I was able to book a new patient appointment for an eye exam, both for glasses and contacts, within a week. During my appointment, I filled out an easy brief new patient form and was seen within 15 minutes. During that time I was helped by the front desk staff (i think her name is Jennifer) and she is super kind and friendly : ) Dr. Yoo is very professional, kind, and a bit soft spoken, which helped ease my nerves. He was very careful, efficient, and gentle during the eye exam. He reassured me about some of my concerns and advised that I keep the prescription that I am at, because going higher isn't always necessary and may cause further eye strain! Never been told that so I appreciate the attention and care. There are a good selection of frames to choose, from nice modern and minimalistic designs to brand names. It took about 2 weeks before I was able to pick up my glasses and contacts and get them adjusted. Jennifer was even kind enough to offer a free 5 day trial of daily contact lenses - so nice of her because I mentioned to her before that I was curious about switching from my biweeklies to dailies . Overall, I'm really happy with my initial experience at this office, with my interactions with Dr. Yoo and Jennifer, I'm even happier to know that they accept Medical, and I could not have had a better experience. read more

I called several offices and couldn't get appointment since it's the end of the year. Dr. Yoo office gave me an appointment the next day. The office is clean, modern, and organized which is important. I don't like office that's look chaotic with all the frames display all over the place. Dr. Yoo is very professional and kind. He listened to all my conditions and examined carefully. He told me reasons why I couldn't see clearly as my eyes have changed and i will be better with the new prescription. The last dr was telling me they were the same ugh incompetent There were 2 ladies at the front office helping me choosing frames and they're very nice, extremely polite and soooo patient. I tried on over 20 frames at least. And the older lady found the perfect one for me...light weight with nose pads as I have Asian flat nose modern but not too gaudy or weird or flashy ..and the shapes.perfectly fit my eyebrows too. I was so happy as soon as I tried them on. Dr. Yoo also gave me useful tips on how to care for my eyes such as nutrition and supplements. Jennifer, who works at the front desk, is very nice and helpful as well. Some highlights: - Despite being a more complex case (double vision, astigmatism), Dr. Yoo was able to diagnose what was going on. He was patient throughout all our visits and took the time to explain what was going on. Came into this business today 9/22/2022 at 4:05pm. My daughter had exam done in June, I informed the lady at the front desk that we have our own frames and that we want the lens put in them with my insurance, she said that would be ok, now today we brought the frames in to get the lenses and she tells me that since I'm not using their frames for the lenses that my frames might get LOST and not only that she said that to get the lenses put in it's going to take 3 to 4 weeks or even a month to have that done. She is totally against me using my own frames, very bad business. It's so hard to get good customer service these days, very sad. I don't understand why people cannot be professional and do their business right, without giving their customers a hard time. SMH read more

I called to make an appointment on Thursday for Friday at 2pm which is very convenient other places had mentioned weeks ahead crazy!! I was around the corner and called to see if I can come in earlier and she gladly told me to come in. I was in and out I chose my sunglasses, told them if I could replace my lens on my current glasses and keep the frame and they did!!! I only waited 20 min meanwhile they switched the lens. I came here like a year ago and I kept forgetting to leave a review! Anyway, I came across this place one day, in need of new glasses ASAP. My old ones were dated and were not really in fashion either, haha. Went in and got greeted by the receptionist, nice lady btw. I got sent in for a eye exam, got my prescription and then bam, I was out choosing my frame. Granted, I took awhile to pick a frame but Dr.S recommended me one that was "the trend" and damn. I RARELY write review but this time I have to. I've been going to Vietnamese offices for the last 10 years as I'm more comfortable talking in my language but recently I decided to try Dr. Yoo since it's close to my house and I'm really glad I went here. Dr. Yoo helped fix my glasses' lens even after the warranty period (I believe it's usually 1 year) with NO charge since it got damaged during the pandemic. I'm so grateful for what he did. He's super kind and caring for his customers/patients. The staff there are also super helpful and caring. I just got my lens changed today (exactly the date Dr. Yoo told me the lens would be ready). I came to drop my glasses frame around 12:45pm for then to change the lens. When I called in ~2:30pm they said they were working on it still so I asked if they could finish by 3 by any chance since I have class at 3pm and need my glasses to see. They immediately said yes and tried to get it done as fast as possible so I could go to class on time. I should have told them I need my glasses ~3pm at the beginning but I didn't want to rush them. I didn't mean to rush them at the end so I feel really bad now. When I came to pick up my glasses, a lady (Not sure if it's Dr. Yoo's wife?) came out to check on me and even asked if it's working well on me. I highly recommend Dr. Yoo office. Went in to get an eye exam for glasses and contacts. The price is very reasonable especially the great service that was provided. 1st time trying this place and I'm glad I did. I came during lunch and was greeted by Dr. Yoo. He is so friendly and caring. He looked up all my insurance and had all the information for me very quickly. He took me into the exam room within 15 minutes from me getting there. He is very thorough with the exam and explains everything so well. I was very pleased with the exam and the time it took. His office is small and they don't have a lot of glasses to select from but the ones they do offer are very affordable and made from very light material. He explained that they are made from sort of a flex foam which makes them super light and not so easy to break. I would have liked to see some name brand lenses as his styles are very limited. Absolute best eye doctor you can go to in OC, I've been going here since my early tweens which would be over 10+ years now. I used to come with my mom and he would always help us out when we didn't have a lot of money and now that I'm an adult and better off he still has the best quality with very affordable prices. Also I like to wear really big glasses and this is one of the last places that will actually fill a prescription, not even Costco fulfills big glasses anymore!! Be coming here for at least 25 years. The staff here is awesome. Had some scratches on a lens an they ordered me a new set to put in my current pair of frames. In few days the new lens came in. They replaced the old lenses with new lenses in about a half hour. The new lens fit the frames great. They just keep impressing me. Would recommend coming here.
