A view of the go Karting track
    Shalil J.

We were supposed to go to the Alaska State Fair, but after finding out (at that venue) that it was closed, we decided to check out the fun center. And are we glad we did! It was fairly empty when we went midday on a Tuesday, but the staff was still as energetic and fun as ever. The arcade games available to play were plentiful and had a good variety. It was also very nice that your dollar could go a long way at each machine as the number of credits required to play a game was not too high at all! The go Karting was fun as well, and the speed you were allowed to drive at was still exhilarating and allowed you to still drift a bit on turns, allowing you to try and beat the fastest laps of the day posted on the TV screen beside the attraction. The staff was also cleaning and sanitizing the equipment right after each use, which was very nice to see. The laser tag arena, while it was on the smaller side compared to what I have played down in the lower 48 states, it was still really well done and fun with my friends. Nothing about it felt even remotely close to being run down. Everything felt very well maintained! There was also a play and climbing area for little kids, as well as a rock climbing wall and tiny bowling alley that we did not use, but it was available. We did grab a quick snack to eat, featuring a large pizza that can feed 2 and a half guys and some mozzarella sticks. The food was nothing to write home about, but it was better than what you'd expect at a Chuck E. Cheese. All in all, it was a fun day and definitely a place to take your kids! It was a great day for a family outing

We had a great time and experience at extreme fun center. We had a birthday party for our niece and all employees were accommodating and we love the place for all ages.

The investors dumped a lot of money into this place and it shows. The laser tag arena is as good or better than anything that used to be in Anchorage. (Sadly, all the laser tag joints I frequented in the 90s have long since vaporized.) Frankly, this place is as good for adults as it is for kids. There's now a bar on the second floor too. Need I say more? Yes... indoor go-karting! That can be pretty important to a state with lengthy winters like ours. I haven't tried the go karts yet but the track looks to be well-designed for a smaller, indoor space. I'll get behind the wheel next time. All the carnival/Chuck E. Cheese style games are in good condition and seem to be maintained well. If I had to pick something... this place could use a proper wack-a-mole but I'm not complaining. From the giant claw machine to the bumper cars, there's plenty of "Extreme" fun to be had.

I live in Oregon and have been trying to purchase a family membership for them as a Christmas gift. In the last eight (8) days, calling nearly every day and sometimes multiple times a day my expereince has been disappointing. I have yet to reach any live person with whom I can place a phone order. Their website to join is a deadend, besides which I cannot sign a waiver for them. There is no email option I've found for outreach. I want to pay for the membership over the phone and have them notify the recipients of their pending membership. However, despite mutiple voicemail messages left in the Admin mailbox I have yet to speak with anyone. I tried the phone option for speaking to a live person working onsite but was disconnected twice after waiting a long while for someone to answer. Unless someone can walk in I don't see how to purchase a family membership. Too bad.

I visit every time I go to the mall but Christ it's horrifying looking at those prices, for example I was cowering the Wii section and I came across 2 copies of Mario kart going for 60!! The cases were even discolored and it's super easy to find the games going for 25 in a better condition on eBay. Additionally I came in there last year and was shocked by the trade in credit they offered me, I had been amassing about 300 dollars worth of games I picked up for a couple bucks at various garage sales and thrift stores and they only offered me 50 bucks for everything. Literally just one of the games I offered them was worth that amount. Just looking at their consoles is crazy to me too, 125 bucks for a n64 is absurd which from my knowledge has been in their case for months. I got mine a couple years ago for about 50 with games and some original boxes. Lastly I think they are really shooting themselves in the foot here by not expanding with more modern titles, most people in the scene have no interest in anything older than the ps4 and Xbox one, yet those sections are some of the smallest in the store. I personally collect every generation and console, w about 20 consoles and ~600-700 ish games but I am obviously not the norm. With the closing of the GameStop right below them they have a massive opportunity to take over in the modern games department.

It sits at the end of a mostly abandoned strip mall. It is noticeably more spacious than its competitors. Like all places that require a waiver, try to get that taken care of online, before you're there physically. It's not uncommon to experience an incompetent employee working the pay desk, and holding everyone up. Give yourself plenty of time and exercise patience...it's for the kids. There are lots of tables available for you to sit and spread out. I appreciate the long tabletop with stools, that sits directly in front of the trampoline area, so you can further helicopter parent. There are rock walls, arcade games, and other random items for the children to enjoy, in addition to, the trampolines. They sell dip-n-dots ice cream as well as pizza and other snacks. Naturally, Shockwave is starting to show its age in some areas. What's important to me, is that everything was safe and looked clean, including the bathrooms.
