He never mentioned my dry eye issue which I've had 30+ years. I had to bring it up after my 1st cataract Sx. He looked & said oh yes, you have dry eye. So far no change in vision & 2nd Sx in the a.m. Not sure this was the right place to go to. This place seems like a factory, bring them in, get them out. Actually, the person that called me today said we need to get you in & out ASAP. No regard to my vision for driving. I must admit that the staff for the most part is pleasant (a few exceptions). A long time ago a different doctor prescribed m antibiotics. I asked if it was necessary... he said "Not at all, but if I don't prescribe medicine my patients don't think I am doing my job." Terrible customer service! I had a contact exam and they emailed me an eyeglass prescription. I…read morehave never had an eye care place not send me both prescriptions. When I called three times while waiting for them to email or fax my prescription they kept sending me the eyeglass prescription. I did try to call back a fourth time to get the right prescription and they have now blocked my number to go directly to voice mail. I left a message and emailed the manager Dawn and they failed to respond. I called on a different number and the receptionist did answer the call, so they definitely set my number to go to voice mail. She was able to get me the right prescription for my contacts. How hard is it to send both prescriptions?? I paid extra to be fitted for contacts and then you can't send the prescription. Very unprofessional!!! I would not do business with this eye practice.

The reviews that I read…read morewent back 2 years ago and it's a shame that things have gotten worse.I was very excited after buying my " Meta Ray Bans Glasses". So, I enter this particular Lens Crafters on October 31, 2025, yeah I know " Halloween " spooky, with my new glasses. I talk with a female sales representative, and I explained to her, that I purchased these glasses and I want to have prescription lenses installed. This was her response " since you did not purchase them from us we can't change the lenses, because they may get damaged." So, I explained to her that I went to the Ray Ban website and it has Lens Crafters as a store that can perform the replacement. Long story short, I didn't get my lenses changed there. So, the next day I went back online and noticed that there is a Lens Crafters in the Augusta Mall, so I called first and talked with a sales representative and explained what I had and the sales rep said "yes bring the glasses in and we can take care of them. " I have not got the glasses back yet, but I feel a lot better than the day I walked into the Lens Crafters store in Aiken SC.

I was also informed that have a lot of issues with communication from Dr. Wu's office staff. I personally had to go back and forth through out the span of an entire day, with Dr. Wu's staff and the specialist office to ensure my referral information was sent. I waited for another week and a half and did not hear back so I called the specialist office for an update to be informed my referral was denied and sent back to Dr. Wu's office and they should have contacted me. I was not contacted by anyone. I went that day to speak with Dr. Wu, who just as before was extremely kind and took time to speak to me without an appointment- although her staff seemed bothered by my "walk in". Dr. Wu asked a staff member to get in touch with the retina specialist office. I asked if I would be contacted and was told yes, however that was two weeks ago and I have not heard a thing. I've tried calling Dr. Wu's office but have not been successful in speaking with someone. At this point I will be obtaining my records to find a different provider, which is very unfortunate seeing how much I enjoyed my initial visit.

5 minutes ago New The…read moreappointment was scheduled for 7:15 which is when they open.At 7:15 staff was just showing up to the office. There were over 15 people waiting outside the door for the building to be opened. Many of them were elderly or handicapped with very limited out side seating. Thankfully the weather was good. Once in you stood in a line to check in. There was no order as to who checked in first. I was the 3rd to arrive since I arrived the standard 15-20 minutes before my appointment but about the 15th to be checked in. The staff was friendly and seemed professional and organized. My problem was with Dr Smith. I felt that he was condescending and not very patient. He was using a very bright light to look into my eyes. There was no forewarning or suggestions on how I was to do this. It was a very hard task for me. I apologized repeatedly. Dr Smith said to me " If you can't look into the light how do you expect us to do the surgery?" I felt like as a failure as he failed to understand how difficult this was for me. He showed no compassion and I felt like I was wasting his time. I try hard to follow instructions and felt very upset when I left his office. Possibly Dr Smith could have given me instructions to make this process easier. He does it everyday ... me once in my lifetime. I will be looking for someone more compassionate to do my surgery ... that I will be paying for.
