Went in here looking for ray bans and after trying a few pairs on, we realized they were way overpriced (you can buy them much cheaper on the ray bans website). We left after we realized this only to be called back by the lady working there very rudely. She accused us of stealing because there was an empty spot on the sun glass stand. We told her to check the cameras because we do not steal. The woman was very rude and honestly unnecessarily ruined our experience. We had already bought some items otherwise wouldn't have bought anything from them. Would NOT recommend unless Nancy is fired. read more

They have an outstanding selection of sunglasses. Nancy was super helpful and great to work with. We kept going back and forth on which to get and she offered to give us 25% off all pairs so we could get all three. Sadly, once we left the store I saw the price listed on the receipt was more than the tag price. I got a pair that was tagged $699 but rung up as $727.47 and then 25% off. This was the case on all three glasses. I feel taken advantage of and am very upset with myself for not double checking the receipt and totals before leaving. read more

Bought a pair of Bvlgari sunglasses. The day after I purchased the sunglasses one of the screws fell out and was lost. Unfortunately, I was on my way home. Went to a few Sunglass Huts and a Lens Crafters hoping to find a screw to fit....nothing. After searching on the web for a replacement, I had to spend another $16.74 for the lost screw plus shipping cost. Don't feel like this should have happened for what I spent on the Bvlgari's. The merchant should have at least made sure that the screws were firmly in place at the time of purchase. Now that I'm thinking about it, I think something was shimmied in place of the screw and that's why I lost it so quickly. It should have never fallen out like that. UPDATE 1: Luxottica, the site for replacement screws sent me incorrect screws twice. I've now learned that these sunglasses are discontinued and I am unable to get a replacement screw. There is no alternative pair of sunglasses for that model according to my warranty claim at Luxottica UPDATE 2: After 2 service requests with the same outcome, I am getting a voucher for 100% of the cost of the sunglasses due to the warranty from Luxottica. Voucher is good at Sunglass Hut website....thank God. THE OWNER, SOAN, WHO I WAS IN CONTACT WITH VIA TEXT, DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP ME, HE REFUSED TO REFUND ME. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a retail store, period. The customer service was terrible, the saleswoman was extremely rude, and the sunglasses we purchased were marked up over 200%. I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses that were priced at $310. Turns out they were available at Walmart for under $100 dollars. I also bought a pair of rayban wayfairs that I found out 5 minutes after leaving the store were significantly marked up as well. After the purchase, we noticed a purposefully obscured sign that said no returns. Neither of us were told about this return policy prior to my purchase, or during the process of my payment. I also wanted to note that I created a yelp account just to share my terrible experience at this fraudulent excuse of a store. This store is a complete and utter scam and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Update: They are not accredited by the BBB. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Zero stars should be an option. Eyes on Duval is so terrible and deceitful that I created a yelp account to warn others Reason 1: The worst customer service that I have ever received. Not only was she not even remotely helpful, but also the lady working the store was incredibly rude. For example, when I asked for her help in picking out a pair that would look good on my face, she responded: "It's your face", then returned to looking at your phone and completely ignoring our presence. Reason 2: This store is an overpriced scam. Do not be fooled by the % of discount signs throughout the store. Everything in the store is incredibly marked up. For example, my girlfriend ended up purchasing a pair of Prada Sunglasses with a 40% discount that was listed as $310 and $186 after discount. Upon further research, one can purchase that exact pair on Walmart.com for $99... This is the case with every pair in the store. Reason 3: The store employee and owners are deceitful in their refund & exchange policy. They do not accept returns under any circumstances, this was conveniently never mentioned before the purchase was made. There is a sign stating this policy on the counter that is conveniently obscured from view by the register and discount racks. Reason 4: Reasons 1-3 are common complaints that many regretful customers have shared on yelp and google reviews. Evidently, this experience is not an exception but the norm at Eye's on Duval. Reason 5: Alternative options are superior in every category. For example, there is a Sunglass Hut about a block or two away on Duval St. That is cheaper, has 2-3 times the selection of sunglasses, and provides infinitely better customer service. For example, a pair of Raybans listed for $196 at the Sunglass Hut (BEFORE any discount they may be running) were listed as $269 and cost $250ish (AFTER the "Discount") at Eye's on Duvall. "Would you like to see something?" ..."Yes, as soon as I look around I sure will let you know and how are you today" ...to which she responds " I said would you like to see something?!"
