The lady who did my eyebrows was not friendly at all -- she barely spoke to me, did not welcome me, and simply commanded "sit." Very bad actitud! She rushed through my eyebrows in about 2 minutes, and it definitely showed in the final result. One eyebrow was left noticeably thinner than the other. When she handed me the mirror, she did it in a rushed manner and immediately walked to the register to charge me, making it difficult to properly notice the unevenness at the time. I have had my eyebrows threaded many times before, and never has anyone done them this quickly or carelessly. I left very unsatisfied with both the customer service and the quality of the work. When I'm at Rubal's I can feel the difference in her craft. She takes her time and is a perfectionist so she's spotting hairs and plucking them out or going over them again with the thread, either way she's getting them out. I also explained that I was out of town and didn't have time to come back to fix work that should have lasted longer than a few days. I was then told also by the owner that I was "paying for the design," as if the durability of the nails doesn't matter. No -- I am paying for the full service: the nails, the design, the quality, and for them to last. This service is expensive, and durability is part of what clients are paying for. The overall response felt defensive and dismissive, and based on how quickly they had explanations ready, it honestly seems like this may not be the first time they've received this kind of feedback. Instead of accountability, there was defensiveness and blame. Quality work and respectful customer service go hand in hand, and unfortunately, I experienced neither.
