I work next door at Mavis tires and my glasses broke while working, I called over asked if they had any availability. They said to come right in! I went over and they helped my right away, fixed my glass and got me back to work !! read more

Truth BE Told...Staff was nice. Dr Black ok. I don't have terrible eye sight but needing glasses as aging goes. Waiting two weeks was not OK with me, left with no choice I order the glasses $400. They should have a one hour wait system in place being that we are in the year 2025. Anyways, went back a second time for new glasses $600 again. Distant glasses are somewhat OK but reading to computer glasses are really what I needed. After the 2 weeks of using they were causing more blurriness than without them. So I called to tell them about my situation and they said to drop glasses off for to check on them. I told them to note my account as I live 45min away and getting there was difficult. That was back in March. August 20, 2025 I was finally able to stop by and was told there was nothing wrong with my glasses and that even if there was I was out of the 60 day return period. I told her that I did call and ask for the account to be noted. No notes found, She talked to a manager and the doctor and I was told Sorry, I had to pay again to correct the lenses. Est was another $500. What a scam business. STAY far away from this Eye Center. I will definitely search for another place to go. Shame on this establishment. read more

when I went to pick up my glasses I told the lady helping me that I could not read through the bottom. She did not believe me and said I was just gonna have to get used to them. I tried several other times, she finally took the glasses to the back, came up front and said they were made wrong . I had to make another appointment to pick them back up, they canceled several times, by the time I got back in I felt the prescription it self was off. Talked to Dr Black about Contacts as an option and told me my eyesight was too bad for contacts. Made a follow up appointment with Dr. Laudicina.When I told him what Dr. Black said about the contacts he said that he could put me in contacts but he would have to train my eyes first. When I asked him why Dr. Black said contacts were not an option all he would say was, 'I'm not going to throw him under the bus,' when I asked him to check the previous notes he said there wasn't any from Dr. Black. I have gone to this office on and off for years due to insurance coverage. I found Drs and staff both dismissive, telling me 'the other place won't take your insurance.' At this point I'd rather pay out of pocket. read more

This office is by far the best eye doctor around. I had an absolute awesome experience from the minute I called to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was friendly and got me in right away at an accommodating time. When we arrived they took us right away and made the whole experience super easy. Not a minute was wasted. Dr. Black was very friendly and explained everything through the whole entire exam. Picking out glasses with super easy and the lady was accommodating to us. They called when the glasses were ready and I had no issues at all I highly highly recommend this place! read more

Eye exam and glasses 11 months ago. Purchased glasses full price. After 4 months arm fell off, took 5 days for repair. 2 months later arm fell off again, 2 weeks for replacement. Five months later, same arm feel off again!! This time was on vacation, very blurry vacation! They replaced glasses with different pair. 2 1/2 weeks for replacement. Suggested expediting order and was rudely denied. Went to finally pick up glasses and was rudely greeted by heavy set receptionist at seat left manning front desk. Horrible customer service. Stay away from this place, far better places in same general area! read more

Absolutely the most thorough and knowledgeable in the area!! I'm not an easy patient, I've been wearing glasses since 18months old and my eyes are terrible. Dr Brad has always been very in tune with my eyes unlike so many in the past. Today I had an emergency visit, not the greatest diagnosis, but the fact that he diagnosed another problem based on my eye condition simply amazed me. Thank you Dr Laudicinia!!! read more

My first experience with the Eye Center was there Manatee Ave location, then the Cortez location, and now the Parrish location. I've been pretty satisfied with the level of service I've received. Doctors are great, the staff is friendly, typically they are always able to schedule appointments at my convenience. What I like the most is that on my last visit I was in and out. read more

Called as a new patient wanting to set up an appointment. Receptionist asked what type of insurance I had. I read to her directly off of my vision insurance card. She tells me I'm reading off my medical card, even though the name of my insurance for vision has the word "vision" in it. She then asked me to call back when I figure it out and hangs up. I then call another eye center reading off the same insurance card, had no problem and set up an appointment within 2 minutes. Staff and practices may be great, but I would never know thanks to her. read more

Contacts were over $20 more per box than my previous Doctor. Had to try twice to get a complete copy of my prescription. My last try was three months after my exam, and at that time they claimed they "forgot" to charge me for a co-pay. Never billed for this and 3 months later because I call for a copy my prescription, they say I owe more? I was charged plenty IN ADDITION to what my insurance paid for--over $60 on the day of the exam and $45 when the contacts came in, so this doesn't make sense....or they need much sharper office personnel. read more
