We were greeted by a bunch of friendly people that were working at the checkout registers. They have a whole bunch of merchandise you can look at or purchase, a lot of food options, snacks, a variety of fountain drink flavors to choose from, coffees, Icee flavors and so much more. They have clean bathrooms with a lot of stalls, that are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. During this trip my husband got a pineapple flavored fizzy drink. He said he can't find anything like it anywhere else. I tried it and it was super sweet. I purchased a large rice crispy treat that they sold by the register at the checkout. It lasted me a few days and was delicious. On a side note we did visit in the late afternoon after 7:00 pm so we didn't really have to deal with overcrowding but there was still quite a few people there. Overall Buc-ee's was a good stopping place to walk around and browse or buy items. They have very friendly people working there and it's a good place to take a bathroom break during a road trip.

So many things happening in this place - people making fudge, candied nuts, all kinds of jerkee; a huge BBQ station where employees shout out every time they either make or sell a sandwich? All kinds of fun merchandise - from clothes to shoes, to toys - a full gift shoppe. Employees are amazing - engaged, kind, energetic - definitely seem to care about what they do. Management salaries are posted out front for hiring purposes - pay is real high which is great, but even better, seems like those managers are doing a great job leading employees for that $$$ So, if you ever see a Buc-ee's I recommend you go in and see it - it's pretty hard to explain but it is quite something.

I remember once when I used one of those 6-bottle cardboard holder and when going up the stairs to my apartment, the cardboard holder gave way and I lost 3 bottles, immediately I emailed Dana and she replied that she was so sorry and she told me to go the customer service at the Business Center to pick up my replaced bottles. This reminds that I need to make myself acquainted with the new wine and beer manager. Most of the cashiers are very friendly and it's always helps when they have a bagger to assist the cashier to expedite check-out. And, I always pay in the store. I don't know how they did it, but this Valero managed to hire the nicest guys ever! They look like a heavy metal band working their day job...which makes me smile immediately. They are always quick to compliment, smile, and tell you to have a great day. Personality at the pump? You bet!
