My sister referred me here because she loves the staff and fair pricing so I thought I'd give it a try since I had recently lost my glasses. Updated my file with a new examination and got myself some new lenses for the pair of frames my sister had gotten for me (she's a sweetheart). The staff here were very knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. The exam was painless and very eye opening as I bombarded the doctor with questions about my eyes, I felt like I learned a lot. I have seen many optometrists in the past and I would have to say this was bar far my best experience ever at an eyeglass store. Staff was super helpful with being polite and also checking my Insurance. The doctor was the friendliest appointment I have ever had she made you feel like a person not just another appointment, there was a concern from my last doctor that I may have glaucoma, this doctor was so thorough and was able to rule that out. The best part about this company there was no hard selling for more expensive items like better frames or better lenses etc. They find the right frames and lenses that fit what you want. Dr. Mai & the staff are so amazing! Been helping me since 2018... I got my prescription contacts same day and now waiting on my new glasses hopefully sometime this week! I will never forget what Dr. Mai told me when I first met her. As she help me pick my first pair of eye glasses back then, she asked me what I do for a living and she goes, these ones are the ones covered by your insurance and these nicer ones are not fully covered so you'll have to pay your copay but I would think it's best if you pick what you really like because eye glasses will be a part of your daily routine and don't feel bad if you choose a more expensive one! Might as well go one time big time! And then since I lost my second pair, I wanted to get glasses and contacts this time and both Dr. Mai & the staff took their time to help me pick my new pair and even taught me how to put and remove my contacts. I would never go somewhere else. Customer service deserves more than 5 stars for sure! read more

I walked in to get a new prescription so I can shop around for new glasses soon. The staff were nice and I was able to be seen right away. In and out, very quick - I went in yesterday morning when I figured most people would be busy. I ask for some estimated prices on what it would cost to buy the glasses with prescriptions. Avoid going to this place at all cost. I used to like this place a lot, I've know this place since 2009. when my wife went she happened to have an eye infection from her contacts. This was a bad experience right from the beginning, first they couldn't find her insurance info, but they still saw her and didn't tell her anything about being cash patient. They prescribed her something. Then schedule a follow-up appt, then she called to reschedule, then they told her that she wasn't cover for what the Dr saw her for, so I stopped by on my way home, I get there, and the secretary lady kind of explained me that because the way the Dr treated her, or some BS, it wasn't covered by her insurance, and we needed to pay $80 The only way our medical insurance would covered it, it was if we had PPO, obviously we don't, HMO wouldnt cover it, so she asked me what was my solution. Are you kidding, what kind of sarcasm is that!!! So I started going off on the lady and told her, if she couldn't find my wife's insurance in the first place, why they even saw her, if what they did it's not cover on most insurance policies, why the didn't just sent her to see her PCP The answer was, that my wife had red eye, then just send her to Urgent Care or her PCP On top of everything else, whatever they prescribed my wife, gave her such a bad skin reaction that we had to go to the urgent care, so now we had to spend more money, Co-pays, meds, special soaps, body lotion, the itchiness was out of control. The skin reaction lasted about 2 weeks or so. All of this for some inept secretary, that lacks on communication. Oh and to finished it even better, they called my wife that night, and explained that because they did eye exam, they were able to collect some money back from the insurance Really, they couldn't try that before. We ended up paying $30. Also the voicemail was in Spanish, can you be more fuck**g racist, I speak better English than the secretary there. So now they have lost a good customer and a lot of references, now I'm making sure people I know doesn't go there. I had sent a lot of people before, lafter I told them about this experience, they mentioned that they did get some attitude from the secretary. read more

We are returning customers it's our second pair, it's close to our house and I'm so glad. The girls are always helpful, Lidia I believe was her name was the last one to help. They take a little while longer I think, than other places to receive your glasses but it's because the prescription is on point and that's more important that glasses in a rush that the prescription is not accurate and you end up having more vision problems and spending more money in the long run. The frames are fabulous and the Girls are professional, friendly and super patient with mom . I will get my glasses here in December :) read more

I was recommended to Eye Q by a friend and came for a check-up on my day off. Customer service: exceptional. Dr. Phan is very helpful and gracious in helping me correct my vision as well as explaining to me the challenges of having an astigmatism. She carefully reviewed several options to me for contacts and glasses. Her assistant was equally as helpful so overall I had a great experience and got what I needed done taken care of. Friendly and knowledgeable optometrist and very reasonable pricing. I switched from little saigon optometry which was very inferior in both service and professionalism. $85 for the contact exam which is cheaper than Costco. They also ship my contacts to me in LA for free! I highly recommend Eye Q to anyone. read more

I really want to give 5 stars because the customer service was impeccable but I am so unhappy with the merchandise that I just can't. Everyone was so helpful, kind and patient. The doctor was so helpful and explained everything, however I had to return my glasses 4-5 times because each time I picked up my glasses the prescription was incorrect. I asked a couple of times to return what I had purchased and they only offered a store credit. If I'm not happy with the merchandise, why would I want a store credit for almost $1k? Unfortunately I won't be coming back. The experience left me frustrated and 2 of the 3 glasses I bought remain the wrong prescription. read more

Dr Mai made me feel rushed and does not listen to her patient, I'm the patient here and she keeps insisting her opinion and does not want to listen to what I'm saying. She is rude and made me go drive with a blurry vision and practically said to get used to it!!! And I paid for this services and have been coming here for years and spent thousand of dollars in eye glasses and designer frames and this is how I get treated. This review is long over due and shame on me for not remembering to say something nice about Dr. Phan in here earlier. I just never thought of it till just today. I saw Dr. Phan many years ago only once and since moved out of the area a couple of times. So I would say at least two years I haven't seen her. Nonetheless, this wonderful lady Dr. Phan was kind enough to give me a pair of rimless glasses without any out of pocket expenses twice already. I am currently living in Arcadia, before that, Huntington Beach, before that Garden Grove. Ever since I moved out of GG, I've not been able to find anyone that's willing to give me a pair of rimless glasses without any out of pocket expenses. I have VSP high option, should be able to get a pair of rimless glasses without any out of pocket expenses easily. So one would think. But that wasn't the case at all. I spent hours and couldn't find anyone. But there was Dr. Phan who was willing to do it. Although it might have been a small feat for her to render such kindness, it was a rather big favor for me. I have never told her that I was in a very bad financial situation (& still am & have been since 2009 when my husband lost his job and his UI ran out and wasn't able to obtain any disability income b/c he can't even get out of the door these days. so two adults living on one income is rather tough, especially so when one has multiple disabilities without any disability income but lots of expenses. so i'm penniless struggling just to pay bills)and yet she was willing to do it for me. That says a lot about her. She was patient with everyone. When i first saw her and should have gotten a pair of bifocals, but was rather not used to it for the first time, she was willing to let me get something else. In a nutshell, Dr. Phan is awsome and I'd recommend her to anyone. She brought a piece of heaven to me unknowingly. I thank her with all my heart and may God bless her forever more! read more

Dr. Phan is amazing! I visited this location because of the name, and I thought, "hmm, sounds cool" Her front desk staff is really nice and the store is pretty awesome. Got fitted for contacts for the first time ever and was really happy with the service I recieved. They walked me through everything from procedures to costs. I will return to this office many more times in the future because of the distance it is to my home and because Dr. Phan is really awesome! read more

The girl said that in order to find my file it will take time which she doesn't have because she's with a patient. Worst experience of my life. They took advantage of a disabled 58 yr old man is what they did. It took an additional office visit and THREE emails to get a receipt showing what I purchsed. At one point I was told to wait for my insurance to send me a receipt. When i did finally get it I found they had charged me $235. for a pair of Ray Ban frames that I found on line for $89. No wonder they didn't want to give me a receipt. read more
