The owner (Randy) came out and spent a lot of time explaining the proper care and treatment of my particular roof (tapersawn, pre-treated, cedar shake). He is extremely knowledgeable, and I actually learned a lot. While our roof did not look bad, it had darkened over the years due to black fungus that apparently likes to grow on our type of cedar. AAA-1 recommended a two-step process of (1) cleaning the roof and then (after things had dried out), (2) applying a manufactured oil shingle treatment. Two of Randy's workers came out within a couple of weeks and spent most of a day pressure-washing the roof. Our roof's pitch is VERY steep, and it was comforting to see they were well-equipped with safety harnesses and ropes - using the tie-offs along our roof's ridge. Their cleanup was excellent. During the process, our beautiful off-white stucco house was covered in debris from the cleaning. But it was literally spotless - better than before - after they rinsed it all off. A few weeks later, the same crew returned and applied the oil. It looks fantastic now! It is a good feeling to know that our roof has been thoroughly cleaned and treated. Randy suggested a maintenance plan (basically every 3-5 years) to do the same process. We do not get much debris on our roof, so it is mostly sun damage and the black fungus we need to address. The oil also helps prevent curling and/or splitting of the shakes. AAA-1 also cleaned our detached gazebo and garden shed - both of which cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend AAA-1. Knowledgeable, professional, prompt, thorough, and honest are all adjectives I'd use to describe these folks.

I found that local newspaper advertisement worth a coupon/promotional deal of $299 for roof wash up to 1900sq feet! What a deal you would say, right? Wrong! And my husband proved me wrong and being too naive yet again. First of, I tried to schedule an estimation visit and no dates or time were provided. Then I asked them at least notify me of the visit 24 hours in advance, cause I wanted to be present and talk to the estimator. Guess what, I got a call from their office telling me there estimator will be there in 30 min when I was out, so I rushed home immediately and found out that he already left like 2 hours ago! Second, I was patiently waiting for an estimation that day, and the best day, and decided to give them a call, where a nice lady told me that she will send me my estimation in an hour or so. No result! The next day I called again and heard a bs about junk folders or whatnot... Finally, I got my email after that. And what a surprise... Third, surprise was great! My promo/coupon estimated price was $645 plus tax = $712!!! Let me explain also that our whole house area (2 floors!!!) is 1800sq feet! So, even if my roof including slopes is double of one floor area (900 sq feet), it would still be under stated 1900sq f promo! And, as someone already mentioned in their review, their estimate basically said: - We'll wash your roof for xxx $ - If you accept in 24 hours, we'll decrease this by X percent - If you pay by cash/check, we'll decrease this by Y percent No explanation provided of ANY sorts of details of unique case, or basis of provided pricing!!!?!?!! One third of the exposed nail and screw heads were incompletely sealed. The shakes were not the shakes I picked and did not match our garage. There was damage to our house and greenhouse without any mention of it. I never saw a supervisor and calls to the office were ignored. The owner refused to talk to me until I refused payment. Although we renegotiated the total, the owner and his company are an unfunny joke.

Multiple times. The north side of our house was instantly flooded, water coming through the windows that were opened (that was the end of open windows) and the gutter system failed miserably. Roof size / gutter and downspout capacity were not aligned. Nick, one their team members, was onsite and quickly diagnosed the problem to be downspout positioning (one of the two basically useless) and suggested they add a third one. From there it has been months (!) of chasing Kevin and Jeff. Replying to emails was not working and with voicemails that are full and not accepting additional messages, it was quite challenging. After GC stepped in, I was given a quote for gutters screen (an upgrade I requested) and the additional downspout that was needed. After *three* months of chasing them, the first installation date they would offer is three months out. Total of six months!! My expectation that they cover the cost of the downspout that they have failed to install in the right place in the beginning and recommended I add after the fact was flat out rejected. The ugliness of this company came straight out in blaming me for the mistake (the newly found gutter specialist). Then claiming their team member should have never recommended it and that it was not the problem. Going on and on about all of the various reasons it is my responsibility and not theirs. Many thousands of dollars of a project. $150 fix (paid to someone else who did it in ~30 minutes of work). Losing you good name, integrity and reputation like this reflects on the company, leadership and quality of work (or lack thereof) you can expect from RoofWorks Northwest. The images are of the actual one way email communications I had with them for ~3 months. As well as the latest reply I refined. I had two other vendors take a look at the fix, add the gutters screen protectors (additional business) and do the job in les than a week. I'd go with either of them - or many others - before RoofWorks Northwest. They are not worthy of your business and evidently, won't be there for you after.

I didn't expect that I would use Rock Roofing when I started to look for a roofer, neither did I…read moreexpect that Rock Roofing was beyond excellence! We started to experience granule loss on our roof that was installed in late 2005. That roof came with a 30-year warranty, but it didn't survive more than 18 years. I wanted to file a warranty claim, but the manufacturer required me to pull out a shingle as a sample, which I hesitated to do so. I don't know any lay person would be willing to pull out a shingle with some simple instructions. Even most handymen I talked to hesitated to take on such a job. When I was still figuring out what to do with the roof warranty, a big storm came to accelerate my re-roofing project. We got a leak on the roof, and the water came into our attic, and then our master closet. Yikes! I realized that I had to re-roof as soon as possible, so I decided to hire a roofer who could help me with the warranty claim. I got some recommendations from my neighbors, colleagues, and friends, and I started to call around. Rock Roofing wasn't on the list of the recommendations. However, because of that big storm, one highly recommended roofer declined to come to give me an estimate as they had got too much work, so they referred me to Rock Roofing. Colt at Rock Roofing was amazing. When I explained to him what I needed to file a warranty claim, he just volunteered to help without getting my promise to sign the contract. He then went ahead to pull out a shingle for me, and he also tarped the roof to protect my roof from the rain. When he was measuring my roof, he was able to identify the leak and just repaired on that spot. To be honest, when he told me that he had fixed the leak, I was skeptical. I also had other roofers come to give me estimates, but most of them couldn't even tell what caused the leak, so how could Colt identify the cause and fix easily?! It turned out that he did fix the leak. Before he came, we had a funnel system to direct the water from the roof to a big barrel. We always got lots of rain in the barrel. Since he came, we didn't get any more water in the barrel. Colt also helped me take many necessary photos for the warranty claim. Because my old roofing contract didn't specify the size of the roof, and the aerial roofing measurement didn't work due to the surrounding tall trees, Colt drew a roof sketch with detailed measurements for me to present to the manufacturer, who accepted the sketch and processed my warranty claim. He even did all these things during his vacation time. I really appreciated his assistances and efforts. I got total 4 bids for my roof. By comparing the same materials, Rock Roofing's price was the lowest. I normally don't take the lowest bid, because sometimes low bid just means low quality of work or poor customer services. I reviewed the contract closely and asked many questions. Colt was very patient with me, and he responded to my questions quickly. His explanation was very clear and easy to understand. Later I came to Yelp and realized that Colt had been highly praised in many reviews. Therefore, I decided to move forward with Rock Roofing. During the roofing process, the workers arrived on time and cleaned up after work. The work was completed on schedule. The next day after the work complete, one Rock Roofing staff came to do a thorough clean up, including the moss on my driveway. Colt came to walk me through the work to make sure that I was satisfied with every detail, and he also explained to me how the roofing system worked. I am very happy with Rock Roofing and Colt's exceptional services. I would highly recommend Rock Roofing if you need any roofing services.
