I have been coming to this Optometrist for more than 10 years and have never had a negative experience. However, I went in today and asked to PURCHASE contacts and was told I could not PAY FOR MY prescription..... my contacts still work so I know my prescription is fine. The Doctors are amazing people but the receptionist ERICA is unprofessional and super slow with questions. All I can say is she lost this location a Paying Patient. I was asking her questions and she was yawning so much it was as if I was boring her, the customer service was so terrible. Everyone has their days but I know customer service should be top when speaking to patients not yawning and giving mid service. She proceeded to tell me I could go in at 4pm she has a family going but if they show up she can't take me in.... It was confusing and frustrating. Wont be coming again ever... Only thing is buying online directly would be cheaper but I ordered through them because they gave me so many samples of the monthly contacts + their CS is great. Felt weird to ask them for prescription and then go order somewhere else. Dr Zhao and her staff were great! My mother has dementia and her speech and communication is limited, but both Dr. Zhao and her staff were so patient and helpful with her. My mother can't communicate if her eyes are bothering her but I have noticed her rub her eyes more. Dr. Zhao was able to determine she has dry eyes, she showed me and explain what she looks for when looking at the eyes to determine that. I love Pacific Optometry Group! Ever since moving to Orange County it's been tough looking for a new Optometrist I can trust but this place completely worked out for me. My optometrist was Dr. Zhao and she was the sweetest person ever and extremely professional. Apparently my last prescription was a bit over powered and she went the extra mile to make sure I had the most comfortable prescription for my eyes Dr. Zhao was completely up front and transparent on what the facility provides in terms of pricing, retinal scanning services, and informing me what each machine does. It's nice to know that all the equipment being used here is the newest/most updated technology so we can get the most accurate readings for our eyes. All staff are very friendly and the facility is extremely clean as they take Covid measures very seriously. They took my insurance which was anthem blue cross and explained to me all of my benefits. I have my new optometry place! I used to travel all the way to Tustin but trying to get to my old place started to become a pain. I tried even going to Costco but that didn't work out. I was on my last pair of contacts and decided to try to get my yearly exam. I checked the VSP website and stumbled upon this place (right down the street from our house). I had passed the building multiple times. The exterior is plain but coming inside it's a nice/clean place. Everyone was very nice and the optometrist that saw me was really thorough and even discussed some improved cleaning methods for my contacts (I never knew to rub them). Went to this place bc they take my insurance, after exam the staff came out with an estimate price way over quoted me. I found this nifty place on Yelp and could not be any more ecstatic about my eye appointments. The best thing about having to go to any doctor's appointment is actually wanting to be there. The staff is quite friendly and Dr. Park is one cool lady. Dr. Park is very proactive and cheerful to be around. In addition, she is very helpful and insightful of your eye needs. While offering an abundance of recommendations, I ultimately picked the glasses of my choice. When I went to pick up my glasses Dr. Park made sure the glasses fit comfortably and that I was satisfied before I left the office. They have excellent covid protocols, most of important of which is that only one patient is allowed in the office at one time. It makes the whole experience feel safe and personal. I've been going to a different optometrist every year, trying to find someone who will help me with my dry eye issues. Dr. Zhao was very thorough in explaining why I was having these issues and she gave me a treatment plan (something other than store-bought eye drops) and it has been working out well! She also suggested switching to a different contact lens brand, I think, to something that is more breathable for my eyes. My eyes have never felt better. The rest of the staff is so sweet and helpful when picking out glasses. They are following COVID precautions very well and I felt very safe throughout the entire exam (this was one of my first doctor appointments since the pandemic started). They have a pretty good selection on frames and sunglasses. Prices are VERY reasonable and some times they have trunk specials too! Their cash prices are very reasonable compared to other places and cheaper than Costco! With their super friendly and helpful staff and great prices, what more can you ask for?? I've had bad sight for nearly 11 years and counting and I've had plenty of financial problems, so I was always switching up my Optometrists. I've been to several and THIS PLACE was probably the FIRST TO BE EXTREMELY NICE AND FUNNY. When we first walked in, we were welcomed and assisted without having to wait forever. I was new at the time, so I had to fill out those papers regarding your eye/health history. After I finished, all I had to do was wait 3 minutes and I was already in the eye exam room! This location is very professional and very informative. They were helpful in picking out the frames I wanted and negotiating the price, which is good for someone who has a huge financial problem.
