This location of Eyes by India is an (extremely) no-frills threading shop on the east side near Irvington. Some may be put off by this shop's location in a rundown strip mall, sandwiched between a Little Caesar's and an insurance agency. If you're lucky, you can get in and out of here (for eyebrows threading) in 10 minutes or less. This is the only Eyes by India location I've been to that requires payment for services up front. read more

the lady with blonde hair is no good. I got my lashes done Yesterday . I wake up today my eye lids are burning because she glued the lases to my eyelids and both eyes the lashes are half way off . I give her a 1 star and never want her to touch anything on me again. the other 2 ladies are amazing! read more

I've been out here a couple of times and both experiences have turned out well. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the staff doesn't always seem the most friendly or inviting upon a guest's arrival. A pleasant greeting would bring them a long way. The process was pretty quick and mostly painless - they're threading your eyebrows, it stings pretty much every time. Parking is easy right outside and the wait time is usually minimal. The cost is super great as well. There's no reason to complain about that at all. Bring cash & pay upfront. Toss down a $10 bill and get those brows done. Easy-peasy! read more

The young ladies working this evening were unprofessional and lacked customer service. I wasn't greeted and barely spoken to. The young woman who worked on my eyebrows took a personal phone call while she worked. It was the most painful threading experience I've ever had, I actually had tears running down my cheeks (I wasn't crying, it was completely involuntary). Suddenly, she just walked away and left the room without saying anything to me or offering for me to look in the mirror and ask for any adjustments. I was just to assume it was done apparently. I saw that there were several areas that needed touching up and had to ask another woman to fix it for me. I only went here because I couldn't drive to Plainfield today but I've learned my lesson. Pinky hooked me up the last time I went to get my eyebrows cleaned! My eyebrows are really fine, which makes them look smaller than some people's. She cleaned & tinted my eyebrows perfectly!!! It looked closer to natural than most tints! read more

If I could zero stars I would. This place used to be so clean and professional. If you walk in there now it looks very disgusting and unhygienic. The lady doing lashes and eyebrows is only one person. While I was waiting there was a little boy assuming ( the owners son) playing in the front lobby ( which is fine) but it seems very unsafe for him for he can get snatched up at any time. I proceeded to continue with the services I wanted, I sit the chair and she begins to thread and touch my face with no gloves after receiving a payment and touching other things. I am usually used to having my services done with the person doing it having gloves on. This lady did not have gloves on and had just got done doing another lady's lashes. My face is easily prone to breaking out especially if Someone else's dirty hands are touching it. I wanted to ask her where her gloves were but all I could do was tense up and felt extremely uncomfortable and disgusted in the lack of clean environment. She did a good job on my services, but I would never go back there ever and would not recommend any to go back there either. It is a very unsettling environment not because of the area , but because of the lack of hygiene. I did not see her washing her hands or put hand sanitizer to proceed touching all over my face ( mind I am getting thread and wax done ). 0 stars !!!! read more

If you care about good service and good quality work do not go to this location. I used to love it but it has gone down the past few years. My most recent and final visit was the final straw. The girl I always seem to get referred to me as next when she knew I was next. I had no idea I was next because there were 2 other girls sitting there with me in the waiting area. I already don't trust them with my eyebrows so I requested that she thread my upper lip and chin. My thought was she mess that up. I was wrong. When she finished she said she was done. ....it didn't even feel like she did a good job and there were tons of little hairs that she missed. I told her and she went back over my face, this time when she finished she walked over behind the register not waiting to hear if I was pleased. Again, I had to tell her it wasn't clean. She made a final attempt and at this point I was frustrated at her carelessness. I was about to pay her for a service that she clearly didn't want to do. All that to say I will not be going back. read more

I like this location. You can always find parking close to the door and the service is excellent. I usually get my eyebrows and lip threaded. The ladies here are always thorough and it hardly hurts compared to threading done at other salons. read more
