyday when I look at the floors. I spent over $3000. I could have bought a whole new floor. read more
