I was very excited to support a small local business. Unfortunately overall I did not have a good experience with Eye Q. When called back for my appointment the doctor was not very friendly and argued with me regarding an increase in my prescription. He suggested I get checked over by my general health doctor to make sure everything was functioning correctly, which wasn't a problem since I had a yearly wellness check coming up any way. However, all came back normal and my prescription had just gone up quite a bit. Needless to say this left me feeling confused, but I decided to order the contacts anyway. It's been a month since my initial appointment and still no contacts in. My replacement/trial contacts have dried up and ripped so they gave me some that were "close" but are still causing irritation and headaches. I've stopped over multiple times during business hours to ask questions about this but there was no one there. I understand being open by appointment but why have regular hours if you aren't going to stick to them? Anyway, I've really wanted to like this place but I'm finding it really difficult and will likely go somewhere else next time. read more

Watch for the bait and switch for your lenses. My eyesight actually slightly improved. I was quoted a price to fit what my insurance would cover. Yet 2 days later I get a call from the guy who appears only to be in sales. "spherical difference" in new prescription would cost $100 more, but he was "super generous to split the cost", Never again. read more

I was really let down by the service I received from Eye-Q both from the front office staff and the optometrist. I had booked an eye exam appointment two months in advance. One day prior to my appointment, they called to cancel it. I had to then rebook with another doctor several weeks later, which was inconvenient since I haven't had eye coverage in 2 years and just got received it this year. On my appointment day, the front desk guy had no record of me making an appointment but luckily he said they could fit me in. Okay... I filled out no new patient paperwork about myself or my health or my health insurance. No one asked me if I take medication or why I was coming in that day. When I finally saw the doctor, he argued with me about what I could and couldn't see during the eye test and was condescending when I disagreed with him. He didn't address any other concerns I had about my eyes. Just unreal. I decided to get glasses so I just started looking on my own. No one helped me. The front desk guy seemed to be the only person working to answer phones and help with other patients. I picked out the frames I wanted and that was the first time he asked me if I had insurance. Unbelievable. He almost forgot to check my eyes so the new lenses would fit. Just so unprofessional and disorganized. I picked up my glasses recently and no one could help me try them on. When I asked to have them adjusted to fit my face, front desk guy didn't even look at me but just took my glasses to the back for 10 minutes. It was bizarre. Overall, it was such a disappointment and waste of time to go to this place. I'm confused by all the glowing reviews but can only guess that in the last few months this place has gone down hill. I don't plan on coming back again and am getting my new glasses adjusted at another eye care place. read more

I have nothing negative to say about the services. Dr Peterson sent me to an ophthalmologist when I needed it and my Low pressure glaucoma was diagnosed and treated. As for my glasses, James has been so accommodating as an optician. He knows how hard I am on frames and suggested the appropriate ones that hold up to my wear and tear. everyone there in knowledgeable and very accommodating. read more
