Last year, I was looking for a salon because I wanted to give my hair a much needed makeover. Usually I am very picky with hair salons and never really found one I really loved before I found this place. I read the great reviews and thought I should give this place a shot. Jankee wound up doing my hair and it came out absolutely stunning!!!! This year I wanted another new style and went back a few days ago, Jankee did my hair once again and it came out perfect once again! She is the reason I adore this place. First off she ALWAYS listens to what you want and does not hesitate to give you her own advice. She is also not scissor happy which is huge in my book. She tells you exactly how much she is going to take off and sticks with that length. The salon is in a great location as well and is very clean. I came here based on the reviews to get a birthday cut & color and I'm am SO glad that I did. Not only is the location super close to my new home, but Beatrice is so talented!! It's so nice having talented people on Park Ave! I wanted to get a trim and a rose gold color, the color didn't come out quite a rose gold, but it is still so beautiful that I'm totally happy with it. They said I could come back and get the rose gold added, but the color is so pretty, that I may try the rose gold next time. I'm so excited that I finally have a hair salon that's super close. Jankee is a great hair stylist and is honest about what will look good and what might be best for your hair. I'm pretty open to whatever happens with my hair and I know I'm in good hands with her. She fixed my color when my hair turned green (my own fault). She fit me in the schedule since I was getting married in a couple of weeks when that happened. This review is a little late but I've been meaning to write a great review for this place. I had my hair cut here in late August and I loved it! I went from a medium/long length to a short bob and Jankee did an amazing job! She was super friendly and knew exactly what I wanted. It's been months and my hair still looks great. I used to live in the city and was so sick of city prices ($125 for a simple haircut), so I am so happy I found a place that is reasonable. I am sometimes a very indecisive person about my hair and sometimes I'll go in with only a very basic idea of what I want, and Jankee will recommend something always with the promise of "if you don't like it, come back in and we'll fix it." I have never had to take her up on that because I've always loved the finished product. My roommate last year had a bad cut at her regular salon in Hoboken and wanted to look for a new place--I sent her here. She had the same experience: exactly what she asked for, with a promise of fixing anything that wasn't right and not needing anything fixed because it was a great cut. Went in today for the first time for a blow out. I have naturally wavy/curly/mixed textured hair that takes forever to blow dry. The stylist even commented that my hair holds water. That being said, she did the wash and style in RECORD TIME for me. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and my hair looks amazing! Bella Vista is amazing. I have been twice now, and each time I had an appointment with the owner, Jankee, who is a miracle worker with my super-straight, extremely-fine hair. The first time I made a hair donation, and Jankee was incredible in taking my hair from an unwieldy, over-long mess to an adorable and stylish bob. The best part? The cut was SO GOOD that I could still make it look great at home (despite my subpar styling skills), and it even GREW OUT cute! I returned to Jankee for a second cut a few months later, and it's just as nice as the first. Both times, I got an appointment within a day of when I called, and the price was very reasonable (especially after paying crazy Manhattan prices for years for much, much less service). Finally, the salon itself is very chic, always smells great, and has a boutique-y feel, making the experience almost spa-like. I had my hair cut and highlights done this week, and I'm really happy with the entire experience, and I will definitely go back. Jackie is super friendly, engaging and a real pro. It's so nice to feel like you can give up control to someone who has the maturity and professional chops to take the little bit of guidance/suggestion that I gave her and just run with it. I went in with shoulder length hair and came out with a pretty short cut, and I'm thrilled with it. Jackie gave me some very practical advise and styling hints and for the first time in a long time, styling my hair myself doesn't look too bad. Nice clean salon, plenty of room, great tunes playing and a really warm vibe. I was in and out of there in about two hours, which is pretty much a record for me when I get highlights done. There are cheaper places to go, and I've been to a number of them.
