Working with Especially your was easy and wonderful. They came recommended from our venue (Marines' Memorial Club) an dI am so happy we went with them. We only ordered pipe and drape from them, but it turned out to be so beautiful and they were able to accomodate us when we called 3months away from the big day. Beverly is easy to work with, we did have one snag in pricing/mis communication, but Beverly did everything to fix it and all was good. (They just took a long time to process my check which then messed up other payments that had been pending, Beverly offered to reimburse me for the fee, but it wasnt necessary, and it didnt happen again) After booking, I didnt really speak to her until a week or so before. Which is a little nerve wracking, but isn't bad because you know you are in good hands. I sent a diagram of the room, and how I wanted the draping for the ceremony and reception, and it was incredible. The draping changed and enhanced the room so much, my husband and I still think it was one of the best ways we spent our money. They also have great prices, we ordered 30ft of drape with crystal beading overlay, all of that only cost us about $650, in comparison every other place we looked was double. Beverly Yip (owner of Especially Yours) was so wonderful to work with. We ordered 332 gold chiavari chairs with white cushions through Especially Yours for our wedding at Yank Sing. Here are reasons why we liked working with Especially Yours: 1. Quick responses and thoroughness - I'm a total Type A person, meaning I want responses ASAP. Beverly was so quick with her responses, and very thorough with her explanations. Throughout the wedding planning process and meeting with different vendors, we learned to really really appreciate Beverly. There were vendors who told us they'll meet up with us only to not show up. Sometimes we can't get a hold of some people. So I can't thank Beverly enough for making this a very pleasant part of the planning. 2. Professionalism and responsible - Beverly is very professional and responsible. When she said she'll do something, she gets it done! Throughout the 150+ emails with her, we got a sense that we can trust her to do a great job on our wedding, and on time too! She's a very busy lady, but made time to meet up with us on multiple occasions. The first was to show us how the chairs, cushions, and linens would look like. The second was to collect other wedding items that she went out of her way to get for us. 3. Conditions of the chairs - The chairs were in excellent condition on the day of the wedding. Gold chairs are pretty common, and I was a bit worried about wear and tear. However, the chairs were great! 4. Flexibility - We were going to order 280 black chairs with black cushions, and 28 black table covers for our previous venue. Things got complicated, and we somehow ended up at Yank Sing with 332 gold chairs, and no table linens. Beverly was very accommodating and worked with us. Some vendors will give you a hard time about this, but she didn't. Again, more appreciation. 5. Well connected - She's been in the business for awhile and knows so many people. We were able to get our cake stand and cupcake stand through her. It's also a plus that she's worked with our Day of Coordinator, Events by Satra, and our lighting company, Enhanced Lighting. Further, she's a preferred vendor for Yank Sing. This helped the flow of our wedding day. She also gave us some recommendations to other vendors. Again, thanks Beverly. I had my Wedding about 2 months ago (at the Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchant Exchange Building) and all i gotta say is that Beverly and EY Chaircovers went above and beyond when it came to my linens and chairs. The Ballroom looked absolutely amazing! She worked together with my florist (Nicole Ha) and caterer (Knights Catering) to create an absolutely stunning venue for our reception. BUT, i found beverly frustrating to work with. ey chair covers is the best price i could find. i would reluctantly use her again, but she pissed me off repeatedly during the planning process. -first she told me that the yelp discount was free delivery. then she changed her mind and said it's 50% off the delivery fee. unprofessional - you should honor your word. -she promptly sent the initial paperwork and fabric samples, but in her form letter, she forgot to change the name and location fields. i got the letter for someone's granddaughter's wedding. this lack of attention to detail didnt instill confidence, but she's the cheapest so i stuck with her. -we emailed back and forth 30 times (no joke) about what i wanted. i obviously needed some direction so she suggested a phone call. we set the date and time. no call. i waited 20 minutes then called her. she hung up on me. thinking it must have been a mistake, i called again. she doesnt answer. so i leave a message and email her. -she emails me back later that night. doesnt explain what happened and never calls. back to planning over email.... -i decided i wanted table runners. she said fine, quoted me a price and that was that. later, in an effort to save money, i wanted to remove the table runners (this is weeks before the wedding). beverly informs me that they were specially ordered for me and i have to keep them. that is something that should have been said upfront. i had never planned a wedding before and was juggling a lot of ideas. beverly offered no guidance in her area of expertise. -before the wedding, i set up another phone call to go over details. she said call her anytime. so i picked a date and time and told her i would call her. i called, she answers! i start going over how i want things setup. she says that she's on vacation and has to search for a pen to write things down. WTF?! she told me to call her. she agreed to the date and time. if she was going on vacation she could have suggested another date instead of making me feel like i was bothering her. -we agree to another phone call for the following week. she says she'll call me. again, she doesnt call. i wait 15 minutes then i call her. no apology for wasting my time yet again and not keeping the appointment. i go over the details of the wedding setup. -wedding day: 1 of my instructions was not followed, and some of the sashes looked sloppy and uneven. beverly was my least favorite of my wedding vendors, and i never actually met her! every other rating is 5 stars, and i'm disappointed i did not get the same 5-star service. read more

I finally heard from The Missing Beverly Yip by email today, May 11th, & here is part of it: "My assistant left our company at the beginning of April and since her departure, the emails and voicemails have been overwhelming... This is no excuse to not email, call or (facebook) sooner. " April, huh? Well, she & I first spoke and emailed on March 2nd, and it's now mid-May! So she *finally* replies almost 2 & 1/2 months later --- and GEE, "coincidentally" it's shortly after I wrote my original Yelp review. Mmm-hmm. She continues today's email by claiming she has had these linens on hold for me "since we first spoke on March 4, 2009" (wrong date) & proceeds to "remind" me of the pricing details, as if she'd given them to me before & I'm the one who left her hanging. Huh? This is the first time I'm hearing about ANY of this! Not only that, but my first request via email clearly asked for a quote for 20 tables, and her email shows 16 pieces on hold. I don't think I need to tell her that I won't be needing those linens anymore. LOL read more

Beverly and her crew at Especially Yours provided the chair covers for our wedding this past June and it was just lovely! Our reception venue only had regular chairs and so I searched around and EY had the best selection of char cover variety (material: silk or satin) and colors, the best price and customer service. Adding chair covers really added an elegant touch to the whole wedding since out venue was pretty plain alone (the SSF conference center) EY offered both the regular chair covers (in different colored cover and sashes) and also the chiviari chairs! I'm old fashioned and decided to go with the white chair covers and dark purple satin sashes to match my theme. Beverly really took the time to be sure we selected the right color and material by sending us samples and also meeting with us at the venue. I needed a new florist after we lost ours and she was able to contact a bunch of florist for me immediately. My lightings was amazing. Beverly is wonderful! How she was found: She did my wedding for me in September. Although it wasn't chair covers, Beverly did my uplights. She came recommended from my hotel manager and my wedding planner has known her. Her website did not mention any lighting service at all but I'm glad that she offer that service. Offers: Her packages are amazing. After looking site to site to site, I see offers that I can't refuse. She doesn't just uplights, she does spotlights, floor and ceiling washes, and much more. Who would think Chair Covers are a necessity when it comes to Chinese banquet? I had no idea where to start in regards to decorations for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration. My sister and I knew we wanted to make sure the restaurant, Empress of China looked "dressed up" and not like another evening in Chinatown. Unfortunately, the Dude's rug was in dispose... so I called Beverly. She sent me fabric swatches and was receptive to my strict "no bow" policy by suggesting clean kimono knots for the sashes, instead of bows. Beverly is extremely nice - all the reviews about her personality are true. I hate to be the one to leave a bad review, but this is the only vendor during my wedding that caused me a LOT of stress. All I needed from EY chairs during my ceremony was ~150 white folding chairs set up at the Shakespeare Garden in SF. Beverly told me there should be someone 2 hours prior to the ceremony to meet the delivery truck. My ceremony started at 330pm so I had someone waiting there at 130pm. I started getting panicked voicemails and phone calls and texts at around 3pm, saying the chairs have not arrived yet. By 315pm, I have already arrived at the ceremony location, sitting in the limo, watching guests arrive. People were standing around in the garden for a good 45 minutes before the chairs arrived at 345pm... after my ceremony was scheduled to start. I was mortified. Fortunately, they were able to get everything set up (with the guests helping!). Of course I called Beverly after my wedding and expressed my concerns. She was very apologetic, saying the truck broke down, there was traffic, etc. She talked about how my chair prices were actually really cheap because she misquoted me and therefore I already paid a lower price. I was appreciative that she gave me a lower price, but did this lower price cause her to not pay attention to my order as closely as all the other orders? My order wasn't as elaborate. I would have gladly paid full price to have avoided the extreme stress during my wedding day and not have my guests stand around (there were elderly people too who had to wait in the cars because there was no where to sit) in the SF fog. She offered a refund for my stresses. I get a check a few days later for less than 10% of my total cost. She basically gave me the tax back. I was completely insulted. Either way, I didn't bother to call her anymore. I felt like there was no point beating a dead horse. All I can say is that I wish I got the same timely service as all the other reviewers did. read more

Working on a corporate event in San Francisco - (Fortune 500) client decided **LAST MINTUE** (530pm on a Saturday) that they needed 2,140 white chair covers -the next day!!!! Found E.Y./Beverly on Yelp = she returned call right away and didn't even blink - she checked stock, resourced the remaining inventory she we needed and her team was installing the next day, on time, and with a smile. I will recommend her any and every time I know of a need for linens in NorCal. Especially Yours Chair Covers is an excellent company! I have to agree it took a little time for them to get back to me after i filled out their online request form - it was like, 3-4 days I think (more than 2 for sure..) but granted, I had asked for chair covers only about a week and a half before our reception. The thing is, Christina did not flinch when I gave her the date and time, she just had to juggle a few events that same day but she had no problems fulfilling our request for 160 chair covers in the 11th hour! Then I forgot to add our head table of 12 more chairs a few days before the event.. bless her soul, Christina had no problems with that once again. We just settled on paying in cash for the extra chair covers that were needed. The day before our reception her professional crew came in, did what they needed to do and blanketed our venue with beautiful mint green ribboned chairs. What a wonderful sight to see! Thank you Christina for making our day so memorable and beautiful! Side Note: I had originally gone with another company who was wayyy over our budget and they only had so many colors of ribbons and their ribbons weren't even ribbons.. they were nylon stretchy thingies.. ew. Especially Yours (Beverly, Diego and team)... simply awesome! We had them provide the pipe & drapery and lighting for our wedding this past February. We were referred to Beverly by my coworker and are we glad we got hooked up with Beverly. We provided Beverly with the specifics that we planned on having. She invited us to their showroom to give us a demonstration of what the pipe and drapes would look like.... but it was like a "show" in the warehouse. Their lighting tech Diego had all the lights put up, showing us different samples of uplighting colors, lighting effects, etc that really brought our vision to life and more. It was great to see what we could expect our ceremony and reception halls were going to look like. The type of service we received from Beverly is what really put things over the top. She and her team went above and beyond what we were expecting. My wife was very pleased with the way the ceremony and reception halls turned out. Beverly does great work, but the personal touch in the way she serves her clients is the big reason I would work with her again. I definitely recommend Especially Yours to anyone and everyone. My husband and I met Beverly at a wedding fair in Walnut Creek a year prior to our wedding date. Beverly was very professional and friendly, and she quoted a more reasonable price to rent chivary chairs than other vendors in the bay area. The chairs were delivered on time and picked up shortly after the reception was over. Cushions for the chairs were white and clean. We rented silver chivary chairs, and they helped pull all of our wedding colors (purple, lavender and silver) together at the reception. Our guests commented how beautiful our wedding and reception were, and I believe that silver chivary chairs added class to the ambiance. read more

A REAL BRIDE'S REVIEW (not friends of the owner) Event: Wedding & Reception, 250 Guests Venue: The Claremont Resort & Spa Date: November 11, 2011 This vendor gave me the most stress. I cannot honestly give Beverly a 5 star review. Her personality is great. She is a friendly person, but her ability to communicate well with a client is severely lacking. When I first attempted to make contact with her, after being referred to her by the Claremont Resort and Spa as a preferred vendor, I had an extremely hard time getting in contact with her. I left messages and emails, and no response. It wasn't until I threatened to move on to another vendor, that I got a response from her. That was the first RED FLAG. On our first initial meeting at the Claremont, she was an hour late arriving. Our original meeting time was 1pm on August 8th, confirmed in an email on June 17th. She emailed me on August 6th to ask if we were still meeting at 10am? Since I replied from my phone, I confirmed that we were meeting on Monday, and that the original time was for 1pm, but earlier was fine. I inadvertently put 10:30 as the time, not 10am. So I got there early to meet with her. At 10:30, she called me to tell me she was running late from the city, but that she was about 15 minutes away. She finally arrived at the Claremont at 11:30am. After doing a walk through and discussing the things I wanted to do we discussed extras things. I informed her, I was thinking about a gobo light and she said, Oh let me put you in touch with my guy. He's got great pricing, I'll shoot him and email and we'll go from there. Sounded Great!! I also told her I want to do a little piping and draping around the door. She said "Oh I can do that. " My response was Great!! That makes this easier than having to deal with lots of vendors. Several hours later, she sent me an email forward from her lighting person, who just gave me a number and nothing else. I emailed back, asking for a full proposal. I never got it. I went back and forth with her and her person, several times, saying I wasn't going to give money without a proposal. Again, it never came. Moving on, In November, Beverly sent an email asking us for the final numbers. So I sent it back to her, and asked her to get back to me on the draping. I sent her a picture of the draping and what I wanted to do. No response. After the second or third email during her posted business hours, she responded at 10pm to inform me that it was after hours, and that she doesn't reply to emails this late. In this late reply she informed me that she would get a quote for me for the piping and draping. A QUOTE!! To my surprise she informs me, 1 week before the wedding that she doesn't do the piping and draping. The next day over the phone, she informs me that she meant, she was going to refer me to someone she knows. However the only person she referred me to was the lighting guy, who never sent a proposal. When someone tells me they can do something, I don't interpret that to mean a referral to someone else. Highly upset, she asked me to calm down, and even said, "Girlfriend, wow, there are some issues here. We can work this out". I am not your girlfriend. I'm a client. An upset client. Stuck with her for the chairs, I moved on, without the piping and draping at the very last minute. The day of the wedding, the chairs arrived early!! Thank God for that, but upon further inspection, some of the chair cushions weren't ivory, they were more of a dirty ivory almost tan color. Some of the cushions were a bit tattered as well. For $1800 I just expected her very best. The chairs were beautiful, but it wasn't just my eye that caught the color distortion. While my personal experience with her deserves 1 star, based on overall completion of our contract for chairs, I give her 3 stars. Based on the Yelp ratings available I give her 2 stars-Meh. Friends and I recently attended the White Party, hosted by Le Diner in San Francisco in Golden Gate Park. With over 40 friends attending, renting folding chairs was the way to go. We found Especially Yours on Yelp. They were efficient, has great prices and I would highly recommend anyone in San Francisco use needs Chairs to go with them. $2.75each was not bad at all.
