My daughter and I have used Juke Auto several times. Our first experience was over 4 years ago. The service was a complete transmission replacement. Our experience was top tier. We went back for other repairs and each time the repair work and customer service was becoming less like our first experience. The car was towed Monday late afternoon. She didn't get it back until yesterday. They originally told her she could have picked it up on Friday but they didn't have time to do some sort of repair. My daughter told them to keep it until they could actually finish it. When she got into the car the same light that was on when it broke down was still displayed. Juke told her that they couldn't duplicate what happened to the vehicle. She drove the car home with no problems. She drove the car to work with no problem. On her way home it started having issues. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She has tried calling Juke, but as usual no answer. I called after her from my phone and they answered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked if they would actually be able to take a look at it the next morning. I was told it just depends on when they receive the car. Summing it up, they had the car for a week and she is right back where she was. They did replace an oil gasket that had a crack. My husband and I have been customers of Juke with our two vehicles for typical maintenance and they've always been reliable, so when my brakes suddenly went out on my Jeep, I went to Juke for help. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was easy to make the appointment to have the Jeep towed in and they got back to me by the end of the day with the diagnostic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My brake line had blown out and they were going to replace it. The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! I brought my car in 2 and a half months ago where they quoted me to remove and replace my battery for $340. I then brought it in for an inspection now 2.5 months later. They quoted me $430 this time for the exact same service (to remove and replace the battery). Same car, same battery, nothing has changed over those two months. When I questioned the mechanic about the price increase he told me they "missed an additional 15 minuets of labor the first time they quoted it". I then questioned if whether the first time I had agreed to the service at $340 would they have called me halfway through and told me they needed to tack on another $90 that they "forgot" to quote me for?? He had no explanation. In the end, he kept chalking it up to it being a mistake and I told him it felt really odd and dishonest. Juke Auto is not an honest auto shop. They tried to rip me off with unnecessary services and I left feeling like I paid way too much for basic maintenance. They're just as expensive as the dealership, and I ended up paying double what I should have. I went in for an oil change in May 2024, and they told me I needed a new cabin air filter and engine air filter. I agreed to both. Then, in November 2024, I went back for another oil change and they told me AGAIN that I needed a new cabin air filter! This is when I became suspicious. I started researching and found out that the general rule of thumb is to replace the cabin air filter every 15,000 miles or annually, not every 5,000 miles! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I questioned the service advisor, he just said it was based on my mileage and couldn't even look me in the eye.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I requested full synthetic oil during my first visit, but I highly doubt they actually used it. They told me I needed another oil change just 5,000 miles later. Full synthetic oil should last significantly longer. This makes me question their honesty and whether they're actually using the products they charge for. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Juke Auto. They are dishonest and their prices are as high as the BMW dealership. I thought I was saving money by going to Juke Auto, but I ended up paying twice as much! Watch out for their scam! General Rules of Car Maintenance Oil Change: Every 3,000 miles for conventional oil, every 5,000-7,500 miles for synthetic blend oil, and every 7,500-10,000 miles for full synthetic oil. I used them for my previous car and will use them continuously as long as I live in Austin. They are reliable and dependable, do excellent work, and NEVER upsell. I paid $3,371.39 for...nothing. 3/30/23: I paid $1,832.74 to have my AC fixed in my 2007 Volvo S60 1st- Yes I know it's an old car. Doesn't mean you should take advantage of me. The next day my AC stopped working. My turn signal also happened to break. I called Juke Auto and brought my car back in. For 2 weeks they had my car. I would get calls saying "Hey you need ____ fixed in order for your AC/turn signal to work." Ok. You all are the "experts". So I agreed. After all of these repairs, I get a call saying my car has "the black death" aka oil mixed with tiny metal parts has gone all throughout my car engine and has done too much damage to get fixed. WTF. Something called "THE BLACK DEATH" is in my car and it took $3,000+ to figure this out?? 4/14/23: I decided to cut my losses and paid $1,538.65 for...a turn signal that looks fixed but doesn't work & my AC STILL doesn't work. Why the late post? Maybe it's this 100+ consecutive days of this heat wave that's got to me but I think the public should know what my experience was here. I can echo the sentiments of many other Yelp reviews here... they're not the cheapest shop in town, but they do good work. I had originally had a mobile mechanic look at my car and he diagnosed it for needing some repairs, but they didn't have any immediate availability to do the work. Juke Auto was able to get me in the next day to do the repair for a bit less than the mobile mechanic. Great! Unfortunately, after a nearly $700 repair bill, the car still had issues. I brought it back and they were nice enough to do their own diagnosis of the issue which took longer then expected. They ended up figuring out the ACTUAL cause of the problem. The bad news was that it would be another $1,300 in repairs. The good news is that once again Juke Auto got me in the next day and did the repairs very quickly. I did do some shopping around before the second job and found their price was more or less in line with other shops. Oh, Juke surprised me when they gave me a loaner car for the few days on the second job. It wasn't a great car but hey, it was "free." When all was said and done, my car is finally fixed of all of the issues I was looking to get fixed. I'm sure I could have looked and looked and saved a few bucks elsewhere but Juke a) knows what they're talking about and b) takes care of the problem very quickly. I want to start by saying the people at Juke are very nice and communicated with me consistently during the last visit. I've used them for years and was always happy with the quality of their service, but I am very dissatisfied with the last visit. I took my car in because the passenger side rear window sunk and wouldn't roll up. My car is old, this kind of thing was bound to happen. I told them up front that the door handle is delicate but works and to be careful when handling it. Well, they broke the door handle off and ultimately decided they couldn't fix the window that day (and if I wanted them to order the part they said to expect a $900 repair) or even lodge it in place like they said they could at the start. So, I was charged $160 to get my car back more broken than when I took it in. There was no offer of fixing the handle they broke or even a wave of the BS diagnostic fee, just a "whoops, we broke the handle clean off. Sorry about that." Over the years I've sent a lot of business to Juke, but I'm afraid this is the last time I trust them with my business or vouch for them with my friends. read more

I really hate doing this - my first couple of experiences with them were good. They're competent mechanics, nice shop, nice people. But last few times I've been there have been absurdly priced and frankly, getting premium pricing for sub-premium work. And, they weren't nice about it either. My car has been sitting for a year and admittedly needs some mechanical work. The battery died - I towed the car to them. First, there was the charge for the hefty diagnosis fee (there's a hefty diagnosis fee on everything here). And then they said I needed an alternator (I doubted that very much), 850 dollars, and a new battery and that just the battery alone would cost 600 dollars and they said they both have to be replaced together. I called them up because I couldn't believe it. Their answer was "well it's a BMW - you're welcome to get a second opinion". I've owned BMWs for nearly 20 years and never paid no 600 bucks for a battery. So yeah, I did. The other shop diagnosed the issue, replaced the battery, diagnosed another problem, fixed that, all for under 300. The alternator is just fine - did not need to be replaced at all. Frankly, I would have been better off going to the dealer. So yeah, 1 star. Sorry to report. Beware. read more

And take minimum a full day. They said tire itself was 350. Googled tire. Costs 220 bucks most everywhere. Dealership itself did it for 290 bucks. In three hours. Juke has great service but you will have to be okay getting ripped off. They mark up parts 3x-5x retail before labor. A simple google search reveals what the expected hourly labor required for these services are and they grossly inflate everything from parts to labor. From my experience they run a bait and switch scam where you agree to x service for them to do "to see if that fixes the problem." Then next thing you know the real problem is found and grossly inflated cost. Be smart, use google to see average pricing for parts and services. Don't get ripped off by Juke. These guys always come through for me, and they did it again today. My issue today was small, and they got me right in. They fixed it, except for one thing that only the dealer can take care of. They could have told me that the car needed this and that, but they were very honest, fixed what they could, directed me to Toyota to take care of the final issue. And, because they have so much integrity, they said the repair was on the house. I will NEVER choose another auto shop in Austin--these guys are the absolute BEST!!! Good news. they were able to fix my AC no problem. However, it took them about 6 hours just to add new Freon... I had an appointment planned a week ahead of time, set at 8:30 AM. They told me they were busy, so I was prepared to wait a couple of hours. They did not finish fixing my AC until about 2pm...I had to wait about 6 hours for a simple fix. I'm not sure why they told me to bring my car in at 8:30 AM for a scheduled service, when they weren't even able to begin working on it until about Noon. It was a huge inconvenience, as I had no ride to take me to the shop and back. I was stuck waiting for half of the day. I just don't understand why they told me to bring it in so early. I really wanted Juke Auto to be my reliable mechanic. I have a 2015 Tiguan. In February I took advantage of the costumers coupon in the mail for check in fluids and bought new tires. I got new tires but it turned out they didn't do anything else. My washer fluid stopped working, brought it to Juke in March on a Thursday with appointment. There was no communication, the guy didn't know how to send texts. He was pissy on the phone when I called to ask for update. He all but said I was hysterical. No. They kept it over night and didn't fix the problem. I gave them a second chance. No go. Not fixed and they messed up the computer system. Two days later I realized my car had been dinged on the left front bumper. It had been no where but my driveway. Juke Auto should not claim to fix VW or any Euro car. They don't know how to and at this time, they won't admit this. My husband and his 2016 Dodge Journey have received good service but he's rethinking whether he will use Juke anymore. read more

Got my bitch ass. They told me I needed to replace all my spark plugs because 1 wasn't working and there was a new model out. After talking to a friend who knew what he was talking about later we did some research and there was no reason to do this. Those other spark plugs worked fine for 15+ years so at the end of the day I should've known but I definitely got played. Even if they hadn't scammed me they charge some expensive ass labor. Took my 2005 Prius into Juke for an oil change and a maintenance check prior to a road trip. Every where else (Dave's Ultimate Auto, Gene Johnson, etc) I have brought my car in for a maintenance check calls me during the day to let me know if there is anything they want me to repair. This was the first time I have been to Juke and figured based on the reviews they were as professional as some of these other mechanics I have been to in the past. The reason I went to Juke was because they were the closest mechanic to my new house. Juke texted me 30 minutes before closing, I had brought my car in at 8:30, just after they opened at 8. I asked why they did not contact me earlier and they informed my that they are not a "lube shop" and that any maintenance would have to be done another day because they "don't have time for it". Why did I bring my car in at 8:30 AM to be done in half an hour and texted about at 5 PM? This "maintenance check" was $133. The oil change was almost $90. Take your business elsewhere. Update 5/24/24: I received a satisfaction survey via text this morning from Juke Auto to submit this original review to Google reviews. After submitting the review a manager reached out to me to apologize for the service I received yesterday, that staff involved would be coached and that I would be receiving a full refund. I've updated the star from 1 to 3 as Juke Auto seems to have been trying to make things right. read more
