Ryann and Selah at the front desk made understanding my insurance so easy and were genuinely kind from the moment I walked in. Berry did my eye exam and took the time to thoroughly explain my overall eye health in a way that was easy to understand. I haven't had an eye exam in over 10 years. My experience was exceptional from the moment I checked in. I walked in not really knowing what to expect so I was a little anxious but everyone I talked to really made me feel comfortable. They were armed with information and really listened to all my concerns. Realizing that my brain was working really hard to see things and that I really did need glasses was a little overwhelming. I got a little emotional but the eye doctor was so caring and reassuring I was able to pull myself together quickly lol. The woman who helped me pick out my glasses was just a gem! She was so patient with me while I tried on half the store. I really appreciated that. Her honest opinions came from a place of making sure I got what I felt good in. I never felt rushed. I never felt uncomfortable asking a question about price or procedure. I am so happy this was the vision care center I chose especially for a looonnnng overdue visit. Terrible first impression. I was never told I would be seeing a different doctor when I arrived. I scheduled my appt w/ Dr. Q. Only when I arrived did I find out I was seeing someone totally different after waiting an hour to be seen! The new doctor was very nice and thorough but the process itself was very disorganized. The eyeglass selection was outdated. I spent $500+ dollars on glasses that I don't even want to wear. I ended up going online and ordering a few sets and the styles are perfect and affordable. Money wasn't even the issue, it was just the lack of communication and poor customer service. It felt very deceptive. I also had to contact them to get my eyeglass prescription bc it wasn't provided to me when I checked out. They also said "Oh next time you will be seen in our new Roseville location".....Why do I want to go to Roseville? I specifically picked this place because of living in Lincoln and the location being convenient! Ughh never again! read more

They have dramatically increased their rates! Get your fees upfront. Last year it was $155 for exam + contact exam. This year $273! I'm a cash patient so insurance rates don't apply to me. This is grossly higher than other eye exam rates at other facilities, so who would expect that. How about notify your patient when they are scheduling or when they check in that your under new management and fees have changed. I expect more from a health care professionals office. It feels scammy and icky. Not patients anymore. read more

Awesome Awesome clinic. The Staff is friendly and welcoming. There's only one optometrist there by the name of Melody Quenzer and she is extremely knowledgeable. I have Kaiser insurance but I wasn't impressed with the care I had received. My vision still sucked after years of going there and seeing various optometrists. The ones I saw couldn't get my vision any sharper and blamed it on "getting older." I have a history of lasic surgery, astigmatism, near sightedness and dry eyes. I finally said to myself it's time to get a 2nd opinion so I did my research and chose EYE Q. I paid for this vision on my own and I was super glad I did. I can now see way better than before. Dr. Q did extensive testing with various machines in the office and even showed me how the veins in my eye looked via monitor. I was really impressed with her knowledge and the thoroughness of her exam. She prescribed meds to decrease the swelling in my eyes and gave me various options as far as glasses or a variety of contact lenses. She didn't rush the exam and there was no pressure in buying the products or lenses there. She is also accessible via email and even responded to me on her day off. I'm so happy that I have found her! She will be my permanent doctor from now on! FYI years ago I used to fly to NYC just for an eye exam. My eyes are really hard to diagnose and the docs who aren't experienced enough would always get my prescription wrong. I've seen many and only a handful can get it right. read more

This eye Dr is one of the most unprofessional medical offices that I have ever been to. There is a major lack of communication and follow through and follow up. I went in november for my annual check, didn't get my glasses until 2 months later, after I followed up numerous times and would stop in person to check in to see where my glasses were. Then after one day of stopping by to see if my glasses were in, they were magically delivered that day after I got all the way home. I also wanted to start getting fit for contacts (appt jan 26) and was sent home with trials and was told my prescription ones would be in to pick up the next week. I picked up 2 styles feb 1 and kept getting told they're my prescription even though I told them I wasn't seeing well with them. After a week or so of wearing them, I called to let them know which of the 2 styles felt better but my vision still wasn't good in either. They just said contacts will see different and its a long process to get the prescription right and left it at that and never offered a treatment plan or follow up appointment. After another month of just using the ones they gave (2 boxes of each), I called again in the beginning of April to say I wasn't comfortable with the vision and wondered the steps to move forward with ordering contacts that are better for my vision. They said too much time has passed and wanted to recharge me for everything and said it was up to the client to know when to schedule follow up appointments (per signed paperwork when I was initially in there in november with no provided copy of the paperwork signed). The Dr at no point even looked at my eyes WITH CONTACTS ON to make sure they fit ok. and No, Its not the clients job to know the treatment plan or know WHEN to follow up or a process that is new to them especially already when the client has expressed that no one in the office has explained the process and was just given the contacts to see which felt better. They have dropped the ball too many times and I finally saw a new office today who already provided me with better fitting contacts, they also mention the office provided me with the same prescription for both eyes when my eyes are different (even my glasses that I wear from EYEQ are different from left to right, so why make my contacts the same?) and as I left, they provided me with a prescheduled Appointment for next week to recheck how they look on my eyes and make sure I have the right prescription before placing my final order. Its basic protocol for an office to properly communicate a treatment plan and offer/schedule follow up appointments. Even hair stylists make follow up appointments before their client leaves their appointment. & a side note in case its important to you, They have extremely limited eye glass options to choose from. read more

Recently our insurance changed and they are no longer on the preferred list which has made it impossible to find another eye doctor that is remotely close to this group! Yesterday I was fortunate enough to get an appointment so quickly as someone had cancelled. I was with the same eye doctor for years and my vision is actually really poor. But I went in, and they did the temperature check and I was directed to wash my hands. The staff is really nice & was really seamless in getting our insurance information. Overall dr melody was AMAZING. After years of being told I was not a candidate for lasik since my prescription was so high. But she explained that she referred over a few people with my vision and they were able to correct it/bring it significantly down. Honestly, at that moment i wanted to cry. To have the ability to wake up with real vision is a huge thing for me. I'm glad to have found my new eye doctor close to home who understands my situation. Where to begin? First off, Dr. Melody is absolutely the best! She has tremendous care and concern for her patients. If you have questions, she'll explain in plain detail and make sure you have a full understanding. Dr. Quenzer is the best! Her genuine concern for her patients coupled with her expertise makes her far and away the best optometrist I have seen, and I have seen a lot. By the time I discovered Dr. Quenzer, I had seen many specialists, including the head of ophthalmology at UC Davis Med Center, none of whom were able to get to the bottom of what was going on. Dr. Quenzer patiently worked with me to get my eyes to relax into a prescription that eliminated my constant headaches. I have been a patient here for a few years. I absolutely love this place. The staff has always been extra friendly and the doctor is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large variety of frames available and are very helpful and take the time to find the right type for you. I am someone who absolutely hates getting eye drops in their eyes but it's more manageable because of the friendly atmosphere. There is a nice waiting area with a children's area with toys Etc. This provider has not gotten one pair of our lenses correct. My concern from the beginning was have to two separate pair of glasses for reading (close up) and and computer work. I was up sold on a pair of Jimmy choo glasses by Anne guaranteeing the Jimmy choo glasses would allow for a clip on where I would be able to take them off when not reading up close. It took weeks to find out the overpriced glasses would accommodate the clip on as stated by Anne. Instead of providing me a refund on glasses that clearly did not meet my needs, she ordered a cheap black plastic pair and sent them to me.... I have never been able to wear them either. Wrong prescription strength! I made an appointment with my previous eye doctor and drove an hour to see them to find out all prescription glasses that were provided were not the correct strength (black pair) and the Jimmy Choo red glasses did not have a prescription at all! I paid for glasses that are of no use!!! My husbands glasses are equally wrong. Sad! read more

May 2021 I got a pair of readers. When I picked them up the gal handed them to me with no fitting. I went home, put them on and they slid off my face and landed on the floor. I put them away and never wore them again. Five months later, I made another appointment took these glasses in and had to ask them to please help me make my readers fit. They did. I called looking for what options I had for lenses and was treated as though I was wasting their time. I scheduled an appointment to get an eye exam and new glasses, primarily for computer use. Most of the staff was very friendly and professional, but one gal had quite an impact on the ambiance without saying a word. Even with insurance, they were much more than I had anticipated. I've been trying to get used to them over the last couple of weeks. They work okay when I'm in meetings and for reading but NOT for my computer. I stopped by to see what they could do and was told I needed an appointment. I'm going back today so I'll have to let you know how it goes. read more

Two stars for the doctor. Where to begin. New patient appointments made for myself and my husband for back to back appointments. Took my husband in and I waited a good 45 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Nothing was said that there were any issues as I sat there waiting and waiting. Eye glasses were not needed but we had questions about replacing lenses etc and the lady who helps with glasses made it very clear that they do not work on glasses from other than there own. Well being a new patient we have glasses from other sources. She did state that they would make an exception over and over and over. This was a Saturday and obviously they were in a hurry to leave as we are talking to the lady they turn the lights off in the front section of the office, that certainly sent a clear message. So we decided to make an exception and went elsewhere for our next appointment. read more

The new location is easy to access. Having a Saturday appointment is important as we work during the week. Having multiple people work on Saturday and getting into our appointment at the time schedule is again, very important to us. The doctor was thorough and made good recommendations. The options for glasses is the best I have seen, and I have been wearing glasses for 30+ years. I prefer a more stylish option at decent rates. These are all provided at this location. Although Dr. Quenzer IS very nice, I require more than that from the Doctor I'm trusting with my eyesight. I ended up having to go to Kaiser to be diagnosed with severe Dry Eye. Dr. Quenzer still seemed to want to re-examine me over and over...oh, maybe to collect yet another co-pay. I had to call VSP, myself, after her front office staff had assured me that they had called VSP and were working with them to get my glasses re-done. When I spoke with VSP, they said there were no notes about Dr. Quenzer's office calling, and VSP provided me with a promise of new glasses in one fast phone call. Today, I got a bill for yet another copay--I guess for picking up my glasses a few months ago?! Never, again. read more

This place started off pretty good. Then it went downhill hard and fast. Had a decent visit. People were nice enough and the place and people had a kind of off beat personality. I enjoyed it and that added to the charm. I placed an order for a little over 1200.00 and waited for my flex spending card to come. In the meantime I found everything I ordered down to the frames for cheaper. But I figured you pay more for a place because of the attention to detail and to not be treated like a customer in line at a shopping center. My card arrived and I was all excited. Had a company party coming up and the 10 days or less that was promised means I would have them. Got a call a week later and figured it was ro pick up my glasses. Boy was I wrong. They forgot to place my order and even that they had already charged me. It just got worse from there. I wont post about every conversation we had but I expected them to own their mistake. Instead the only person who paid the price for the mistake was me. I never got an apology from the owner. Never got a discount for the inconvenience they caused. I never even found out why it happened or was made any assurances moving forward. Instead I paid full price for service that fell short in every way. Once they got my money I was treated like dirt. I happen to know a lot of people that use their service which is why I went there. Many people speak highly of them and they are always surprised when I tell my story. Maybe I'm a one off. In my mind when you as a company make a mistake you make it right. If I go out to eat I pay more because of the service and standards. I was disappointed in every way with how this company handled themselves when they made a mistake. To me anyone can do good when everything works right. A mistake exposes many things. Come here at your own risk. You are paying more and as long as everything is perfect you are fine. If you happen to be tge 1 in a million like myself you will pay, not them.
