From no brows to "Wow, BROWS!!" I grew up with very faint eyebrows. I would have to shade them in everyday and sometimes they don't match. Lol. I went to Hien for an eyebrow wax/tint and she recommended an eyebrow lamination as well. Unsure of what it was, Hien thoroughly explained the process and the expected outcome. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and walked me through each step. Eyebrow wax, tint and lamination took about 1 hour and 15 minutes with consultation. I absolutely loved my experience here with Hien! She is so sweet and friendly. It was my first experience getting last extensions and she made me feel so comfortable. She walked me through each step as she was doing it on my lashes and made sure that I was comfortable !!! There was relaxing music playing in the background the entire time. it was very relaxing I took a nice nap ; the whole process took about 2 hours because apparently i have a lot of lashes! I absolutely love this place! My first appointment was for a "one time lash extension" for family pictures... a year later and I'm still going! I just love my lashes so much, I want to keep them forever! Everyone is always so nice and real - it's just a super comfortable environment. I normally have my lashes done by Inna and I absolutely adore her! She does such a great job and is so gentle. It's a little scary at first having someone so close to your eyes, but now I don't even think about. It sounds weird, but it's actually relaxing, she's so gentle. I have also had my lashes done by Hien and Heather and they all do an amazing job and are gentle! I believe Hien really holds her staff to a high standard, so I am comfortable seeing anyone that works there. They always work with me to get me an appointment that works. The business is clean and the tables you lay on are so comfy that I fall asleep almost every time now. My lashes always look amazing- I've done hybrid, classic, had an "open eye" technique and a "cat eye"... loved them all. They are also very quick without sacrificing quality, so it's not like you're there for half a day getting lashes. And I feel their prices are really reasonable, especially considering the location. I also just recently had my brows tattooed with the powder brow technique by Hien. I love them! Hien took her time measuring my brows and making sure they were perfect. She used several different methods of measurement to ensure accuracy and showed me everything along the way. She also gives you an aftercare bag that has all the instructions and stuff you need to care for the brows. It is a tattoo, so yes it's uncomfortable, but she's very gentle and checked in frequently to make sure I was okay. I came in tonight, December 30, for a 3:30 pm appointment with Kaili. Mind you, this is my very first time doing eyelash extensions. So I was really nervous about it. As soon as I get to the establishment, the door is locked, so I had to call. As I walk in, there's no hello or anything. I finally talk to Kaili and I tell her that I have an appointment at 3:30 and that this is my first time doing eyelash extensions. She seemed shocked and disgusted that it was my first time. So I tell her the type of extensions I'm looking for. But I also ask her what she recommends, depending on my eye shape, etc. because I'm sure she has way more experience than me. And again, the website states that there will be consultation before the appointment begins. But she was very short with me. Very very short. Didn't really ask any further questions, seemed annoyed, and I asked her how long her lashes were, she had to ask the owner. It's like I was doing all the talking and asking. And her answers were very short and close ended. She wasn't trying to get to know me as a client. At this point, I'm getting frustrated because this is my FIRST time like, I should feel comfortable and relaxed that I'm in good hands. No recommendations, nothing. So finally we get to the bed, I just lay there and I never got a confirmation on what we both agreed on to do to my lashes. Like, I'm paying a lot of my money, and they're being done on my lashes, it's my first time, so I'm nervous. But I know nothing on what's going on. She also DOES NOT wash her hands before applying the patches under my eyes!!! She was drinking a Chick-Fil-A drink before I came in, so her hands smelled like fries and the drink. SO GROSS and SO UNSANITARY!!! Her unwashed hands were getting near my eyes, somewhere really sensitive. I was going to say something, but she finally put on hand sanitizer. But still, that's really gross and that is something you should do beforehand, especially with a process like this. She should know better. No excuses on that. But I just felt like I couldn't speak my mind because it seemed like everything I was asking her was so annoying to her, she was so short with me. When I should not feel like that. So I HAD TO confirm and ask her myself, "so what're we doing with my lashes?" She's not telling me anything. I had to ask and she answers with short answers. At this point I'm getting beyond frustrated, like why is she treating me like this? I'm paying my money to be there, I shouldn't feel like this. It's 5 o'clock at this point, and she finally shows my lashes. I hate it. It was uneven, way too fluffy and curly, too long, and spaced out unevenly and gaps on the lash line. It should look clean, dense enough, and even. I was not happy. I told her my concern and says, "well, you're telling me two different things." Annoyed again. She's practically telling me I didn't really communicate with her on what I wanted the first time, and now I'm telling her something else. Well, if you could HELP ME OUT when I first came here and recommended something, like that's also your job, to help recommend on what looks good on my eye shape, etc. I don't care if it's my first time doing extensions, I've worn fake lashes before, so I know the style I'm going for, the length, and the color. And if it's uneven, crooked, not lined up, too long or too short, anyone would know it doesn't look good. So I didn't like it and asked her to fix it. She just looked annoyed at this point. And she told me, "well, can you lay down, cause I have another appointment coming." And it was 5 o'clock right now. On the website it said, it will take 2 hours for the volume classic set. So I told her, "well, my appointment should be done at 5:30. I came in at 3:30." I don't care if you have another appointment, my lashes are not right. So I lay down again, and AGAIN, she doesn't communicate with me on HOW she's going to fix it. I asked her if she could trim it or make it shorter, she said, "I don't know how to do that, but I can check." Never did. If you can't, fine. But again, this is my first time so I have no idea how anything works with extensions. Again, she doesn't let me know how she's going to fix it. I have to ask. Finally she's done. It's better than before, but not what I was going for. She has me hold the fan to dry it. Tells me I can take as long as I want and then asks for it back because she has to take the next person, in such a rude tone. I have to also ask her about the aftercare. I HAVE TO. You can't even tell me that?! Ridiculous. I asked all the questions, she was showing me how to clean it, but behind me. I couldn't even see her, so I asked her again, and she seemed annoyed and said, "however you want to." Isn't it common sense to show a person in front of them?! I've been getting my lashes done by Hien for a few months now and I have absolutely no complaints. I actually get many many compliments around town about how great my lashes look. Hands down the best. The spa is located in South Tampa and its so cute and relaxing there that I usually end up taking a little cat nap while she makes me pretty. The space is located in a spa where you're brought to a private space where there are pillows and blankets, so you're as comfy as possible; You'll feel like you're in a dream. Can I rate 10 stars out of 5?? This review is so so so long overdue! I am a transplant from Maryland and had to find all of my beauty places again and we all know how much of a pain that is. I had hair, nails, but needed a lash extension guru. I found Hien through her highly rated reviews and I am so glad I did because I have been to her for maintenance of my beautiful lashes for 4 times now and 5th time tomorrow. I started out with Hybrid because I wanted an every day natural look for my asian eyes. I loved them! But then I got obsessed and Hien tried more lashes and fans on me for a wedding I was attending and essentially did a Volume but charged me for a Hybrid (I didn't know that this was the case when I checked out that time)! She told me at the following refill that she tried Volume on me and since I liked it for daily wear that we can continue it and I was obviously embarrassed I didn't pay her for her fair work and she refused to accept my payment lol! Seriously, she is amazing. Overall, she's very professional, thorough, patient, friendly, flexible, and hilarious. I am so glad I found my lash place and I am certainly a loyal customer!
