This was done a week prior to the appointment. 2 days prior to the appointment, the salon called to say the stylist will be out for the week, and no one else can do that hairstyle. So they were canceling the appointment, leaving my niece in a bind to call other salons during a weekend. Really, a staff that will be out for a week did not give advanced notice? Like they just decide to take off? Or perhaps she only has that one client for the day and decided that it's not worth it to come in? Who knows? But despite the talent we will not be calling again.

It is the most ghetto experience I've had in all of my days. 1st - They are not clean. The combs/brushes/curlers/pins they use are filthy and probably never see disinfectant at all, ever never! 2nd - They are not the friendliest. 3rd - They have kids there (including a baby under 2) screaming, running around, using the products and tools and acting like they were raised by wolves. 4th - They yell more than they talk 5th - One of the girls, the youngest one is super lazy and unfriendly and over it. Her attitude is gross. Basically they run the place with NO sense of professionalism or class at all. It is mind blowing and sad. The owner my hairdresser is my go to, she truly understand how I like my hair done no matter how picky I am she maintains my hair and has been doing it for over a year my hair has never looked healthier. I used to go here for years. Ultimately stopped because it was so chaotic. A basic root touch up…read morewould take 3 hours because they would triple and quadruple books clients. Dye would be haphazardly slapped on, the process would take far longer than necessary and I'd routinely leave the salon with dye stains all over my forehead and temples. It's so convenient for me and a only a block away from where I live but I finally had to go somewhere else because it was stressful, took forever and for the price, I realized I could do much better. Needed an option for makeup and decided to give them a chance for a "just eyes" service. There was one stylist there when I arrived who was completing hair on someone and ran 20 min late. Not a huge deal. When she finally got to me, her next client came in about 5 minutes later and I was concerned she'd rush or I wouldn't be satisfied with the makeup. It ended up being alright, not really what I asked for but better than I was expecting. I booked the service with the intention to get individual lashes, which is included in the price. When we got to that, the artist said- what do you think? You don't really need them since it's a daytime party. Between that and the obvious time crunch, I decided on the spot (under pressure) that it wasn't worth it and would probably be rushed or done poorly so I said fine, no need to do those but regretted not speaking up. I was surprised to be charged the full price even though I didn't get lashes and contacted the salon to share the experience and to see what could be done (nothing). Too many salons in Hoboken, JC and Manhattan to deal with this.
