I bought a pair of glasses for $307.00. I don't use the spray cleaner or the alleged cleaning cloth to clean them. I had them since May 2025 AND they are so muddled that I have to buy dollar store glasses to see clearly. The anti-reflective coating is so worn you can see the glare in my pictures. This is the 2nd pair of clear lenses that failed within 6 months. Nice enough, they're replacing these with a new pair. I'm leery because the rate these demolish are great. What are they using? I have glasses from America's Best that don't degrade like Eye Glass World does. I'm going to get this free pair wear them, and buy NEW glasses at America's Best after the start of the new year. In 6 months I will compare the lenses. Based on past experience I'm pretty sure America's Best will remain the better lens. AVOID Eyeglass World. I believe I'm getting the free pair in order to keep my business. When you look at the pictures you will see foggy, muddled lenses that look scratched but actually the coating used has rubbed in a way that it looks like the coating was applied with very little diligence on the craftsmanship part. read more

After my original review, I spoke with Tiya from corporate, who apologized and offered 50% off my contacts, which I really appreciated. I also want to recognize Collin, the store manager -- he was the one who spoke up that day and told the associate to run my card through carecredit.com, and he later made sure my contacts were ordered and delivered without any issues. I also encouraged both of them to place a note at the credit machine to remind associates to run the card online rather than at the machine for anyone who may not be properly trained. Totally bad products, two exams and both times the glasses are bad what confidence one can get from a place like this, I pay in cash and they give me back a check from 5 to 7 days additionally they hurt me because neither the glasses nor the money believe that one uses the fun glasses so that they play like that with one I was very angry that they charged me for an exam that was useless, they gave me two exams and two exams went wrong, two pairs of glasses are useless if I see more blurred than when I don't use them read more

If I could do zero stars I would. My personal experience was HORRIBLE. I had my appointment on the 8th of January because I needed my glasses for an trip. Eyeglass was recommended to me by family and we went. I was supposed to receive my glasses on January 21st. I didn't have any glasses or contacts. I'm still in school I couldn't see or drive. I called and called and the desk secretaries just said they apologized. I know they can't do anything but they kept giving me false information. Saying that they were going to arrive the following Monday after the 21st, then Tuesday, Wedsenday, then Saturday. I called every SINGLE day to confirm if my classes had arrive or my contact trials. I WAS DESPERATELY in need of glasses and contacts. I left the state without any glasses or contacts. Asked the desk people if there was anything they could do. A pair of glasses close to my original prescription.They mentioned because of an delay at the lab is the reason why my glasses got delayed. An issue that the frame was sold out, I would have appreciated knowledge. I payed full price for everything, I payed to get my exam,glasses and I DIDN'T receive them . BEWARE: "Good" reviews for Eyeglass World may be paid reviews in exchange for free merchandise. When I picked up a new pair of glasses at the Eyeglass World in Orem, UT I saw they had several cheap looking black hard plastic cases laying around and I asked for one to put my new glasses in. I was told by Nathan that there was a charge for the case but that if I promised to leave a good review they would give me one free. I told Nathan that seemed immoral to pay for a "good" review but Nathan didn't care and told that was Eyeglass World's marketing plan. Aside from this questionable tactic of paying for good reviews instead of providing good service and earning the review, the glasses were fine and the on-site eye doctor was excellent. read more

I'm giving a 5 to the doctor but 2 for the staff up front. And you equipment/software needs an update it took almost just as much time to ring up and pay as it did to wait for my kids to get there eyes checked. The selection wasn't the best and they were asking my kids that didn't need glasses to pick out frames. I'm normally patient but I feel like I wasted 3 hours of my time with inefficiencies of the software. Next time I'll go somewhere else. read more

Five for the eye doctor , one for the management they broke my frame in the lab I BOUGHT my own frame and brought them in , they called me to tell me they broke it , told me I could pick out any frame in there store to replace them , couldn't go in due to school and work when I finally go in they said I could pick any of there 195 glasses I pick one that was 99 I asked them if they could refund the difference and they said no there's no difference I could've picked any up to 195 . I asked what about the money my frame cost me the manager said that's a risk you take when they didn't mention any risks when I brought them and then I said well I rather do a refund and since I got the 2 for whatever deal , he asked where the other pair was and I had them on and he rudely said you give us those and we can give you a refund. Obviously I can't give him my glasses I use to see so I just didn't fight with them told them to send those frames to the lab. This is the last time I will ever recommend or come to this place ! They are usually very helpful, but I took my daughter's eyeglasses in for new lenses since her prescription changed. First they told me their only technician quit a few days earlier. Then they called me back the next day and said the technician was in for a few hours and could replace the lenses. They promised the glasses would be ready before closing in five hours. Didn't happen! The manager called the next morning to apologize that they didn't let me know the eyeglasses were actually ready the day before at 5:00. He was sincere and remedied the situation. They usually try to give us the best deal which is important because it is expensive to get eyecare and eyewear for four family members. Their employees usually greet us by our first names--amazing since we are there only a few times every year. Their optometrist is great; appointments can usually be made within a day or two. They have a good selection of eyeglass frames and contact lenses. read more

I relunctally booked an appt at this store, sure I was going to be subject to a mediocre exam and a lot of sales pitch with their glasses. I got neither. Dr Oakley is extremely professional and warm at the same time. He was very thorough and he not only answered all my questions but took time to explain things and provide context. He also did not hurry me thru and he made a point of recommending me products but not leading me to one or two things. I appreciate that I did not feel I put my health at risk as the store is clean and they were cleaning after each client. I gave it four rather than five stars because I did walk out without buying any glasses because everyone of the front store staff was busy helping someone and no one bothered to tell me to hang on or that they would be with me. read more

The initial visit was mildly irritating. The surly receptionist waved me over to a jolly guy who, I found out later, was grossly incompetent. I really hit the trifecta, though, when I went to pick up the glasses. The glasses weren't ready on the promised date. Eyeglass World opted not to follow the prescription and the glasses were useless. To top it off, they lost the paper prescription that they were supposed to follow. I dont like to write negative reiews but this is not the first time this has happened. I will never give this place my business again!! Called to make sure they had my daughters lenses in & then booked an appointment for my daughter to get her lenses cut. When I show up to the appointment they tell me that someone else is booked instead at that time! When I asked if they could squeeze us in she tells me no, DOESNT EVEN APOLOGIZE & then her & another man continue to tell me that maybe I booked my appointment at America's Best down the street instead or the other location in Orem... You know I am not an expert in customer service but even my young daughter knows that when you inconvenience a customer you first apologize, offer an alternative and DO NOT INSULT THEIR INTELLIGENCE TELLING THEM THAT THEY PROBABLY BOOKED SOMEWHERE ELSE INSTEAD! So again I explain that I booked at this location because not only is it showing in my call log but if I had even accidentally called the other places they wouldnt have had my daughters prescribed lenses or her name in their system...how is America's Best or the location in Orem going to have my daughter's lenses!!?? I ask her AGAIN what other options do I have she tells me I will have to reschedule & come back ...obviously this young unprofessional girl is not wanting to even work with me! Here is my update: I picked up my glasses this weekend (Saturday). When I got home I took out my contacts so I could try out my new glasses. When I put them on I noticed a kind of curve to everything in my peripherals. I thought maybe it's because I wasn't used to wearing glasses, as it's been over 12 years! I've been wearing them for 2 days now & I can't get used to this curve of everything - It's like living in a fish bowl. Now I'm thinking back as to why the eyeglass specialist recommended the thinner lenses do to my high prescription. After doing some research as to why people with higher prescriptions can't wear the basic lenses, I now know I will need to go back & get the recommended lenses. I know that's how they make their money, but sadly, really only on us who have bad eye sight. If you don't have a high prescription you don't need to upgrade to any other lense & just get the basic as I did. If your like me, who is blind as a bat without glasses or contact lenses, then you will most likely have my experience & will need to get the thinner lenses to correct the "Fish bowl or Fish eye lense" vision. I should of listened to the specialist, but I was trying to be as cheap as I could be. Another thing I should add - I didn't realize until now that I paid way too much for my new contact lenses. The doctor recommended the AirOptix Night & Day to me since I sleep in my contacts & wear them past the time recommended, these are FDA approved for a full 30 days of continuous wear, but for $70 a box for a 3 month supply, that just isn't going to fly with me. Especially when I'm used to paying around $24 for Avira & that's still expensive for me. So, I figure I will return them & use the $70 towards my upgraded lenses. It makes sense for me now since I will have glasses to wear at night & I won't need to sleep in my contact lenses anymore. Also, in my last review I mentioned my total amount spent ($238) - If you subtract the $70 that should be a more accurate price, IF you get the BASIC 2 for $78 eyeglass Promotion with your Eye Exam. When I get my upgrades done I will do my final update, along with the price of the thinner lenses. I hope this helps any of you looking to buy new glasses. I know now I wish I would of known better. My family and I have been using this location for our contact prescriptions for years. They have always been a rather pain to deal with but the doctor doesn't ramble and generally has us in and out. A feature my busy family really appreciates. Now recently I went in to have my contact prescription renewed. The store was %100 empty. Yet it took them 18 minutes just to enter in my demographics because socializing with their coworkers was of more importance. Now, After my exam like always they wrote the prescription for a brand I do not like. I told them 4 times that I would prefer another brand, I asked them to even just write the prescription correctly so we could avoid a hassle later when I order my preferred brand. (I have been using my current brand for 3+ years now yet they refuse the write the prescription correctly.) Every year when I order my contacts online I have to wait for weeks for Eyeglass world to approve it. But it is worth the wait because of the deals I get. However, this year they denied my request and forced me to go with the brand of their choosing. A much more expensive brand that I personally find extremely uncomfortable. The second I walked in the door there were three women standing at the front counter approximately 50 feet away from me and one of them began to howl "HOW CAN I HELP YOU!!!" I immediately regretted my initial decision to go into the office. The place was really dingy with filthy carpets and poor lighting, also had a weird smell. There were what appeared to be homeless fellows waiting to be I.Q. Tested, which was confusing to me. Was very disgusted by the complete lack of service and overall wherewithal of the employees. I was visiting from out of town and my daughter broke her glasses and we happen to come across Eyeglass World. Despite the reviews we decided to give them a try. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. We got such great service from the Doctor and we received our glasses in less than a day. I was out of town when I visited this store. I had recently broke my frames the night before, not even remembering I stepped on them because I had overindulged on coconut rum (whoops!). They were able to get me an exam and a new pair of very good looking eye-glasses in about 2 to 3 hours, which was terrific turnaround time for me, ain't nobody got time to wait 7 to 10 days, I'm looking at YOU Wal-Mart Vision Center!! Anyways, it was a bit pricey for my particular pair of glasses, but the way I see it, you might as well spend your money on something good-looking that is going to be on your face for a good deal of time (especially if you have vision insurance!). Too bad I'm clumsy, but hey, If I break my frames within a certain period of time, they will replace it, which is super awesome. The employees that helped us were terrific and very nice, it would have made my hangover worse had they been less helpful. However, they certainly couldn't have been more helpful. I usually only wear one particular pair of glasses ever, but if I ever do end up getting a second pair I'll be coming back here to do shopping for them, even if it means driving 90 miles (yes I'm crazy, but I'm also legally sane, just throwing that out there). read more

We have been going to eyeglass world for years and been satisfied. However our last visit has not been the usual pleasant experience. We took my 13 yr old daughter for an exam for contact lenses as soon as the insurance would allow (must be 1 yr exactly). Just pointing out that we did not procrastinate. They wanted to fit her with a trial pair first but because she has an odd prescription they had to order them. Said it would be about one week. No problem. 2 weeks go by, no call. My daughter rips her last contact. I call them, trial pair not in yet, should be any day, they will be sure to call me when they are, a few more days goes by, no call, daughter can't see at school. (Her glasses are a few years old and not the right prescription, as we can not afford new ones right now) I call, not yet. I say I am coming in to get prescription that we will take our chances and just order the contacts. They say ok. I go in, they say our contacts are on back order but expected the very next day and refuse to give me the prescription until she tries on the trial pair. MY DAUGHTER CANT SEE AT SCHOOL! Ok 2 more days goes by, call again, still not in. I ask to speak to the Dr that won't give out the prescription. Get put on hold. Then hung up on. Send husband in to talk to Dr. Still won't give prescription. It has now been 3 weeks. I guess we will have to take her somewhere else. Very frustrating. No apology, no offer of a discount for a quick pair of glasses. Nothing. read more

This is a great and I do mean GREAT spot for eyeglasses. Optical Land has the most contemporary and complete selection of eyeglass frames. I needed a pair of eyeglasses and the staff who worked there was so helpful in assisting me get the type of frames and the type of lenses that best suits me. They are friendly, fast, informative. I went to this store two years ago and got two pairs of glasses, the first I've needed since I was a kid. I moved out of state a week later. I have never worn one of the pairs of glasses because they just didn't improve my vision as well as the other pair. I chalked it up to their being a different shape that just didn't work for me. Fast forward two years and I received another eye exam. I brought both pairs of glasses in on the recommendation of the optometrist. It turns out that the pair I didn't like had the wrong prescription lenses put into the frames. No wonder I didn't like them! Granted, I should have realized the issue earlier but had just moved across the country and started a new job, and had no idea the prescription could be checked by just testing the lenses. I called the store and was told there was nothing they would do. Do not use this store. If you must go to them, have your glasses prescription double checked somewhere else. read more
