My appointment was for 1:30 and that's exactly what time they took me in. Understandably they must work with a lot of people that are deaf or extremely hard of hearing because when I sat down in the sound booth, the audiologist yells cheerfully, "HI, I'LL BE DOING YOUR TEST TODAY!" I'm not deaf, I'm just here for a hearing confirmation exam. I might be deaf when i leave... They are closed at lunch so you won't be able to pop in during your lunch break. They sell a wide variety of special needs hearing products and provide rehabilitative services as well. I didn't have to utilize any of these but if I ever experience hearing problems I won't hesitate to contact the Wild Rose Clinic. They deserve the business. It will give them someone to yell at.

At first, I told the doctor the price I had been quoted and she said, "Oh, it will probably be less!" Then stopped herself and seemed to admonish herself for saying it would be cheaper. Needless to say, they charged me $250 for a 15 minute procedure. But that's not all. When I got home, I noticed that about a quarter of the mole was still there as there was an obvious raised area left. I was moving to BC for a job on Monday so I could not go back in on Monday. When I called, the clinician told me to wait until the scab fell off and accusingly told me I would have complained if there was a bigger incision, or something along those lines. I told her, no, I just expect both the doctor and clinician present to remove the entire mole! I waited another week and of course there is still a part left of the mole, which is hard to cover up with makeup because its raised. Very unhappy with the entire procedure.

The waiting room was rather nice: the chairs were comfortable and there were free sunscreen samples available which seemed like a really good idea as skin cancer is a major concern (especially in summer). This building was reasonably new construction. Transit to get here is okay but could be better -- this office is a bit out of the way. Road construction would make getting here by car a bit more complicated than it may need to be. It is conveniently close to a new residential area and there are a lot of services available nearby.

Our visit was in regards to a sty .....wait for it.....that just won't die. We walked in on Halloween of all days and we're pleased to get an appointment quickly. The staff were all dressed up and gave the kids a great welcome as well as helping Momma set the appointment up with great care. We waited in a private sitting area that offered a wide variety of drinks, books and television for the clients. Once called into meet with the Doctor the staff helped wrangle the kid patient with their treats and smiles before the Dr. arrived moments later. We could not have been more pleased with our check up and left with an above average understanding of what we were dealing with and a progressive plan of how to deal with it. I'm pretty ho-hum about this place. I come here because my SO has been seeing one of the…read moreoptometrists here his entire life. I have no concerns with the optometrist we see... he's great and I think they have a bit more equipment to do more comprehensive eye exams than I've had at other places in the city. I don't remember a picture of the inside of my eye ever being taken anywhere else. I could be wrong though. The eye exam here costs $99, which I think is pretty steep. The service on the floor (where you pick out your glasses, pick up your glasses, get fitted) is sub par. After the eye exam (we picked out frames before the eye exam), the doctor told us to have a seat and one of the opticians would be with us shortly. We were sitting there in plain sight for a long time... close to an hour I'm sure. Then one of the opticians asked if we were waiting for something. No... we're just hanging out. (sarcasm). The woman who called to tell me the glasses were ready was not pleasant, and neither was the lady sitting at the desk when I arrived to pick them up. Heaven forbid I logically go up to the counter to let them know I'm here to pick up glasses. She swiftly told me go "stand over there" (by the opticians who are helping other people) and wait for someone to help me. The only redeeming person was the really nice male optician who helped me after that. It was a breath of fresh air. It's not a bad place, but it's just not efficient and could use a better system. Perhaps numbers, or a sign in sheet.

DO NOT waste your time speaking to the individuals working in the 'call centers' (they are ones who call with vision questions and verify your appointment). As soon as I posted my original review: "Untrained staff who are unable to answer basic questions or provide solutions. Super disappointing since I had heard good things before experiencing their non-existence customer service first hand." I had a phone call within 3 hours, where I had been waiting 4 days for an answer to a simple question. I ended up visiting LASIK MD in City Centre on December 3rd, 2019. I personally dealt with Lindsey, Jesse, Victoria & Phyllis, all of which were friendly, helped explained the process and were educated to answer the questions I had. I do feel the communication is a bit slow and believe the only reason I received a call back was because of the 1-Star negative review but I will be following through with the surgery in 2020 and will update my review at that time when I've used their services.

I started my glasses free journey the end of 2020 by looking for a place where not only would I be able to just live life glasses free (in case of a zombie apocalypse who wants to be fumbling for glasses) but also a place that made the experience comfortable. Looking through reviews and asking around with friends and family who have had the procedure done, I settled on King Lasik because you were also able to book your appointment online. I went in for my first appointment in December which was a consultation where they checked your eyes and went over what the surgey day was like as well as costs, and it all went really well. The optometrist was really awesome and every step of the way I felt that I was in good hands. Pro tip if you can for the love of all things please have someone drive you home after this appointment due to the dialation that they need to do. I was given a appointment date for early January which was quite quick considering the covid restrictions. When the day came, you are to be dropped off and picked up, I was nervous but of course excited to that it would be the last day of my blurry vision. The process was a little hurry up and wait. There were quite a few people in the room and you have paper work, a few tests, you pay get your after care kit and instruction, get the optional Ativan, another wait and then you are in the procedure. That part is the quickest and then you go into recovery and are sent home to hopefully sleep. The procedure was for me just a bit weird. Like you are in a laser show. But really other than pressure painless. The after part, the first day you are sleeping and keeping your eyes closed but after that and you take off the little taped cups and see clearly, it is all worth it. It is really pretty remarkable to be able to see within 24 hours of the surgery. (Note this is my experience based on the classic laser eye surgery and not the Other custom one they do!) So thank you to the staff at King Lasik for giving me my vision and just being great!
