I especially enjoyed speaking with her about her volunteer trips to provide exams and glasses to those in the Philippines. She is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi and has practiced in several different countries.She takes the time to ensure that her patients will have the best eyesight possible, even when it means repeatedly showing me options "A' and "B" until I can determine which is clearer. I started my glasses free journey the end of 2020 by looking for a place where not only would I be able to just live life glasses free (in case of a zombie apocalypse who wants to be fumbling for glasses) but also a place that made the experience comfortable. Looking through reviews and asking around with friends and family who have had the procedure done, I settled on King Lasik because you were also able to book your appointment online. I went in for my first appointment in December which was a consultation where they checked your eyes and went over what the surgey day was like as well as costs, and it all went really well. The optometrist was really awesome and every step of the way I felt that I was in good hands. Pro tip if you can for the love of all things please have someone drive you home after this appointment due to the dialation that they need to do. I was given a appointment date for early January which was quite quick considering the covid restrictions. When the day came, you are to be dropped off and picked up, I was nervous but of course excited to that it would be the last day of my blurry vision. The process was a little hurry up and wait. There were quite a few people in the room and you have paper work, a few tests, you pay get your after care kit and instruction, get the optional Ativan, another wait and then you are in the procedure. That part is the quickest and then you go into recovery and are sent home to hopefully sleep. The procedure was for me just a bit weird. Like you are in a laser show. But really other than pressure painless. The after part, the first day you are sleeping and keeping your eyes closed but after that and you take off the little taped cups and see clearly, it is all worth it. It is really pretty remarkable to be able to see within 24 hours of the surgery. (Note this is my experience based on the classic laser eye surgery and not the Other custom one they do!) So thank you to the staff at King Lasik for giving me my vision and just being great!

The COVID19 prevention measures were well followed including calling ahead at arrival, hand sanitizer use, and hand washing before appointments as well as mask wearing. The optometrist was great and explained the images they took of our eyes and what they were testing for throughout the appointments. I liked how quickly they were able to process insurance paperwork and was happy to be fitted for and pick out glasses. They have good inventory of styles and brands. I was quite happy with their sales on eyewear also. I am so happy that Yelp helped me choose this new clinic for our family.

DO NOT waste your time speaking to the individuals working in the 'call centers' (they are ones who call with vision questions and verify your appointment). As soon as I posted my original review: "Untrained staff who are unable to answer basic questions or provide solutions. Super disappointing since I had heard good things before experiencing their non-existence customer service first hand." I had a phone call within 3 hours, where I had been waiting 4 days for an answer to a simple question. I ended up visiting LASIK MD in City Centre on December 3rd, 2019. I personally dealt with Lindsey, Jesse, Victoria & Phyllis, all of which were friendly, helped explained the process and were educated to answer the questions I had. I do feel the communication is a bit slow and believe the only reason I received a call back was because of the 1-Star negative review but I will be following through with the surgery in 2020 and will update my review at that time when I've used their services.

I was super anxious about the experience, because medical/dental visits generally make me uncomfortable, and also because I had no idea what to expect with an eye exam. I was able to book an appointment after work very easily, and I got a phone reminder the day before my appointment. Dr. Khan is personable and put me at ease right away. What other reviewers have said is true, he does talk a lot, but I liked this, since it made the appointment move along quicker, and made me more relaxed. I found the exam to be a fairly straightforward experience, and enjoyed how clean and bright the shop/office is. Windermere Eye Centre does sell glasses as well, and I browsed them for a few minutes after my appointment, but I was too overwhelmed to pick something without having someone like my husband there to help. I did find that their selection of frames was a bit limited, and to me it seemed it was just the same style (square black or brown plastic) over and over again offered by different designers. I haven't ordered glasses yet, but am going to look at a few other places to make sure I'm 100% comfortable with whatever style I pick. Overall this was a really good experience and I'm glad I picked Dr. Khan and the Windermere Eye Centre.

At the time, I informed both the front desk…read moreattendant and the doctor that gave the examination that my sole reason for attending was that I had noticed my contact lens prescription was inadequate and needed to be updated. While both were very courteous and helpful, the entire reason for my visit apparently escaped them in spite of the fact that the front desk attendant provided me with a case to remove my contact lenses and the doctor provided me with sample lenses and did an examination to ensure they fit properly. Later, I phoned to request a copy of my prescription, and was very handily provided a prescription that states explicitly that it is not valid for contact lenses. When I phoned back to inquire, I was advised that I was not charged for a fitting and so I could not be provided with a prescription for contact lenses (this in spite of the fact that I was in fact given a contact lens fitting.) I was further informed that in order to obtain a contact lens prescription, I would have to book another appointment and pay an additional $40.00 over and above the $95.00 I had paid. No apologies were offered for any inconvenience or for being blindsided with an additional $40.00 fee only after I had paid. It was only after an E-mail exchange that I was able to convince them to release a prescription to me, since the front line staff were more or less unsympathetic to my frustration. Admittedly, had this not occurred, my experience would have been positive, as the staff were friendly and the service was prompt.
