Took my credit card, I selected my grade and put the pump in and the screen pops up with "thank you!" And I get a $0 receipt. On multiple pumps. It was amazing. I have never seen anything like it. Never go here if you NEED gas. I barely made it to another gas station - had 2 miles left according to my truck. Oh - and the next gas station had pumps that actually worked. The new owners have moved their repair shop to Carroll Fuel. Luke and his mechanics no longer work there. I understand that Luke is not planning on opening another business--apparently he has retired. The new owner demolished the old station across the street and is building a store and gas pumps, but will keep the Carroll Fuel for gas pumps, repair shop and U Haul rental. I have not used the new repair shop yet, and have no positive or negative recommendation. The new manager seemed very nice when I talked to him about the sale and their new plans. Luke, if you happen to read this, I am so sorry you are no longer working! We were so happy to have you work on our cars for decades, you were always the pinnacle of professionalism, helpfulness and generosity. I wish I knew how to contact you, as I would like to give you a retirement gift as a token of my gratitude. To the new owners: I hope you realize that Luke's former customers have very high expectations of quality service and professionalism. I've had some RoFo chicken disappointments before, but a tip of the hat to Daym, who has mentioned this technique: For the freshest fast-food, go to a place as soon as possible after opening time! I got there around 6:30am, and surprise, they actually had chicken freshly made at that hour! I got just one fried chicken thigh. It was hot and crispy, and the chicken was tender and juicy and flavorful, right up there with the well-known drive-through places. Now I know why folks love their RoFo chicken. Come when they've made a fresh batch! For me, it's now on my "breakfast" list :-)

Nice to know it hasn't been sitting all day. Store wasn't busy this morning. They didn't have any cashiers but they have two self service registers. Prices are what you would expect for any convenience store. I have been here on other occasions to grab a beverage or snack. Overall not a bad place so I will return.

Recently, I had a terrible experience with another local mechanic (see my reviews if you'd like to know who and avoid them) and they tightened my oil plug so unbelievably tight that when I tried to change it myself, I rounded the bolt and could not get it off. Hector got the bolt off, provided me a new one (since the one Advanced Auto sold me was wrong), and used the oil and filters I'd already bought so I didn't have to pay full price. I doubt many mechanics would do that. Plus he fit me in at the last minute. Any work I can't do myself will be going to Hector from now on!

I went with a couple of friends as we were going to an O's game, and cheaper to eat here than at Camden Yard. They were pretty efficient not having to wait too long on that Saturday.
