There was a small issue with syncing my previous exam records, so they had to contact support to get it resolved, but they kept me informed and handled it professionally. The email notifications could use some improvement--the scheduling link in the email went to the wrong system--but the scheduling link on the website worked perfectly fine. I didn't buy new frames this time since my prescription didn't change and I'm still happy with my current pair. They do have a wide selection of frames, and while many lean toward the expensive side, the quality looks good and there are plenty of nice options to choose from. Overall, a positive experience and I'll continue coming back.

To the point that I will likely switch practices after many years even with the best service and care by Dr. Dawn. The face of the front office must be able to professionally multi task and be sincere. This behavior makes myself and multiple others that I know of leave the practice.

I wanted to write this review because the experience I had here was so good. I hadn't had an eye test in a few years, it's one of those things that just kept being put off. So finding Rita and Eyeglasses Express was a stroke of luck really. When I first arrived Rita greeted me in such a friendly way that I was at once put at ease. It was so nice to be treated in a nice way, unlike the larger chains of opticians where you feel like "just another face". She asked what I needed and we had a nice chat about the little shop she works out of. It's a nice relaxing atmosphere and Rita makes you feel welcome. It was a great eye test and I found that my prescription had changed quite a lot. After Rita was so helpful with choosing frames, (you never really know what suits your face) she picked out 2 sets of frames for me and I have received compliments on the new glasses. She also recommended I have Progressive lens, I had tried them in the past (about 5 years ago, and didn't get on with them). She explained that the technology has changed quite a bit since then. I am thankful that I felt I could trust her judgement and went ahead with the order. So glad I did, as I can see clearly again and what a difference it's made to reading and far sight all at once. So to wrap up, Rita is my go-to in the future whenever I need an optician and new specs. Thank you Rita for making the experience easy and relaxing. 10/10 for amazing service. read more

Eyeglass Express is a rare oasis in a world of cookie-cutter eyeglass stores. This locally-owned and woman-owned business excels when it comes to customer service. We were leaving for a trip and I needed new eyeglasses in less than a week. No other local store or chain could guarantee that the glasses would be delivered in time. Not only was Eyeglass Express fast, friendly, competitively priced, and professional, but they retrofitted a pair of 40-year-old Ray Ban Wayfarers, turning them into prescription sunglasses. Peter at Eyeglass Express cut new prescription lenses and brought my Ray Bans back to life. My daughter also had a set of prescription sunglasses and Peter was able to outfit those glasses with new prescription lenses as well. They have the equipment on-site to cut prescription single-vision lenses in less than an hour. So, Rita and Peter gave us excellent service, provided great advice on different lens and eyeglass options, delivered two retrofitted sunglasses and also a new pair of glasses--all at a reasonable price. I work for the US Army and in one of my several trips to Vienna, VA I broke my glasses. This was a Sunday late afternoon and there were no optical centers open at that time. I found Eyeglasses Express in Vienna, VA which offers 24/7 services. I talk to the owner, her name is Rita, and she just went abroad and beyond and solved my problem. Not only she fix my old glasses right away, but she also offer me to give me a brand new frames at no cost at all through her non-profit organization. She told me this was one of the various services she offers to every military member, veterans, and there families. I got my new pair of glasses and prescription in less than 30 minutes. I was so grateful to find her business and I recommend my battle buddies, and soldiers living in the Virginia area, to stop by and support this small business. This is my first time writing a review on yelp. I can't recommend this business enough! When my daughter broke my glasses I thought for sure I was going to have to superglue them together, as I have to fly tonight for work and didn't have time to get them fixed. I thought there must be a service out there that can get this done in 24 hours. Thank goodness I found eyeglasses express. I called the number and received an immediate response. We set an appointment for this morning at 10:30am. It is now 10:57am and I am wearing a new pair of glasses. AMAZING!! Rita was fast, considerate and did the job for an amazing price. Hands down the best experience we have ever had an Optical center! I can't say enough about Peter and Rita. I came into the shop in a panic with my 14 year old son who wears Recspecs for Lacrosse. We needed a fix right away. His prescription was outdated and his old pair were fogging over due to glare issues with the transition lenses. Peter came up with a solution right away and said he could make new lenses with the same frame for my son within 45 minutes. This is unheard of these days. We got the new glasses in one day. The prices beat the local chain store down the road and our eye doctors office. I highly recommend this shop and I am proud to support a small business. My sister is visiting from overseas for the holidays and her eyeglasses frame broke. She was devastated since she did not even had her prescription with her, let alone a second pair of eyeglasses. We went to Eyeglasses Express and received prompt and professional service. Peter helped us find a frame that fitted my sister's eyeglasses crystals, and did a wonderful job of fitting them properly. I had misplaced my original pair of glasses, and just when I thought I would be without a pair for at least a week, I discovered Eyeglasses Express. Rita and Peter were the dynamic duo who were able to get me into a brand new pair of glasses in less than 20 minutes. I needed new eyeglasses in a rush before going on vacation, and none of the chains could accommodate my needs. However, I was lucky to discover Eyeglasses Express and Rita in particular. She was not only very friendly and helpful, but miraculously got eyeglasses with progressive lens having glare resistance, and transitions in only three days. Furthermore, she provided me with temporary lens in an older frame of mine to enable me to function until the new ones arrived, all at a price that was competitive with the chains. I cannot say enough good things about Eyeglasses Express. One of the sides of my Jimmy Choo frames sheared off. Instead of being a simple repair, it did not appear the glasses could be fixed. The practitioner at Eyeglasses Express performed "surgery" on the glasses by refitting the hinged piece into the frame and recovering it. They look as if no repair occurred and they fit better than they did prior to the repair. I was not charged more than was originally quoted for a simple repair. We are so pleased to have found them. My eyeglass frame broke in the middle two nights ago and I was very lucky to find Eyeglasses Express yesterday. When you loose both your regular pair, and your spare eye glasses and you are as blind as I am, finding a place that will see you urgently is rare. But not only did Rita accommodate, she opened up her office as an emergency visit, and refunded the cost of reservation when I showed up. Her level of care and patience is amazing. Thank you gentlemen - you did great. I delivered an eyeglass frame which had suffered a broken hinge on one side. A relatively expensive model, originally manufactured in Germany, which my regular eyecare supplier refused to repair. The folks at Eyeglass Express took in the frame and had it repaired and ready for collection 2 hours later. Excellent all-round performance at a very reasonable price. read more

Glasses broke this morning, on a snowy sunday. While most other places were closed, this place was open, by appointment. Within an hour of setting the appointment I was greeted and had my eye exam. All within an hour, I had my exam, picked a new pair of glasses and had them made right then and there. Not only do I go here but so do my children and he's so patient with them. He has a great bedside manner and won't rush you through the exam. I don't really care for flashy and modern places like Warby Parker; I'm the kind of person who focuses on the service and value of everywhere I go and Eyekare express checks all of those boxes for me.
