Very good experience. My eye exam was free and the prescribed glasses were covered by my insurance. We then came back for my wife's exam and since she has no insurance we only received 30% off of her glasses. The store's owner was extremely helpful and the doctor was very professional. I went back a week later to pick up my prescriptions for both of my eye exams. The woman told me she could only give me the one for contact lens which I paid $150 for the exam . I reminded her that the doctor did both exams and I had also given her my insurance information the initial trip which should covers only one of the two exams . She finally had given me both after she has a debate with herself . I was convinced to order my lens through them over a week ago and I still didn't receive them where as if I had ordered them through my normal online retailer they would have arrived 3-4 days and with free shipping on my doorstep. As I said in my first review the doctor was awesome but I'm not too fond of the Saleswoman , I felt as if I was almost played for a fool. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!! They are RIP OFFS!! First, they take my insurance plan but when I inquired about a contact lens exam, the girl said it wasn't included. Actually, it is! I have the insurance papers which state it is. So, I will be reporting them to my insurance company. Then she tells me that it's $150 for an exam! Are you kidding me??? No thanks! I paid $79 at Wize Eyes. In addition, she says my 6 month supply of contacts will be another $145. But lucky me, she will give me some money off. How about I just go somewhere else & save myself a LOT more?? The girl wasn't even friendly and seemed very uninterested that she was losing business. Guess that explains why the store was completely empty & they were just sitting around!!! Hopefully this place goes out of business ASAP!! read more

I'm only writing based on a repair for a frame I brought in. My 1 year old bent the frame past the bending point and my glasses were very crooked. I walked in, no appointment and asked if they could repair the damage. The older gentleman said he would try but was not responsible if it broke entirely. I agreed and waited 5 minutes. He was able to repair the frame and NOT CHARGE me for this service. Only after I had this great customer service did I read the horrid reviews. I'm surprised I had such good luck here. two weeks ago I had an eye exam at eyeland vision. Dr winingrad was so helpful and caring. he is an amazing dr!! he found that I had been wearing the wrong prescription (over corrected) Keri then helped me choose a beautiful designer frame - there were so many to choose from it was hard to pick just one!! when she told me the price I was amazed. the prices were 30% cheaper then the competitors I previously checked out. today I picked up my new glasses and I am so happy!!! definitely recommend this store and will be back with my family for sure. thank you eyeland !!! read more

This was my first pair of glasses. Carrie was wonderful. the glasses still dont seem right, but the last time I went back was told I need progressive and not just reading. I was LUCKY enough to get the reader lens into a frame, but had to pay for the progressive. I have faith that they have been in the business long enough that they want to make their customers happy and yet make a profit. read more

I bought my progressive glasses here and I am satisfied with it. Despite of the fact that they said I can pick it up after a week but I wasn't able to because after it was done in the lab in NJ, the delivery was delayed because it was delivered in the wrong store. At first I decided that I will just refund the money and the owner agreed on it; but since I like the frame and style I chose, so I decided to wait. The owner wants to be fair to me as his new customer, he himself pick the glasses from the lab and finally I have it , not only that he gave me free reading glasses with beautiful frame ( it's worthy to wait for sometimes). DO NOT PATRONIZE. I needed a new pair of glasses and this business accepted my union plan. I've been wearing glasses for years and this was the worst experience I've ever had. The optician who performed my exam was nice but her equipment was ancient. The selection of glasses was limited to styles which would have been considered old in the 70s. When I finally selected the least horrible frame, I was told about excessive charges over and above what my plan would pay. When I asked for the prescription to get my glasses elsewhere a man came from the back and reduced the price by $50 which was still excessive. Then they said it was not their policy to give out prescriptions until they are paid by the union. I've never heard of such a thing. In addition to everything in the store being outdated, the carpet was absolutely filthy with numerous large stains. I would never go back to this establishment. read more

I should have learned from my first bad experience 2 yrs prior. I went in with a prescription to be paid by my insurance. By the time I was done, I was paying almost $500 out of pocket for glasses that were not designer frames. Anyway, I was told they would call in 2 weeks. 3 weeks later, no call. I called and the girl told me that because of the "special coating" I needed it would take another few weeks. I told her that was exactly what happened 2 yrs ago & maybe it's time to get a new company to make them. She said they did and asked me to hold on. When she got back on the phone, she said my glasses would be ready in 2 business days. This was a Thursday, so she said no later than Tuesday. On Friday I got a call that the glasses where ready to be picked up. So, how do glasses go from needing a few more weeks to be completed to being done in less than 24 hours? Since I was away for the weekend, I still have not been able to pick them up. But, I will be sure to come back with a review after receiving my glasses and noting the apologies from the staff of the place that I will never go back to again. read more
