Statement Regarding Incident at 7-Eleven Store - June 20, 2025 On June 20, 2025, at approximately 8:05 PM, I entered the 7-Eleven store located on Cameron Road off Highway 290. I went in to purchase $30 worth of gas, a bag of Funyuns, and a Big Red soda. At the counter, I handed the cashier--who was wearing a blue turban--two $20 bills to pay for my purchase. To be clear, I did not have any $10 bills on me at the time. Earlier that day, I had withdrawn $5,000 from my bank in preparation to pay my nephew's lawyer, and the funds were given to me in denominations of $100s and $20s. I informed the cashier I wanted $30 worth of gas and waited for my change. Instead of returning the expected $10, the cashier insisted I had only given him $30. He attempted to support his claim by reviewing the security footage. However, the video only showed me placing two bills on the counter--it did not show the denominations clearly. Another customer in line confirmed that the video did not clarify whether the bills were $20s or otherwise. Despite this, the cashier accused me of lying. A woman--possibly a manager--then came from the back of the store and sided with him without reviewing the situation thoroughly. I felt demeaned, disrespected, and humiliated. Even after I left the store, I was told that the cashier continued to watch the footage while making derogatory comments about me. The entire experience felt not only like poor customer service but also discriminatory and racially biased. This incident is no longer about the $10--it is about how I was treated. I believe I was unfairly targeted, disrespected, and discriminated against, and I am now seeking legal counsel to explore my options, including filing a formal complaint and potential lawsuit for discrimination. read more

Huge variety of stuff, fast service. It's a cleaner 7/11 than the ones I've been too. It's right off the highway which makes it a great spot to stop in for drinks and snacks. There's a ton of food places in the area as well read more

This 7-Eleven/Exxon was close by to my hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) right by Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. I stopped in one cold, rainy night to refuel the rental vehicle in preparation for returning it the next morning to the rental car center at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Paid at the pump, paid with a credit card. Went to retrieve my fuel receipt - and the pump screen directed me inside to see the clerk for the receipt. I went inside, and also bought a bottle of V-8 juice. I got my fuel receipt with no problem. The inside of this location was in disarray. Just stopped in to grab a few things. The two employees working wouldn't let anyone in without a mask, yet one was holding the door (partially blocking the doorway) and not allowing safe distance for those that had masks and could come in. Many people were getting turned away. The cashier was being rude af. This store needs to weed out these incompetent morons. It seems some people aren't even capable of working at a gas station. This evening we waited well over 10 minutes to make a purchase, waiting around for a cashier to cash us out. There was a woman with a gold grill walking around on her cellphone yelling at other employees to lock the coolers up to stop the sale of beer and alcohol after midnight. Initially this woman looked like a regular customer as she was on her phone with no regard to the line of customers waiting to check out. We grabbed our drinks well before midnight and were waiting to check out and this same woman that was walking around her cellphone (on a personal call) took all of our items and told us we could not purchase them because it had passed the time allowed to make these purchases. BUT sold a full pack of corona to the people right in front of us (STILL AFTER MIDNIGHT) and continued to berate us for attempting to make this purchase. After confronting her for walking around on her phone and making everyone wait on her she began to yell at us to leave. Highly unprofessional and incredibly rude to every customer in this store. Extremely hypocritical to sell beer to the customers right in front of us and then take all of our items right out of our hands after making us all wait for her to finish up her personal call on her cellphone. Worst service ever. Pumps are out of order, so you can't pay at the pump with a credit card. You have to walk in to pay and the moron doesn't turn on the pump for your pre-paid gas payment.... had to go in 3 times to tell him to turn the pump on.... really?
