Have been here a few times and usually get decent service. This time we had a problem getting both the kids together or even on the same day! When we went in (on a Saturday which states "by appointment only") the place wasn't that busy but the greyhound bus rolled up and 85 people rolled in. Just kidding but it sure seemed like that. They took my stepson back for his exam (first time for contacts) and he vanished, he was gone so long I thought about putting him on a milk carton, you know "if you've seen this child call 1-800-HELPMEE. Anyway he finally comes back (he went in he was 13 now he has a wife and two kids) and the Dr says we have him fitted for the contacts we will have Him practice putting them in and pick out some frames. Some more time passes (I am now in a wheel chair and he's putting his own kids through college) when we ask whats taking so long they mumbled something and we said can we just forget the glasses and we'll come back, now the kicker.... She says that will be $100. Does that include the the contacts NOOO. Now we have insurance but they don't cover the exam for contacts? HUH? And you didn't mention this because? We have to pay for the contacts next. I don't know about you but when I go somewhere for a service I expect that, service. They had way to many customers and not enough staff to take care of them , hence the wait. Second if something isn't covered by your insurance an Oh yeah the insurance doesn't cover this and it will be around $xxx. Overall we'll go somewhere else next time. I recently received new prescription Gucci sunglass. Everything went fine at the time of eye check and getting the sunglass since I have dual coverage and can receive a pair of glass every year. I wore the sunglass only few times and just two weeks ago, I was hugging a friend and the glass fell off my head. It dropped and made a white scratch right in the middle of the vision. I called this office and they were out to lunch. After waiting an hour and half since I leave an hour away and came to this area for a business reason, I finally was told to come in and they will look at it. When I went in the girl who helped me looked at the computer and went in the back and came back and told me it will be $190.00. I was blown away by the price and said it is straight lense and I just need it buffed or something. I shows my dissatisfaction on the cost and another lady sat next to us and became very defensive. Please guys show some empathy for your clients, cost is one thing and showing some compassion is another. Customer experience could be better and been defensive is not the strategy to keep clients coming back. Will move to another place where the service is much better. read more

This store cares about Customer Service! All the staff are nice and the person who helped me was very knowledgeable. My first pair I picked up were progressive glasses, the reading was spot on but the distance was blurry. Frustrated, I didn't want them and wanted a refund. Despite them being very busy that day, Dr. Linder took the time to tell me "we want to make you happy" and booked another appt. to check my prescription. The new glasses were perfect. I won't go anywhere else from now on for my glasses. read more

My husband has been going to Dr. Linder for a couple of years now. The staff here under Dr. Linder's leadership provides excellent service and work tirelessly to make sure my husband's contact lens prescription was just right for him. Dr. Linder was also able to look into the eyes to determine whether there are any other potential health concerns that we should be mindful of. When I had a friend who needed immediate attention, Dr. Linder made time for us right away and gave us much needed peace of mind. What did Dr. Eileen Linder help so far today has to be the most thorough and excellent examination of all the previous examinations in my lifetime, even though she has shown her kindness, patience, and cooperation. Also, she did help to answer all of my questions concisely and clearly. She deserved the five stars. Of course, her employees (one of them knew how to sign alphabetically via American Sign Language) were excellent at helping as well. I appreciate what they have done so far. I really enjoy going to see Dr. Linder. I really appreciate how she knows you by name. Once she comes to the front she is able to call one by name which I think this is very cool. It lets me know she don't look at her patient's as a number or just a sign in. The staff is always very helpful and courteous. I like to say that the furniture is very neat and good as well as very comfortable. Keep up the good work Dr. Linder. One more thing I would like to add she is very easy to talk too and with. she listens , and does not rush your visit, and at the same time very efficient and ready for the next patient. read more

I was notify that my glasses was ready to pick up when we get in there the receptionist is rude! And all we want to do is pick up the glasses and go and we seat and waited for so long. Then finally we decided to tell the rude receptionist that we comeback when they are not so busy, she just stare on us.. what a service! read more

Dr. Linder is absolutely great at helping people care for their eyes. My wife and I went to see Dr. Linder at Eye to Eye Optometry because my wife was experiencing blurred vision when staring at her computer screen at work. It was also causing a mild headache for her. We made an appointment with Dr. Linder on a Thursday after 5pm when my wife was of work and she did an eye exam. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, caring and understanding throughout the entire process and determined that my wife needed glasses for use while looking at computer screens. She has a lot of stylish solutions for eye glasses and we were able to select two beautiful eyeglasses that can be used while looking at a computer all day. The service and the experience was very pleasant and above and beyond what I had expected. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Linder for your excellent care of my family. read more

My son and I went in a Wednesday (short-day at school), a couple of years ago, and no problem, although I didn't end up getting my glasses there because they were expensive there. So I don't know if this is a new policy, or if it didn't apply to me and him because we were there before 3 pm that day. I just now tried to get an early evening appt for husband (who works in Martinez, for CC County) and my other son (who goes to school in Martinez) and they don't get home before 5 pm, and the office's only "late" night is Thursday. After choosing a time for each of them, I was asked about the insurance, then put on hold. When the person came back on, I was told that the Dr doesn't take that insurance after 3:30 pm on ANY DAY, nor on SATURDAY (the only weekend day they are open). Um, what?! When I asked why, as it shouldn't make a difference, I was told that's just the Dr's rules. Wow, very unimpressing. read more

I had an appt here for the first time today. Seeing as I was a new patient, I was eager to know how my experience would be. I entered in the office 15 minutes before my appt (figuring I would have new patient paperwork to fill out), the ladies at the receptionist desk were all very friends and greeted me with a welcoming smile. I filled out my paperwork, saw a drs assistant then the dr (young Asian-american gentleman) came out to personally assist me. My entire wait was no more than 10 minutes. My interaction with the dr was pretty awesome. He seems like a very down to earth, genuine, cool dude. He was informative, helpful and very friendly. We did the exam and then I was outta there! The office staff was great, sent me a reminder card for upcoming appointment, texted me a reminder, the only thing is I guess they should do the same to Eileen Linder the Optometrist because she did not show up for the appointment? Makes you think she does not not care about her business or that she is better then you. Time is money and she wasted my time and my money. They say you have to pay if you don not show up or cancel within 24-hour. What happens when they do not show up? read more

I would suggest that you know all of your insurance coverage before walking in the door. My wife was told that our insurance did not cover the eye examination and the refraction cost. I called our insurance company and were told that it was covered 100% and not subject to a deductable. Eye to Eye told us that the insurance did not cover this expense and made my wife write a check for the above services. When they admitted that it was covered they made us wait until they received their claim check from my insurance co. Early in August I called my insurance carrier and was told by them that the check was mailed 10 days earlier. When my wife went in to pick up her eyeglasses they said that our reimbursement check was on the doctors desk to be signed. Now today August 28th 2015.three weeks later and no check. When I called I was told that I could pick up our check today August 28th 2015. Although my wife said that she liked her Doctor the customer service and honesty was terrible, and that we were lied to several times. We will move to another place where the customer service and honesty is better. Check other Optometry Groups before selecting this one...Thumbs down !!! read more
