Office staff is horrible, my contacts were never ordered when I spoke to Dr Kahafe about it he apologized and placed my contact order a couple weeks past u never received a call that my contacts were ready. When I went to the store only one box of contacts were ordered I have a different prescription for each eye do I was very disappointed that the doctor only order contacts for my right eye. I have called a couple times for explanation and refund as of today no response. This place is very unorganized and expensive. I will never return and I do not recommend this place read more

I felt like I was dealing with car salesmen when I came to Eyeland Vision. The doctor kept pushing for AirOptix contacts (probably because he gets more money) even when I insisted on keeping my old brand. Long story semi short, I was able to get a prescription for both brands. However, both prescriptions had the wrong base curve! The base curve I was given on both were not valid base curves. The doctor refused to give me a new prescription with the correct base curve until I came into the office. Even after I came back to the office he wanted me to come back to buy my contacts there. No, thanks. I will never return. I think it's unprofessional to give any patient the wrong prescription especially if you are doctor dealing with an important organ. read more

Before I was going to America's best, of course because of the prices! this doctor told me that I have been wearing a wrong prescription.. I was in shock! This place was so close to home and I've been here years ago. Super friendly environment, they do offer saving options for those that don't have insurance. We had a great experience here. The Dr. Was absolutely awesome and knowledgeable. My son ended up needing glasses and we also wanted to get contacts. The only complaint I have is that I wasnt told in advance that I would have to pay for my son to be sized for contacts. They had already done it so it wasn't like i had a choice to say no. We also wanted to get glasses there and the Dr. was giving us a discount since our insurance only covered part of the contacts. I was initially impatient. This was the most thorough, interactive, eye wellness exam EVER! When I got in the exam, my eyeballs had a workout! I take it back. I was gushing about this place last month - the decor, the friendly service, the personable and honest optometrists. But after waiting a week for my new glasses, suffering with the wrong lenses for another few days, bringing them back to be checked, waiting another week, called to come back, then the optometrist FINALLY realizes the axis is wrong (which I have been TRYING to tell them since Day 1 although they insisted they were right and remained utterly perplexed), and am now going on Week #4 of waiting for my damn glasses with the RIGHT axis and prescription and everything... I am *completely* fed up. Yeah, my old optometrist on Bellaire was in a rinky-dink office and barely spoke English, but at least he got his 'ish done in a timely manner. You're supposed to see your eye doctor every year, not WAIT a whole year. Bottom line. The people here are really friendly, nice, and personable folks. But it's just not professional. Do not waste your time and money here. I ran out of contacts and called to reorder contact lenses since I had my eye exam done here. I called to place an order for contacts and the staff immediately told me that they will be in next week, automatically assuming that I already requested the order. I had to explain over and over that there was no pending order and that I NEEDED to place an order. The staff finally pulled up my prescription information but could not find out the total amount that I would pay (which would need to be collected prior to them placing the order). They said they needed to verify with my insurance first and that they would call me back later that day... I never received a call back and had to call them to follow up for almost a week...Each time starting at square one explaining that I NEEDED to place an order and was already waiting for a call back from a member of their staff. They finally placed the order which I was told "would be in in a week." My contacts did not show up for over a month... read more

Both Dr. Khalfe and Sala were very professional, knowledgeable yet personable. There were some issues getting my corrected vision to 20/20 while fitting me for my contacts, but Dr. Khalfe was determined and didn't stop or give up, changing and tweaking things until finally - VOILA! - he hit it perfectly! At first I was skeptical about going to such a little store but, Dr. L. A. Khalfe was wonderful! He was very patient and answered all of my 50 million questions lol. He checked in on me often to see if I had anymore questions and showed me frames that would compliment me. Judy the receptionist was very kind and helpful as well. My actual appointment with the Ophthalmologist was good, but when it comes to my interaction with the front desk desk staff, I'll say they need a lot of work. The front desk receptionist tried to up sale me for contact lenses and offered me a promotional deal they had with my insurance. I was specifically told " The two boxes of contacts are $210 but with the rebate special of $200 back, you'll only be paying $10 in the end". She gave me completely inaccurate information and didn't even provide me with my receipt or the rewards special instructions in order to get my money back, but instead told me to be expecting my rebate in the mail. I waited for weeks and finally called after a month and a half to be told I need to log in to the contact lens manufacturer website and enter a rewards code to get my rebate, which was only $80 when I finished putting in all my information. I called the office back at once to see if I could get anything back because I was obviously given wrong information just to make a sale. The doctor was way to relaxed on the phone as I was voicing my very heated frustration and didn't even offer an apology for this inconvenience or offer to reprimand his staff, he just offered to resend the rebate information. I filed a medical grievance with my insurance company, and was updated saying the doctor would call me himself. It has been another two months, but he's had multiple weeks prior to the COVID 19 pandemic to reach out and resolve the issue. I'll have to file another medical grievance, not because I'm so upset about losing $120, but because I would like healthcare providers to actually honor what they say, and not be slow to respond to patient complaints. read more

Dr. Khalfe is an amazing doctor. He is very personal and really listens and understands your needs when it comes to your eye sight. I know he is very knowledgeable about eye health because the changes he told me to apply when it comes to my glasses and contacts have only improved my eye sight. And there have been no changes in my eye sight since I started coming to him. It's nice to have a doctor that really cares about the health of his patients and not about the dollar sign. read more

Normally, going to the doctor is a long drawn out process. But, not at EyeLand vision! I was in and out in under one hour. The only reason I took so long is because I tried on numerous glasses to see which style/color looked the best on me! The front desk representative was very patient and provided honest feedback on style of glasses and how the looked for me. I appreciated that! Had an eye exam, picked glasses, and dilated my eyes all within 90 minutes or so. Dr. Was quick to see me and explained everything that was done. Fatima (young lady at the desk), was nice and efficient also. Place was clean and easy to find. Appreciated them cleaning stuff before my face and head touched it. Ive visited twice now, once for my exam and once for contact pick up. The staff and Dr are all very friendly and informative, but also have high pressure sales techniques. For eye pressure, they dont use that stupid machine that blows a puff of air, so that is a huge upside...yea, Im a wimp. The contact prices were much higher than online competition, I should have done my homework. I will definitely continue to use Eyeland for my eye exams. read more

Dr. Mattioli is an amazing Dr. but I have to say the office is definitely scamming people on prices of glasses. I have the absolute best eye insurance you can have and had an allowance and still had to pay almost $200 to get glasses and lenses. I really don't like being taken advantage of and I believe that's what's going on in this office off highway 6. In the office pretty much all glasses are well over $150 a piece of which is definitely very high. I feel they make the glasses so high so that the allowance is paid but the customer still have to pay for the glasses it's a money mechanism really trying to beat the system and double dip, it's not right at all. Even Dr. Mattioli himself said "oh, her price is how much? She has the best insurance". This is from his own mouth to his employees in the front. He told me he would discount for me so that I could still purchase glasses but I ended up declining the offer and took my prescription to an online eye place to get glasses for $29.99 now come on, why charge such high prices? This is something I want to know but trust me I know why. It's because they don't want to wait for insurance because it might take a long time to pay so they charge extra so that the customer has to pay out of pocket smh I have never had to pay $200 for glasses with insurance that's just not right at all. I brought my friend as well she ended up getting contacts and was told it would be $70 for the visit and ended up being way more than that. It doesn't make sense at all. She was than told she had an allowance of $120 with an additional $20 due to the eye place being in network with VSP but she still only got a 6 month supply and had to pay out of pocket for a 6 month supply, we got home and looked online and it showed she could get a year supply with her allowance and come out of pocket about $20. So again why is there prices so high in the office but going online or in Walmart it's cheaper. It's because they are getting over on people and it's sad because the people at the front desk really have no clue of what there doing whatsoever. They also crossed me and my friend information over and was giving us both each other information which is clearly a HIPAA violation, I will never refer or go back to this office, I appreciate my eye exam but wish this office would either update prices like other markets or close the business because getting over on people especially people with insurance is not ok at all you all should be ashamed of yourselves for even charging this much for glasses knowing the same glasses are way cheaper somewhere else but your trying to beat the system. This is just a review but hopefully someone reads it and after i submit this review I will be contacting the BBB about your business because I feel you have done this to a lot of other people as well. read more

I've been there 3 times and each time the staff up front was different but they all have the same attitude....that is that you the customer are inconveniencing their day. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The op-tech came out from behind the counter to welcome, all my paperwork was ready, because I had registered on-line, she took me to the pre-exam room and did the analysis. Guided me to the exam room and then the doctor came in. Very friendly, shook my hand, asked me about my previous eye exams, highly detailed and then did a good test. Since he was very familiar with my native country, we broke into a pleasant conversation about my and his educational background. We both went to U of H. After the exam the op-tech showed me quite a few frames, I think her name is Sadia, very pleasant, no pressure, the frames were excellent specially Versace, but unfortunately above my budget. They gave me my prescription very neatly computer printed. Now comes the problematic part for which I did not give a 5-star rating. PARKING, parking, parking. Being near Walmart and next to Chase is the problem. Dr. Liaqat you need to move to a bigger spot. read more
