I am truly upset and disappointed with our experience at Eye Doctors of Everett. This visit was for my child, and from start to finish it was extremely frustrating and stressful. Even with a scheduled appointment, we waited over 45 minutes, and the front desk staff was rude and dismissive instead of apologetic. When we finally saw the doctor, the appointment felt rushed and careless. I did not feel confident in the results at all, and I left worried that my child's prescription might not even be correct. When I immediately asked to cancel the glasses order the same day, I was flatly refused with no clear explanation. What made this even worse was the complete lack of communication afterward. I called multiple times the same day and again the next day, but no one answered the phone or returned my calls. As a parent, being ignored when you are concerned about your child's vision is unacceptable. This experience caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety. I trusted this clinic with my child's eye care and left feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply disappointed. I would never return and strongly warn other parents to look elsewhere. read more

You always have to ask them for information after the inspection. They never tell you anything, no recommendations, no comments. If you ask them something, they are reluctant to tell you. read more

My appointment was good however When it came to getting my glasses, I was not impressed. When I had my appointment, they ordered my glasses and told me they would arrive in 4 weeks. At week five (8/4) I called to get an update, and they told me it would take about 6 weeks (which was fine). I called again today (8/18) and asked if they had arrived, they told me they arrived 8/1. I was fine waiting, but I was kind of frustrated that they told me my glasses were not there when they were and didn't let me know via phone call or email that they were ready. read more

My glasses that I received here last fall were quickly damaged by the pup I was housesitting-I procrastinated bringing them in til the rubber piece that rests in the nose came off, so they were painful to wear. Spontaneously I stopped in to see if they could be repaired. I expected a wait or to have to leave them there-the person who adjust the glasses whisked them away and returned 15 or so minutes later. The Eye Doctor of Everett has mixed feelings about me... First off the Doctor is awesome explains and answering any question that you may have... in plain English that is not medical termed. Do NOT go to someone who GOOGLES YOUR SYMPTOMS!!!! My first and last experience coming to this place. I had a burning sensation in my left red eye and the Vietnamese doctor that checked me out was not making sense. I explained to him what was going on and he was rebutting back with what I had to say. I just had my lashes done (and for all the ladies who know how lashes get done), they do not numb your eyes prior to doing it. This doctor said they're supposed to numb it and the lash esthetician stabbed my eye when that is not the case because I would have felt it(it's my eye? I would feel everything). Then he started talking down about the lash esthetician when he's not focusing on the real problem, my eye. What's even worse? HE GOOGLED MY SYMPTOMS TWICE IN FRONT OF ME AND READ DESCRIPTIONS as if he didn't know what was going on!!!!! Not coming back for a follow up. Rather find another doctor. read more

My mother is 68 and an anti doctor kinda girl. This was very scary for her but her cataracts had gotten to be to much of a problem to ignore. They where wonderful and very kind. She can see again and can't believe she lived with that for so long.l read more

First time here. My experience checking my eyes and everything was great. They even fixed my current glasses because one of my screws fell off. When I went to buy new ones though, I felt rushed. Ordered new glasses, pretty expensive even with insurance. When I went to pick them up, I waited outside and was handed my glasses, rushed again, but he tightened them so much that I currently have irritation behind my ears still and this was months ago, I just wanted to be in and out and now I'll need to come back to get them adjusted and loosened. Also the logo on my glasses already came off a month after buying them. I've had better experience elsewhere buying new glasses. I got a call that my glasses were in this morning and I was told that I could come in anytime to pick them up so I came in this afternoon. When I called in to say I was there, I was told that I had to wait 15 minutes until the doctor could see me but then I ended up waiting almost an hour. I then called in to get an update on when I can be seen and they said that they can't tell me so I asked to book an appointment so I'm not standing there all day. I ask for an appointment and she said no appointments to pick up then I bring up that fact that I was told to come in anytime to pick up my glasses. I asked if that's not true then why say that and she said "I'm not going to answer you if you keep yelling at me", I wasn't yelling at her whatsoever. Finally after this one sided argument, she said 5pm and then hung up. Safe to say, I'll never be going here again. read more

tl; dr: if you don't want to get glasses there, be prepared to be judged if your prescription has issues at all. This is my first eye doctor since my relocation, and the doctor and the front desk staff were all very nice. Even though check-in is different due to COVID, it wasn't too much of an issue overall. I got a copy of my prescription and didn't get a pair of glasses knowing how much that would cost, and I can sense the disappointment from the man out front that we didn't decide to get glasses right there and then. I ordered my glasses online (and always has, without problems if prescription is correct) and with the new prescription I had planned to do the same, and found out that the PDs were not on the prescription and thought maybe I need a recheck because the glasses with the given prescription were making me feel dizzy and borderline nauseous. Front desk advised that I bring the glasses in to check, and we made an appointment in a few days in case I continue to feel the same with the new prescription. Up til this point, I still feel that everything is okay, but I guess the sense of disappointment of the said man had lasted, and I got dissed by him for ordering online and not letting my eyes get used to the prescription. I wore glasses for at least a decade before I got my LASIK, I think I know how adjustment works; but instead, the man had to give me the eye-rolling lecture of online glasses. Maybe he felt the need to belittle me for not letting him earn a commission? Again, everyone else was nice, but I'm not going back. read more

I used be a member at a large chain optometry for over 10 years and yet no one remembered my name and made me feel welcomed. I've been to Eye Doctors of Everett twice and the second time 3 out of 4 people there remembered my name and made me feel valued. I am a customer of Dr. Quang from a previous location and the level of service that he provides and professionalism and knowledge of his current and even new products is very impressive. I live in Renton - met Dr. Q when he worked at an office in south seattle - now that he has his own office in Everett, despite the 1 hour drive to see him, I still make the commute due to his impeccable service and product knowledge. After not getting my eyes checked for a lonnnnnng time, I was requested by a friend to come see the optometrist Quang Nguyen for my current eye problem. Went to get an update on my glasses and eye contacts. As soon as I got in, the location is decent and I was welcomed right away. There's a variety of frames to look at and when I got to see him, he was very kind and informative. I found out that I have an astigmatism in both eyes! And I wanted to see what my options were for colored contacts. I highly recommend going in to visit this location especially if you're in the area. Ask for quang :) he'll make you feel at ease. The other thing as well is you can call ahead of time, let them know what you're specifically wanting to do either an exam or like me updating my eye sight for work, and they'll take care of you just as they did for me. I love the selection and variety of eye wear here. Ive always been a fan of designer frames from Pearl Vision or Lens Crafter. After deciding to find a more permanent optometrist, I yelped and found Dr. Q. His office was very inviting and he had a huge selection of glasses. He didn't carry the typical designer frames I normally go for- Gucci, Pradas, etc so I was at first, disappointed. As I was browsing for different glasses, I saw some more unique styles that appealed to me. I was introduced to Silhouettes Eyewear by my coworker so when I saw this office carried them, I was totally excited. They are great because you can customize the frame and lens that best suit your face. The best part is that they are so light, I forget I even have them on! I picked a pair with the help of Ben and Patti who are trained to fit glasses on people. I didn't even know that's a thing because I never got that at those big box eye retailers. I received them in just few days! I put on my my new glasses and OMG! I finally knew how it felt to see in HD! Apparently the doctor put on some AR coating so it makes things super clear and bright. I have a pair of Guccis I got from a previous place and they are nothing compared to my new pair. Things aren't as clear through those lenses. Dr. Quang Nguyen is very knowledgeable and provides excellent service. His office is very clean and has a great selection of frames. Having near 20/20 vision, I rarely go in to see an optometrist. This has been my second visit in the past 10 years. The exam was thorough and efficient. The best part? He has a camera that takes a picture of your eyes, eliminating the need for dilation! I was informed that my eyes were overly dry and my pores were clogged. He asked how many hours a day I use a computer, because the blue light emitted from monitors can clog your pores and damage your eyes. At work alone, I'm in front of a computer at least 10 hours a day. Dr. Nguyen recommended that I should get Hoya AR lens coating to protect my eyes during computer use. He did a great job in assisting me while I was picking out a pair of frames. One of the frames I liked was a little too tall for my liking. He actually had the shorter version of the same exact pair of frames. Unfortunately I couldn't see at all through his glasses, so he went out of his way and took his lens out so I could see how they looked. I have been to several different eye doctors before and this one by far is my favorite. I was in need of a new prescription to better see the whiteboard from the back of the room. They were very accommodating and were able to see me the same day. When I arrived, the office was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. This was a great experience! We usually go to America's Best in Lynnwood but now that I have insurance I figured I could find someone closers home. The two ladies at the receptionist desk seemed a little overwhelmed when we walked in, both on the phone dealing with something. Other then that everything was amazing. Such a different experience then what we have been use to. Dr. Nguyen was so friendly and great with my 12 yr old. He even showed her the pictures they took of the inside of the eyeballs! Dr. Q gave me very thorough and detailed eye exam. I needed an eye exam right before my Japan trip and Dr. Q rush ordered my contact lenses so I can have them for my trip. Japan was in HD because of this and I greatly appreciated it. He also made a suggestion to switch the type of contact lens I used, from Oasis to Air Optics to solve my eye dryness at the end of the day. My eyes are a lot better now at the end of the work day. Dr. Quang and the staff was extremely in helping me figure out everything wrong with my eyes. I've been to many other eye doctors before to find out why my eyes are always dry but none were very helpful. Then came Dr. Quang and he was very attentive to the problem. He asked a bunch of questions, gave me the right contact lenses, provided some sample eye drops, and now my eyes feel better than ever. On top of that, he also recommended blue light reflective lenses for my glasses which helped out a lot in preventing strain from staring at a computer screen for too long. Check him out if you can. I had a great experience at Eye Doctors of Everett. Dr. Q and all his staff are friendly and professional. I have special eyes (according to me!) and Dr. Q took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I'm near-sighted with astigmatism, so I wear contacts during the day and glasses before bed. My contacts prescription is kind of odd because my left eye automatically shifts the contact axis. I ended up buying a year's supply with the wrong prescription on my own previously, so I voiced my concern to the doctor and he made sure to pay special attention to this detail. He clearly told me my actual prescription and explained the shifted prescription the office would purchase for me so I wouldn't make the same mistake. I also told him I had issues with my contacts drying out and he offered different sample brands for me to take home and try. For glasses my prescription is pretty intense so my current lenses are super thick. Dr. Q was helpful with this issue by suggesting plastic frames to make them less conspicuous. I avoided plastic before because I had concerns about the less flexible fit than metal and having them always slide down my nose. He noted styles that would work with my face shape and adjustments they could make to get the right fit. Afterwards I talked to the optician Patti and she was also really helpful in gathering together all the frames that matched the style I was looking for. Since I'm really picky, Dr. Q also recommended other brands they didn't currently carry, but matched what I was looking for and they could make arrangements for ordering in samples to the store for me to try on. While Dr. Q was examining my eyes and discussing my eyewear, I liked that he readily addressed potential improvements along the way that would make my eyes more comfortable. It sounds like he has talked with a lot of patients and has experience with all sorts of concerns. If you have a problem (or don't even know you have one!), he probably has a good solution. Eye Doctors of Everett is the place to go if you are looking for a fun, personable, and straightforward optometrist who is knowledgeable about eyeballs, eyewear, and all corresponding products. I have been a Police Office for more than 20-years. I am a firearms instructor and I have spent 17 years on SWAT, and the last 12 as a Sniper. I'm getting older, but I'm not ready to give up my SWAT days yet. However, in 2014 my rifle shooting was becoming subpar at 100 yards. In early 2017 I failed to qualify with my pistol at 25 yards. I also noticed I needed cheaters to read. I was embarrassed. I racked my brain trying to figure out what to do. My eyesight clearly wasn't what it used to be, and my sights were getting harder to use at distance. The sights and target were all becoming one big blur. Things were taking a turn here, and I was very worried my time as a SWAT guy may be coming to an end. I am on a large team, and our standards are high for good reason. At this point, I wasn't cutting it. I attempted to get eye surgery, thinking that would cure all my problems. They told me any surgical procedure would likely make my vision worse. I was panicked and searched for an eye Doctor that could help me. I went to other Doctors, but Dr. Quang Nguyen was the first Doctor that cared enough and recognized my struggles. I can't say enough kind words. From the quick appointment to the caring nature of all the staff and the commitment to help me. Dr. Nguyen was as committed to solving my problem as I was to staying on SWAT. He went to great lengths, sending me to the range with different combinations of contacts and glasses until we found what worked. I don't think he was going to give up until we found the combination that worked. Then Ben Decker took over. Ben studied exactly how my head and eyes were positioned and made sure my new glasses were optimized for the precision I needed. He was very informative and the equipment he used seemed far more advance than my previous eye doctors. Dr. Nguyen owns a family-friendly business. He examined my eyes and gave me great options on upgrades tailored to what I want and need. Love the HOYA Recharge coating on my lens! It really helps with eye fatigue since I stare at a computer screen all day at work. I'm very picky when it comes to my glass selections. I found another frame design I liked online and they switched it out with no questions or fees when the initial order was already being processed. I have zero patience for billing incompetence. I came in last week and was charged $90 which I paid in full. Had a follow-up today and they said, "oops, we didn't charge you enough last week, so you owe $180.00 today." Nicely done. So, I paid the additional money to settle the balance from last week, and walked out without having the follow-up done today because I didn't have an additional $90.00.
