Best eye exam experience in th 10 years I've worn glasses! I got an appointment promptly, booked online easily. Shop was aestheticly pleasing and the receptionist kind. Friendly tech took me back. Then I met with Dr. Lawson. She was kind & thorough. She explained everything so well and patiently answered any questions I had no matter how silly or small. I never felt rushed. Time to get glasses. Dr Lawson walked me out asked about my style and when I said I wanted to stay within my insurance allowance for frames she said no problem. She grabbed a bunch of frames and gave them to Jessica who picked out more frames. Both Jessica and Dr Lawson looked at the frames I was trying on giving me honest feedback. They were clear about what looked good what didn't and why. I trusted their opinion when they both agreed on a pair. 2 weeks later I picked up my glasses I loved them. They adjusted them gave a case mirco fiber clothes and a cleaning spray. Later when I noticed they pinched a bit, I walked unannounced they helped right away! I have had glasses since childhood and have decades of experiences with various different eye doctors but have never had one as thorough and attentive as Dr. Lawson. I first came here in 2019 having issues with burning from dryness. She explained to me what was happening in a way I could understand it and made a plan to switch me to daily contacts instead of the 2 week I had been wearing. It's been two years and my eyes have never felt better. This last visit she gave me a couple different brand options to chose from and let me go home to do my own research on pricing and availability (I order contacts both from Eyes on You and from a third party website) before she wrote my script so I can make informed decisions. I am also considering lasik and since she had worked in a lasik office, she had a lot of information on what to realistically expect, thoughtfully answered all of my questions, and eased a lot of my concerns. I've been going here for a over 3 years and although I like the Doctor, I am very disappointed with the follow up by the staff. 3 of 3 times I have not had success. First time 3 years ago, I ordered glasses and they did not come with the transition lenses I paid for and they had to reorder. Second time, they never contacted me to let me know my glasses were ready. Third time (last month), they never contacted me to let me know my glasses were ready, and they never called me back when I called and left a message asking if they were ready. I have a 3 strikes and your out rule, so next year I will be going somewhere else to get my eyes checked and eyewear updated. read more

I had been going to Eyes on You for almost 4 years. This past year was such a disappointment. I went to Eyes on You for my routine glasses/contact appointment. The appointment was quick but I didn't think much of it. With contact lense fittings Dr Lawson gives a pair of contacts to try. In previous years they were more for feel and making sure they felt good on my eyes. This time the prescription was totally off. Had a 2nd appointment with Dr Lawson and was given another trial set. They weren't right. I was given another set of contacts(no appointment with Dr Lawson because "she knew what I needed"). Those were off too. So then I schedule another appointment because at this point I felt like we were just guessing my prescription. My husband started to make jokes because I went there so often that is she a "doctor" or a "postulator". In the end my prescription was close to my last prescription. Oh and they don't take VSP after years of taking it. I didn't find about this until the day of the appointment and what I was told was that they emailed everyone in January... Also FYI if they do the optomapping (that doesn't require dilation) it costs an extra $40. I like Dr Lawson as a person. She is very nice and does a good job explaining things. I was just very disappointed with how long and difficult it was to get a contact prescription and how much I had to pay out of pocket because I didn't know Vsp wasn't accepted anymore... read more

I have had two fantastic experiences at Eyes On You. My first experience was when I lost my glasses and needed a new pair quickly. The second time I was looking for prescription lens inserts for my ski goggles for a short notice trip to Whistler. For my glasses, I was able to find an excellent pair of frames for my face (the selection of frames was absolutely fantastic). The whole staff was super helpful in picking out a selection for me to choose from. I ended up choosing a pair of frames from State Optical, which is American made brand. Once the selection was done, they put a rush order on my glasses and I had them within the week. For my goggle inserts, they quickly fitted my goggles and had everything done in time for my trip. The anti-fog coated they offered on the lenses is absolutely incredible. It solved all my foggy-on-the-slopes-gonna-die-if-i-cant-see problems! I have already had one co-worker visit Eyes On You since my experiences and he came back raving both about his exam and about his frames. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

The Dr. spent a good amount of time explaining the results and answering my questions, she had some great tips to address some of the issues I had been dealing with. Amazing! From start to end the experience was great. Easy to schedule an appointment, they were able to get both my daughters and I an appointment within the week. Their Covid protocol from beginning to end made me feel very comfortable taking my 2 month old and 4 year old to see Dr. Lawson. The main reason for my appointment was because I have been concerned with my 2 month olds eyes being crossed. My older daughter never showed signs like this before so with my second child I was worried. Dr. Lawson was great and very professional and helped explain all that is going on. We will be doing more follow ups in the next couple months to check on the progression. After Leaving her office I feel at ease with my daughters eyes. Love this place. After moving from Bay Area and had my own optometrist whom I adored, I was skeptical searching a newer one. My older doctor has my medical eye history which is just not a simple eye check up. I have the comprehensive one. Dr was superb and extremely knowledgeable in her way of handling me. My husband also had an appointment at the same times since we were with our little boy, they were gracious to keep him busy while we got our eyes checked . Amazing staff to help you pick up your glasses and lens . They have a wide range of frames. Depending on your insurance and budget, you can pick the best suitable for you. They keep chocolates for everyone .. I love that temptation. Since it is in downtown, street and paid parking, no reimbursements but that should not be a problem. They have very accommodating schedule. I know they are going to be my optometrist for a long time. I was planing on a lasik but the dr advices against it, she really knows that in Bay Area you can be ripped off .. so that was pretty nice of them .. they won me by being honest about my needs. All the ladies that work here and Dr. Lawson are wonderful! Dr. Lawson is a very good listener and has excellent bedside manner. I find that she takes time to explain more than the average doctor. I like that Dr. Lawson take the initiative to present me with choices and multiple recommendations so I can make my own decisions in how to correct my eyesight. This is very different from doctors (not just eye doctors) I've visited in the past that would just prescribe me something but won't tell me what he/she is doing or why he/she recommends something. I'm a problem solver and very in-tune with my body. I've been misdiagnosed by doctors before or was recommended expensive non-effective treatments and I would be ushered out of the office feeling terrible because I know the doctor didn't even bother listening to my concerns in the 5 minute office visit. I get the opposite feeling at Eyes on You. I feel like I can really trust Dr. Lawson with what she recommends because she takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain things to me. Appointments start right on time and are never rushed. I also like that Dr. Lawson stays on top of the latest technology. She has a fancy eye camera I've never seen any where else before where it can take photos of the back of your eyeball without the annoying dilation drops. She recommended me newly released contacts as well as some blue light blocking lens for computer work. All this high tech stuff makes me feel like I'm getting the best/most advanced eye care. In general, I am impressed with the service here. I got trial packs of 2 different contacts to try out for a whole week and came back for a follow up. Other optometrists I've been to in the past would charge me $60-$75 for a fitting fee but would only let me try on contacts in the exam room for a few minutes, no trial packs to take home! Being able to take a pack of contacts home to try them before committing to a whole 120 day supply makes so much more sense. I admit, this glasses shop isn't cheap, but highly worth the price! They only carry designer styles. I spent $800+ on 2 pairs of glasses and this is after my insurance paid for part of it! They are super cute though. The other ladies that worked here helped me pick them out after I gave them some specifications. They seem to really know the styles they carry. This is a glasses boutique and everything is highly catered. I love it, blows all the mall opticians I've been to before out of the water. Expensive but money well spent! read more

I hadn't been to the eye Dr. for years and was looking for something close to my office downtown. Dr. Lawson's office came up in my search through my insurance and I was blown away. Most of the experience I've ever had with my eyes was visiting the mall stores for my exams (which was always awful!) so I had no idea what to expect. What I got was an amazing and memorable experience. Dr. Lawson spends so much time at her practice that she wanted it reflected in the decorating and feel and she's made it feel like an upscale boutique. The space is warm and inviting and everyone there is more like a friend than an employee. She uses modern equipment that makes the process easy and painless and explains every detail without making you feel rushed. I didn't plan on having to get glasses that day but the selection was amazing. Dr. Lawson brought me so many different styles to try on and made it seem like a runway experience. Again, she did not rush me to pick out a style and wouldn't rest until I found the perfect pair. The only drawback I can see is that this is definitely a boutique experience so if you are looking for cheap and quick, go to the mall! She explained the different types of lenses available, her personal opinions on each and her mantra to "Be Picky" when it comes to lenses. She even kinda geeked out on lens technology, which was pretty rad. I felt totally comfortable and educated on the process and eventual choice. Absolutely blown away by the level of service and total experience I just had with Eyes On You. I had LASIK several years ago and my vision has been perfect ever since, no complications, until I started working heavily on a computer again. I popped into Eyes On You, just because it was close to my office. I was greeted by a friendly and informative receptionist, immediately noticed how cute the shop is, feels more like a studio than your typical eye doctor, and coincidentally was able to get an eye exam right then. I don't believe that's common, so you'll likely want to make an appointment. Dr. Lawson is super friendly and also informative. She provided interesting insight around LASIK that I wasn't aware of and also thoroughly explained how computer glasses would benefit not just my work, but every day life. She completed a thorough vision and eye health exam. Confirmed that my vision is still great and so a corrective prescription is not needed. She is so passionate and knowledgeable about what she does and didn't make me feel like a total idiot with my dumb questions. It sounds weird but my eye exam felt more like a therapy session! The office itself is beautiful and creative... not to mention they always have incredible window design! Unfortunately I didn't do my research and it turned out that Eyes on You accepts Aetna vision, but my insurance for vision is EyeMed, which they don't accept; however, I loved this place so much that I am going to continue seeing her and just get my glasses elsewhere. They deserve 0 stars. I saw the doctor 3 months ago, still no contacts, nothing. Last time they promised to at least update me same day--- a week later, nothing. They don't answer calls or texts leading me to believe the recent good reviews are fake. I literally have no contacts right now and when they do call back, they always have an excuse about some disaster that led to them not calling back for months. Don't waste your time here. I am now trying to work and wearing 2 week disposables for week 4 because they don't have the decency to respond about what is going on with my sample contacts while my permanent ones come through. Never have I encountered a medical professional more negligent or disrespectful of patient needs. I had to have my spouse go in person and get my prescription. Sarah took absolutely NO responsibility and said my contacts were never ordered, no apology, no record of my convo with the doctor where she told me they ordered samples 2 weeks ago and the full order last week. She was incredibly rude and hostile to my husband and I, all while her manager stood behind her, condoning the behavior. Now I have to rush to Costco to get an order that should've been filled months ago! This is how they treat patients, like garbage and like they are the victims because they are "so busy." Dr. Evie Lawson is amazing! I have been a patient under her care for years and have followed her to this new location in Seattle. The office is lovely to walk into, obvious through went into the presentation to offer the customer a comfortable glam feel. The front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. Glasses selection is great through I went for contacts this time around. As I've never worn them before Dr. Lawson was fabulous at explaining the differences and making her suggestions for best fit/type/brand. Ordering contacts through the office directly is the easy route as she offers the same pricing as can be found at Costco and 1-800 contacts. Validated parking is offered when using the garage behind the building off of Western. The service at Eyes on You is perfect, I couldn't be happier! read more
