I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to do so for Dr Godines. As a senior, I have been to many eye doctors but none have compared to Dr Godines. He is so pleasant, kind, understanding, professional, and very thorough. We drive from Leavenworth just to see him and he makes it well worth the time and effort and so appreciative as we are of him. I had been going to this doctor for years for eye exams and glasses. Certainly the woman who runs the office and who also helps you pick out glasses is outstanding. And the exam went fine, which is expected when you don't have any vision issues and it's very straightforward. But, the test of competency is when something goes wrong..... One year when I came in and when asked if there was any problems with my vision since the last exam, I said I was starting to notice one of my eyes went dark once in a while when I woke up. The vision would return shortly after, but it was concerning. Dr Godines inspected my eye, said he didn't see anything wrong, and wrote something down on a VERY small yellow sticky note and put it on top of other unrelated papers on the table. I thought that was really strange as I expected him to put in in my medical records for future follow up, but just convinced myself he would enter it later. Fast forward a year to my next exam - not only did he not bring it up, when I mentioned it was still happening, he still didn't discuss it as part of any follow-up from last year and also still dismissed it. The next year I decided to see a different provider, and when I mentioned the issue I watched him enter it in my medical records, he talked to me about how we were going to monitor, he would do some research and that I should come back in immediately if the frequency and/or duration of events changed. The next year when I went in for an exam, he asked me about it - not because he remembered, but because it was in my records as a watch item - like any doctor should do. So far, there is no action to take todo since the issue is so infrequent and temporary, but it's still comforting to be asked about it. Optometrists get paid good money to mostly perform routine exams, and for one to completely dismiss something that is not typical has made me distrust this entire industry. read more

She answered all of my questions and was very efficient throughout the entire process. Although they have numerous frames of all colors & styles, I preferred a pair on their website that needed to be special ordered. No problem; Morrisa expedited my request. I called yesterday to ask for my prescription ot be emailed to me and heard nothing back so today I was simply following up and almost immediately you took a smarmy tone of voice and copped an attitude even when I told you I wasn't trying to give you a hard time and that I was just trying to understand. Then when you said I "needed to get the prescription from the original doctor. Why is that so hard for you?" I was floored at your lack of respect for a CURRENT CUSTOMER and terrible attitude. As someone who has worked in customer service roles for over 20 years I can tell you that your attitude is uncalled for, unappreciated and will ultimately cost EyeCon business if it hasn't already. Eyecon Optometry did a great job on my eye exam and my eye glasses. I came here because they had a low price of $159 for both comprehensive eye exam and contacts fitting which beat all the other eyeglass shops near Everett. I've called around and almost every store charges $200+ for both of them combined if you do not have insurance. I was also fascinated with their ovvo lenses that I bought one myself. Just to give you a rough estimate, they're about $350 a frame. read more

I need to make sure that a place like the medical facility gives the care I need, even if it costs more than just going to chain branches like (Wal-Mart or Costco or etc). This place is near my place and had great yelp review so I decided to take my father here because he kept on breaking his glasses. And the price was, of course, a little higher than average but SO worth it. They offered a different type of eye exams for my father and he loved the work! He said he didn't even know that his old glasses didn't have the right Rx for him. And as for me, I went in for my first contact lens eye exam. They were taking their time to teach me how to put in and out the lenses before me purchasing any and made sure they worked out for my eye size. I am going back next week to recheck how I am doing with my practice lenses and I can't wait to get my Rx contact lenses! EEP! Thank you for all of your work guys :) read more

I had an appointment here about 2 weeks ago. They said that I would be paying $150 for the exam and then some contacts. I called at the end of last week to confirm this and they told me that I would be getting those contacts in on Monday or Tuesday and to watch for call from them. I just called them today and now they are telling me that I did not pay for contacts, but rather the exam and a contact evaluation. Don't say "contacts" if you mean "contact evaluation". They gave me an eyeglass prescription rather than a contacts prescription, which is the whole reason I came in and what they were examining my eyes for. What a terrible first visit. This place is absolutely terrible. read more

This was my first visit with Dr Godines and the team at Eyecon. I will definitely be back. They took the time to explain the results of my eye tests and details of my prescription. Then, even the Dr came out to help me find the perfect frames! The technology they have is top notch. I was able to see a map of my retina (so interesting!) and they have a machine that helps measure your glasses for a perfect fit. I can't wait to get my frames back! read more

I am so impressed with this place! I have a severe astigmatism in my left eye and astigmatism in my right and I'm as blind as a bat. Contacts are generally harder for me to find and I like to experiment with colored contacts & not many companies offer Toric lenses so I was looking to update my prescription and convert it to a spherical lens so I could actually ordered colored contacts (aware they wouldn't be my perfect prescription). I called no joke about 15 different eye doctors in the Lynnwood/Greater Seattle area and none of them were able to get me in the same day. Eyecon was able to get me in same day and they were cheapest for an exam considering I don't have insurance ($95 for glasses and 40$ more for contact fitting) when most other places wanted 150$ just for a glasses fitting. I was ecstatic. I was 5 mins late due to traffic and having a hard time finding it in the plaza but it's right next to Sbux in the same parking lot as Menchies/Five Guys (yum!!) and they were super sweet and not rude at all. Eyecon is very beautiful, modern and super clean and gorgeous on the inside. Dr. Godine was such a sweetheart and he didn't feel like a typical "sterile" Eye Dr - he was very warm and had a great personality & sense of humor. I explained what I wanted in terms of color contacts & even told him about the colored lenses I usually order and he was very helpful and informative. He even got me a bunch of trial colored lenses and took the time to explain my 3 different prescriptions he wrote up for me. I was also there for a new pair of glasses and he was so helpful in finding me a pair - I even told him I wanted "Hipster" glasses (lol) and took about 30 mins trying on tons of different pairs and he was super helpful and informative. Basically I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend and not in a Dr's office and that is such a big deal to me. Dr. Godines and his amazing staff were exactly what I was looking for for both myself and my son. I am a public school educator and had to switch optometrists. I was looking for a group of professionals who would take the time to help me make decisions regarding my glasses and contacts as well as provide excellent eye care health supports. Dr. Godines did both. His care and humor made me feel incredibly comfortable as did Marissa, the Office Manager, and his assistant (sadly, I don't remember her name). I needed a new Optometrist after moving to the area, I searched Yelp (of course) and found Eyecon ans another place in Edmonds (they were booked until Dec or January). I called Eyecon and got an appointment for the next day, Dr. G was very knowledgeable, thorough, and nice. The office was clean and bright. They were also able to take digital pictures of my eyes which is important if you have any sort of eye condition/issue that needs monitoring. I would definitely recommend this place and that is coming from someone who worked for an Optometrist for 5+ years. The only tiny thing that seemed odd was the fact that the Dr. was answering the phones and scheduling the appointments, I actually kind of like the direct contact with the Dr. but as a woman I hope the male Dr. also answers the phones, just sayin'. I had a great experience at Eyecon - it was my first time visiting and Dr. Godines was awesome. He walked me through everything and provided me samples of contact lenses I wanted to try, and even some free sample sizes of contact solution. He helped me get the best deal out of my vision insurance and even gave his thoughts on glasses. I think I waited about a week before my glasses were ready, which was quick! Dr. Godines is a wonderful optometrist! I'm so glad I found him through Yelp! He was very thorough in the exams we did and very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. After the exam we discussed various options such as contacts and checking for glaucoma and he gave me his honest opinion on next steps should I choose to do so. The office is very bright and inviting and he has a great selection of frames, should you choose to purchase your new glasses from him. I didn't have insurance that he takes (Medicaid), but the exam price was much more reasonable than other optometrists I've visited when I didn't have insurance. Another big plus there! If you're looking for a new optometrist and happen to live in the Lynnwood area or surrounds, I highly recommend checking Eyecon and Dr. Godines out. You'll be as pleased as I was. read more

My eye was feeling irritated all week and was getting worse. I called in last minute and Dr. Godine was still able to see me. He was a total life saver cuz I was heading out of town for a few days and didn't want to deal with going to a Dr.'s appointment in a different city. With the medical plan year ending, it was time to get glasses and contacts again before ye ole FSA ran out. Seeing my wife and I live right around the corner, we decided to pop in. Not only are they warm and friendly and patient, but they took their time with us in helping my wife try out contacts and in picking out the perfect frames. And they had all of the right information for our insurance. And this was on a Saturday where they stayed over 2 hours working with us, even past their posted closing time! And simply put, my wife probably tried over half the frames on the store, all the while they were patient, giving great feedback, and helping her pick out the perfect pair. Even better is that the service wasn't a fluke! I got my call on Monday like promised with an update on my contact coverage on my plan, and they squeezed me in for a late appointment that ran past their closing time again! All the while, they were gracious and courteous, warm and friendly. And with their state of the art technology, they make the experience exciting and fun! If you hate going to the eye doctor for the yearly exam, I'd say think again and check them out! I honestly wish there was a way to rate higher than 5 stars because it's been a long time since I've had service like that. read more

This was one of the best Optometry experiences I've had to date. Not that it's a HUGE disappointment but I find most Optometrists to be pretty dull and walk in expecting to be shuffled along like the eyeball cattle that I am. Dr. Godines wasn't at all that way. He had a great personality, seemed to really care about my specific eye situation, and didn't make me feel like I was just another person in line for his services. It was really refreshing. Unexpected great experience! I needed to update my prescription and called around. Eyecon was the cheapest for an exam, so I didn't develop any expectations. I showed up early for my appt with Zdravka, one of the owners. Minutes after showing up, I already felt like I was visiting the home of a long time friend. She was just so enthusiastic and seemed happy to be there and proud of her business. Office was clean and welcoming, equipment was new and modern. I never felt rushed or like I was "just another patient". I mentioned I used to wear contacts, and she motivated me to try them again and set me up with a free pair of monthly trials, solution, eyedrops, and a case for my glasses. She told me to toss the contacts if they are at all uncomfortable. She ordered trials of disposables which are due this week. No pressure to buy them she just wants me to see if I like them. She also said my current glasses are fine even though my prescription changed a little bit. She said if I want to get sunglasses she'd be happy to order them, but made no pressure to buy anything at all. But given the experience she's cultivated, I would be more than happy to give them the business if I found frames I like. I guess we are used to encountering businesses run by someone that just does the bare minimum, or follows the same formulas to where there is no personality, so much that we get surprised by someone who's happy and excited to do their job, and knows what they are doing. An experience like this says a lot more about what we can't see. Since I'm not an optometrist, I don't know if everything is done or evaluated correctly, so I'm happy to have other evidence that points to my doctor being on top of things, thorough, and caring. When I walked out the door I felt a very strong sense of confidence that this was a good pick for a doctor, so much that I decided to write this review. So there you go, see for yourself!. read more

When I moved from Kent, I didn't think that I'd be able to find an optometry clinic that was as wonderful as I Care Optical in Kent and Dr. Lim. I moved EVERY other health care needs of mine to Everett Clinic but I knew I wanted to find a separate Optical office. I'm been extremely impressed with the kindness, friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism at Eyecon Optometry! I appreciate the fact that I feel I am working WITH Dr. Godines in deciding what best fits my needs and budget during an exam and while selecting glasses getting expert advice from the staff. I generally try to stay within what my insurance offers to pay for my glasses and lenses, but I chose to spend more on my latest pair of glasses because I felt comfortable doing so. They are easy to do business with, are always up to date on the school district vision insurance limits (I'm a teacher) and I can always make an appointment at convenient times. After my regular optometrist retired, I looked on Yelp for my next eye doctor and chose Eyecon because of the high reviews and convenient location. I am extremely pleased with the experience! Dr. G just helped me figure out a very complex eye wear strategy, which included transitioning from gas permeable to soft contacts, figuring out the right combination of correction for contacts (for close-up: reading, computer, 1:1 conversations, and the music on my stand...) and glasses (on top of contacts, for distance: driving, shopping, movies), and balancing my right and left eyes which have different prescriptions (and one has astigmatism!). Dr. G was so patient and helpful - I had to go back a couple times until my corneas stabilized, which I guess is typical when you stop wearing RGPs. We tried out various options and she explained everything clearly until we settled on a combination that works great. My new contacts are extremely comfortable (so happy to get rid of the RGPs!) and my vision is great. They also have a very good selection of stylish frames....finally glasses I won't be embarrassed to wear outside of my car. :-) read more

I had my second check up here today. After many years with my previous optometrist he retired, I had one visit with the person who bought his practice but I wasn't impressed. The optometrist who took over had a staff that specialized in hard sell techniques, I felt very uncomfortable. I wanted an office that was convenient for me and one that had the latest in technology. I found Eyecon online read reviews and made an appointment. Dr. Godines is very personable and professional, I felt comfortable right away so I sent my husband in for his exam too. Between the two of us we have been to the office for four exams including ordering contacts and eyewear. I highly recommend Dr. Godines and Eyecon optometry, we will be getting our eye care here for many years to come. read more

I did not have a good experience with this store. I bought my glasses right before the pandemic started, but I could not see clearly thru them. The store had them re-made, but once again I could not see. I was asked to have a visit with their Doctor, but due to the pandemic I could not return to the store, so at that time I called and explained that I would only be able to return to the store until it was safer (note that the person with whom I talked did not say this would be a problem). Now I am fully vaccinated and returned to the store to resolve the issue. I was told that I waited too long and there is nothing they can do to help. I understand it's been a long time and the insurance might not allow the glasses to be re-made, but I would have expected the store to make some allowance due to the situation which is out of anyone's control, or at least meet me half way and offer a discount or some other form of help since the glasses I purchased at full price are unusable. Needless to say I will not return to this store and I would not recommend it to anyone else. read more

Such a wonderful experience here. After a horrible experience with alderwood optical we came to eyecon looking for a pair of glasses. We went in and were given kind, accommodating, service. They picked out multiple frames that would fit my husband's prescription and found us a wonderful Calvin klein frame that was on sale for a steal!!
