They also have hardware and supplies that you won't find in any other store. If I'm pretty sure they are going to have I'll go to Flagala over any of the other stores even if I'm looking for something that's hard to find. WARNING: Avoid the Panama City U-Haul Location--Go to Fort Walton Instead!…read moreI should have paid closer attention to the negative reviews about the Panama City U-Haul location. Do not go here! I had an appointment for a hitch installation booked two weeks in advance for 7:00 AM. After driving 25 minutes to get there, my car sat outside untouched for 30 minutes while the salesperson waited on other customers. When I finally went to inquire, I was told they didn't even have the hitch in stock and were looking within a 50-mile radius to locate one. I asked for a manager to find a resolution and was told she was on her way. Twenty minutes later, I went back to the counter to demand to speak with her. The salesperson was just helping other people and completely ignoring my issue. When I asked for the manager again, I was told she was still coming. Naturally, I grew aggravated and let the salesperson know I was unhappy with the service. He told me to quit yelling (I wasn't) and claimed I was disrespecting him. Then, he actually pulled the race card and claimed this was a race issue. It absolutely wasn't--race had nothing to do with my aggravation. I was simply not being treated with respect, empathy, or any concern for U-Haul's massive mess-up. Instead of fixing their mistake, he kicked me off the property. I went to the U-Haul on Hutchison Street in PCB, where I had originally made the appointment. Brittany, the General Manager there, was shocked by how I was treated and that the race card was used. She immediately found me another hitch at the Fort Walton store an hour away. When I arrived at the Fort Walton location, I was treated with the utmost respect and concern. They installed the hitch and were absolutely great. A huge thank you to General Manager Miguel and Benny for your professionalism and care! Go to the Fort Walton location. They won't blame the customer or use the race card to cover up their own lapses. I have still not heard back from the Panama City General Manager, and that should tell you all you need to know about how that location is run.
